Have You Considered Just Confessing?

hiiii sorry for being gone so long but I'm not mentally stable lmao

italics are George's thoughts

I finally was able to write this though so that's good at least :3

Previously...

Yeah, I need to get some sleep. I lay my head down on the pillow and pull the sheets and blankets over me, sighing contently. George stirs in his sleep, rolling over and wrapping his arms around one of my arms. It's adorable. I need to sleep.

I push the hair out of George's face, smiling lightly as I fall asleep next to him. I'm so lucky to be in this position.

Dream's P.O.V.

Oh my god. We're cuddling. Dream is cuddling me. In his bed.

I woke up to George's thoughts, practically screaming in my mind. I groaned softly, stirring a little so that George knew I was awake.

Ohhhh shit. Fuck, he's waking up. He's probably going to get up, leave, and pretend this never happened.

I opened my eyes. George appeared to be sleeping, the only reason I knew he was faking it was his thoughts- plus I could feel his heart racing.

I smiled lightly, letting out a soft sigh and pulling George closer.

NO WAY.

George didn't seem to mind. So why not? We could stay like this a little longer.

~

I must've fallen back asleep, because the next thing I'm aware of is Sapnap bursting into the room. He goes quiet for a moment, and I hear the soft click of his phone camera going off.

Shit.

"CANONBALL!" He yells, feet thumping across the floor before he launches up and lands on top of George and I.

"What the hell, man!" I exclaim, scoffing playfully. Sapnap shrugs, obnoxiously tapping on George's shoulder.

Leave me alone... I'm sleepy.

"Oooookay, why don't you go downstairs, I'll get him up," I suggest, fairly certain George was about 10 seconds away from slapping Sapnap.

"Mhm... sure thing, loverboy," he teased, getting off the bed and leaving the room.

Thanks, Dream...

"Alright George, you actually have to get up too." I gently rub his shoulder, trying a more gentle approach than Sapnap did.

"Mmnmn," George grumbled, clearly annoyed. He didn't fight it though, and eventually he was mostly awake.

"Ready to go downstairs?" I ask. George sighs, shaking his head.

"Actually, I'm going to take a shower first. I'll meet you downstairs in a little bit." I nod, watching as George gets up to rifle through his bag.

"I'll make breakfast. Any requests?"

"Umm..." George pauses his search, picking his head up to stare into space behind me. "I don't care. Whatever's good." He waves me off, grabbing a few items from his bag. I chuckle lightly, nodding.

"Alright, I guess that means Sapnap gets to pick..." That seems to get George's attention, because his head shoots up, a look of defiance on his face.

"Fine, fine... eggs?" George suggests. I smile gently, nodding.

"Sure. What kind?" He falters for a moment before responding.

"Sunny side up?"

"Perfect. Enjoy your shower, I'll go cook." George nods, going into the bathroom and closing the door. From downstairs, I hear a soft thump, then a familiar squeaky cat noise.

I chuckle to myself, shaking my head. Patches must've fallen off the back of the couch again. She had a habit of leaning to the side when she napped, and... well, there was nothing keeping her from falling off the couch in her sleep.

I slowly walk downstairs, each step echoing eerily, as if I was in a horror movie. I peek around the corner, half expecting to find a horrifying monster- but when I look, it's just Sapnap sitting at the counter, typing away on his phone.

"Hey man," I greet, stepping into the kitchen. Sapnap looks up, letting out a quick breath.

"Mornin' loverboy, how was sleeping with George?" I cough loudly out of surprise, clearing my throat awkwardly. Sapnap has a smug grin on his face, acting like he knew something I didn't.

"We didn't- I-" I sigh, frustrated. "Shut up, Sap." He hums, looking back at his phone.

"Mhm, sure." I feel my shoulders slump, defeated. "I'm kidding, Dream. But seriously, have you considered just... confessing to him? You already know he feels the same," Sapnap pointed out.

"It's not that easy," I murmur, grabbing some eggs from the fridge. "What kind of eggs do you want? George wants sunny side up."

"I don't care, eggs are eggs," Sapnap replies, waving his hand dismissively. "But what's stopping you from telling him? Like, for real. You and George are literally meant to be."

"I don't know, Sap," I sigh. "It just seems so much more complicated than that."

"How is it complicated? Dream, brother, this is literally the easiest thing ever. You already know he likes you back. What's stopping you from going for it?" He questions. I hesitate for a moment, then turn away to crack the eggs.

"You don't understand."

"Then tell me! What exactly am I not understanding here?" Sapnap throws up his hands in frustration, managing to keep his voice down enough so George wouldn't be able to hear.

"I just... I'm afraid of losing him, okay? You and George are my best friends, and I don't want to lose either of you... especially not because of my stupid feelings."

"Dream." I look back at him, seeing his sympathetic expression. "You're not going to lose anyone, alright? George likes you back. And I'm still your best friend, okay?" Sapnap reassures.

"Yeah. Yeah, I guess you're right. I'm just... nervous," I admit.

"Well, you just so happen to have the best wingman ever!" He exclaims, grinning triumphantly. I smirk, snorting softly.

"And who would that be?" I ask innocently. Sapnap's annoyed expression is worth it.

"You and George will be perfect together," he inferred, shaking his head. "You're both idiots." I turn back around, smiling as I pour the raw eggs into a pan to cook them. Sapnap continues talking, unfazed by my lack of response.

"I'm going to help you, alright? Here's what we're gonna do..."

~

Light footsteps pattered from above, the last of Sapnap's plan being finalized. Breakfast was ready, and Sapnap had already eaten his. I was waiting for George, hoping our eggs wouldn't get too cold.

As the thought left my head, George appeared from behind the corner. His hair was damp, sticking to his forehead just slightly. He wore a powder blue hoodie with black pants, the hoodie looking just a touch too large for him. George's cheeks were a soft pink color, probably from the shower.

Why is he staring at me like that...?

Quickly, I cleared my throat, turning back around to face away from him. Silently, George sat down next to me, awkwardly eating his breakfast.

"This is really good, thanks Dream," he mumbles quietly, his beautiful brown eyes glancing up at me briefly.

"Oh, thank you. No problem," I reply, nodding my head like an idiot. From behind me, I can hear Sapnap sigh.

"So, stream today?" He wonders.

"Yeah, sure. After breakfast we can get everything set up," I suggest, shrugging slightly. "If that's okay?"

"I don't have a problem with it," Sap agrees.

"George?" I turn back toward him, again mesmerized by his post-shower appearance. Sapnap flicks my shoulder lightly, and I drop my gaze.

God, I really need to control myself. Poor George is just trying to eat his breakfast. He doesn't need to be ogled at.

George clears his throat. shrugging. "Yeah, that's fine," he responds, finishing his last bite of egg.

"Great!" Sapnap claps his hands together, grinning toothily. "Let's stream."

we got the mandatory sunny side up reference in there so we good 👍

I'm trying to update things again, I might be working on older books for a bit but I will eventually get this book complete <3
