"I feel pretty useless." Taehyung spoke to himself, looking at his ankle. The pain was a solid seven... maybe a rising eight but it wasn't going to stop him. He had an option of staying back but... he didn't want to just sit around and wait. If anything that would just make Taehyung worry more. "Taehyung! Let's go!" Jungkook yelled out which made Taehyung wince only because Jeon Jungkook really had the audacity to be yelling right now?! Zombies idiot! "Coming, I'm coming! Don't yell!" Taehyung got up and wiped the dirt off himself. While doing so Jungkook got the vehicle ready as he then slowly rode over to Taehyung. "This is going to draw so much attention to us."
"Yes but I'll ditch it a little bit away when we come back, just in case. And if we don't have the option of bringing it back, at least we'll still make it back before nightfall." Jungkook watched Taehyung get in before he drove off quickly. "I could've wrote Jimin a note before we left." Taehyung sucked in a breath which made Jungkook chuckle. "I'm sure he'll still be knocked out. Looks like he hasn't slept in hours." Jungkook slowly drove by the cars blocking the road. "Could be the fact that he has a huge cut on his leg." Taehyung added on which made Jungkook stop speaking as he then nodded slowly. "Good point."
Luckily the streets were quiet which was questionable. These days it seemed like Taehyung hardly saw the dead and when he did, they were hungrier than ever. The feeling wasn't nice whenever he thought of it. After locating the pharmacy, Jungkook stopped the vehicle completely as they then sat there, eyeing the area down as Jungkook brought out his spear that was shorter but it wrapped around his arm to keep a good grip. Now that Taehyung finally noticed- Jungkook had quite a choosing of his weapons yet there was no guns. Not a single one. "I'm going first. I'll wave you down when it's clear." Jungkook said as he quickly got out and carefully but quickly approached the pharmacy.
Taehyung was ready to go against it and argue with Jungkook but he had no choice but to stay put once Jungkook left the car and was entering the building. Feeling the nervousness, Taehyung gulped and held his katana. Hopefully the dead were elsewhere because if there was another swarm? he would go down without a doubt. Plan b though? to run. Plan b is always to run. Seeing Jungkook wave him down, Taehyung breathed out and nodded as he got out and hurried over to Jungkook.
"Grab whatever you think we need." Jungkook said as he started looking through the left over pills. There was hardly anything but on the floor, if you looked good enough there would be leftover pills here and there, thankfully. "... You think I should get the suture kit?" Jungkook came up from beside the shelves which scared the living daylights out of Taehyung since he saw him a few feet ago just a minute ago. - wait, suture kit?
"Are you planning on... with Jimin?" Taehyung stood up as Jungkook then cleared his throat and nodded. "It's what he needs," Jungkook explained but Taehyung scoffed. "He'll feel all of it!" Taehyung tried to protest but Jungkook put it in the bag. "You both will thank me later." He mumbled while stuffing the bag with other things they needed. "Okay, so I got the bandages, the pills, the kits. I just need a few more wrap-arounds and-" Jungkook stopped when he saw Taehyung looking at... pads? "... What are you doing?" Jungkook asked since he wasn't sure why Taehyung was doing so. Which made Taehyung look at Jungkook weirdly.
Right so... Taehyung did get his periods. In this world? a certain percentage of men could get their period and what did that also mean? they could get pregnant. It was the shock of the century, until the apocalypse of course. It wasn't as normal but it wasn't totally weird. It was a small percentage really and Taehyung happened to be a part of that percentage. Being born with a uterus but had body parts of a male. It was astonishing how the male body worked, in this world. Jungkook on the other hand was taken back by the sudden information he got from Taehyung. Jungkook surely knew some males could get their period but he never actually knew anybody that did so... shocker? yes.
Not like Taehyung was open about it either. While growing up Taehyung's mother always reminded Taehyung of how special he was but because he was 'special' he was treated differently. People saw through him whenever he mentioned he got his periods. Again, it wasn't as normal and that meant people would look at him like he was... something else is all he can really explain it to be so he never mentioned it to anyone but of course Jimin. Though the reaction he got from Jungkook? he was over it.
"I hope you know just because the world ended, doesn't mean my period did too." Taehyung pulled his bag in front of him and stuffed the pads that he found into the bag. "You get- mm still have those?" Jungkook asked, his eyes widening. "... You're so dumb Jungkook. Genuinely." Taehyung put his bag over his shoulder. "Are we done here?" Taehyung asked Jungkook who cleared his throat, scratched the back of his head and nodded. "I got everything I needed... and so did you I assume?" Jungkook questioned Taehyung who knew it was towards the menstrual pads. "... Yeah." He rolled his eyes and started walking.
Sucking in a breath, Jungkook grabbed his spear and brought it close to him. Taking a quick look outside to see the dead walking towards the back. "We should take a chance on the vehicle." Jungkook looked back at Taehyung. "I mean, if it still starts up." Taehyung looked at Jungkook who nodded and started to jog towards the vehicle. Leaving Taehyung to walk slowly towards the vehicle since he did a lot with her ankle today. "Leave it to the brains." Jungkook rubbed his hands together as he then got to work.
Reaching the car, Taehyung looked around and kept an eye out as Jungkook got the vehicle started. Shocking himself once or twice but at least he got it going right? Whatever, as soon as it started the two got in and were turning around to head back to Jimin. It's been about two? three? hours now that they've been gone and so Taehyung hoped that Jimin was still passed out and safe.
Unlocking the gym office, Jungkook walked into the room to see that Jimin was still asleep. Though he didn't look any better. The boy was burning up and sweating. Although it wasn't hot in the room which meant something wasn't going good. "I'll go find some water." Jungkook walked out of the office once Taehyung entered. "Be careful kook." Taehyung spoke as he let the bag drop to the side and went sit next to Jimin. Checking his temp with the back of his hand. "I'm back." Taehyung whispered to Jimin as he then took off his sweater and put it under Jimin's head to make him more comfortable.
Searching through the bag, Taehyung grabbed out a cloth and sighed once he realized he needed water to dampen the cloth. Speaking of water- it's been such a long few days without water- without food actually. It's just been a daily lifestyle, struggling for food and water that he just got used to not eating anymore. Though his mouth was extremely dry. "The fountains work. I got three water bottles full." Jungkook came back excitedly as he then gave Taehyung the water bottles. "I'll go fill up a few more and we can camp out here for the rest of the night." Jungkook said as he gathered up more empty bottles.
Watching how excited Jungkook was about water made Taehyung excited. Having running water was exciting for sure- it would help them with Jimin for sure but seeing how happy and relieved Jungkook was?... he had to admit it was cute. Now- he could finally relax without worrying about Jimin. Or well- he still needed to worry but less now since he was with Jimin. "Taehyung.." Jimin mumbled out although he was still out like a light. "Shh.. I'm right here Jimin-ah." Taehyung ran his fingers through Jimin's hair just as Jungkook walked into the room. Quietly placing the water bottles down as he then sat against the door after locking it from the inside.
Watching Taehyung attend to Jimin, Jungkook blinked several times. It must be nice huh? Having someone to depend on through this whole mess. Not that Jungkook didn't have anyone when it started but- they were long gone now. Gulping, Jungkook looked at the wall in front of him as he then shut his eyes and decided to rest up for a bit. "Thank you... Jungkook." Taehyung breathed out after keeping in his thank you for quite some while. Not sure if he should thank Jungkook but after what they went through? Jungkook deserved it.
"For everything you did for me, and for Jimin. I appreciate it... and I know Jimin would too." Taehyung smiled at Jungkook who opened his eyes and looked at Taehyung with a small smile as he then nodded. "No problem. It's the least I could do." He then pushed himself up against the door. "Least you could do?" Taehyung questioned with a slight brow raise. "You're gonna make me say it?" Jungkook looked at Taehyung with a slight laugh."Yes because I have no clue what you're saying." Taehyung got comfortable on the mat next to Jimin.
"High school, the letter." Jungkook breathed in while Taehyung froze, averting his eyes to anything else but Jungkook. ".... Yikes, uh... yeah, doesn't ring a bell." Taehyung cleared his throat as Jungkook gave a slight chuckle. "Right. Okay, well, that's my reason... and for bringing you back to my camp. I shouldn't have but... seeing you... it... I don't know. It's just the least I could do." Jungkook pursed his lips and watched Taehyung who kept his eyes on the wall before looking at Jimin. "... Well I meant it. Thank you Jungkook." Taehyung looked at Jungkook with a smile before looking back at Jimin who was sound asleep.
