I take a breath, nodding. It'll be fine, George and Sapnap will get here on Thursday and we'll all have a great time. There's no reason for things to be awkward, we've all known each other for years.
Everything will be just fine.
Dream's P.O.V.
It was Thursday morning, the day that both George and Sapnap were set to arrive in Florida. I yawned, having just woken up. Grabbing my phone, I checked the time– it was still somewhat early, around 10 am.
I went through my notifications, finding a few from both George and Sapnap.
Pandas🐼: just got on my flight, see ya soon

Gogy♡: flight is delayed :(

Gogy♡: okay, getting on my flight soon. I'll text you when we land

I smiled at the messages, knowing that both of them would be here in just a few hours. Sapnap would arrive first, probably around noon. George would get here a bit later, maybe 2 or 3 ish.
All I had to do at this point was pick them both up from the airport. Everything else was set, I had both rooms ready, I had gone grocery shopping, cleaned up, all of it. The only other thing was that the inflatable mattress in one of the rooms hadn't been blown up yet, because Patches had a habit of popping them. I would just get it ready before bed and make sure the door was closed.
"Merrrow?" Patches hopped up onto my bed, standing on my chest and staring into my eyes. I put my phone down, giving her my full attention.
"Hello, pretty baby, is it breakfast time?" I ask, gently petting her behind the ears. Patches purred softly, leaning into my hands happily. I chuckled, slowly starting to sit up.
"If you want food, you need to get off me!" Patches let out another meow, jumping down to the floor and waiting patiently. I finally get out of bed, heading straight to the kitchen to mix together Patches' food. From behind me, I could hear her making excited cat noises, until I set her bowl down in front of her.
"Wow, you're not even going to wait for me?" I say teasingly. Patches picks her head up to look at me, then continues eating. I snort, shaking my head with a smile as I grab myself some breakfast.

It was now a little past 11:30 am, which meant Sapnap would be landing soon. I practically jumped out of my chair, grabbing my phone and keys before shouting a goodbye to Patches and running out the door. I was so excited to see him, we had met in person before but he was still one of my best friends, and I wanted to see him.
The drive to the airport was fine, only a little bit of traffic. I grabbed my phone, realizing he had texted me while I was driving.

I quickly responded, telling him I was waiting in the pickup area. He sent a thumbs up in response, followed by a middle finger emoji. A few minutes later I spotted him, dragging his suitcase along. I got out of my car, standing up and waving to him.
"What's good, brother?" Sapnap asks, approaching the trunk of my car to throw his suitcase in. We then both sit down, Sapnap gives me a fistbump, and then we start driving.
"It's good to see you again, man," I say, smiling. From the passenger seat, he nods, smiling.
"You too, Dream. Not gonna lie, I missed you."
"I missed you too, Sap," I respond, smiling. He yawns, and I glance over quickly. "If you're tired, go ahead and take a nap, I'll wake you when we get there."
"Thanks, dude. I got up super early because I forgot to pack my suitcase," Sapnap explains. He yawns again, closing his eyes and leaning against the car window. The rest of the drive is silent, because I don't want to wake him up.
We eventually arrive back at my house, and I shake his shoulder a little. Sapnap inhales sharply, rubbing his eyes.
"Huh?"
"We're here!" He wakes up quickly, nodding and getting out of the car to grab his bags. I unlock the door to my house, letting Sapnap in. Patches is there, ready to greet us.
"Aw, hey there Patches," he cooed, setting his bags in the front hallway. Sapnap leaned down to pet her, earning a happy purr in response.
"Seems like she remembers you," I comment, smiling. Sapnap snorts playfully, nodding.
"Yeah." He stretches, standing up. "So, same room as last time?"
"Well, I was thinking you and George could decide together. There's the room you stayed in last time, and then the other room has a blow up mattress in it," I explain.
"Well, I'm here first, so I get first pick!" Sapnap grabs his bags, running up the stairs and claiming the room with the bed.
"George isn't going to like this!" I call up at him, smiling and shaking my head.
"Too bad, lover boy! You snooze you lose!" Sapnap yells back. I scoff lightly.
"I'm not a 'lover boy'!" Footsteps echo, getting closer, until I see Sapnap at the top of the stairs, walking back down.
"Uh huh, yeah. We'll just see what happens when George gets here."
"Whatever," I roll my eyes, chuckling. "Wanna watch a movie?"
~
Sapnap and I were sitting on the couch, watching a movie. Well, I was watching the movie. Sapnap was sprawled out, fast asleep.
I turned the TV off, going on my phone. It was nearly 2:30 pm, and I still hadn't gotten a text from George. He should be landing soon...
"Sapnap?" I shake his shoulder a bit, trying to get his attention.
"Hmm?"
"I'm going to go to the airport to wait for George, do you want to come too?" I offer. Sapnap just closes his eyes, falling back against the arm of the couch.
"Go ahead, I'll see him later... or tomorrow." He waves his arm, encouraging me to go.
"Alright... bye." I grab my keys again, finding Patches waiting on the bottom step of the stairs. I give her some pets, kissing the top of her head.
"I'm gonna go pick up George, keep Sapnap company, okay?" She meows in response. "Bye Patches!"
~
For the second time today, I'm at the airport. George still hasn't texted me, so I assume he's still on the plane. Well, if there's time, I might as well go in and grab a snack.
I park my car in one of the lots, strolling through the airport area until I made it to the actual building. I was waiting in line at a McDonald's when my phone chimed, meaning George texted me.
Gogy♡: we just landed, i dont know where to go
sent 2:58 pm
I stepped out of the McDonald's line, walking away and calling George.
"Dream!"
"Hi George, where are you right now?" I ask. There was a moment of hesitation before he answered.
"Um, terminal B24? I still need my luggage..."
"Alright, there should be signs, just find the one the says 'baggage claim' and follow them."
"Dream, I'm not stupid..." George scoffs. "I've just never really been alone in an airport for so long, it's honestly unsettling." I snort, nodding even though he can't see me.
"Yeah, but I'll be there soon, you just need to grab your stuff and I'll meet you somewhere," I remind.
"Right. Stay on the line, I just need to grab my stuff quickly." George goes silent, and I walk towards the baggage claim, planning on finding him when he comes out.
"Dream?"
"I'm here. I'm waiting outside the baggage claim, actually." On the other end of the line, I hear George inhale sharply.
"Oh." He walks out of the baggage claim, looking like a lost puppy. I smile, but there are so many people around that he surely wouldn't notice.
"You look lost," I comment, watching as he glances around. We were still a good distance apart, plus he didn't know what I look like. His brow furrows, and I can't help but laugh.
"Shut up, where are you? How am I supposed to know...?" George trails off, starting to walk through the crowded area. As he gets closer, I can hear a faint voice in my head, throwing me way off.
Where is he? This is stupid, I don't even know what he looks like. I'm so uncomfortable with all these people around...
It was George.
I tried to hide my surprise, but I really hadn't expected this. I knew a lot of people shipped us together, mostly fans. But George actually liking me...?
I hadn't really considered it much before, surprisingly enough. I knew we flirted all the time, but it was all jokes, right?
Wasn't it...?
"Dream, I don't know which person is you," George huffed, bringing my thoughts back to the forefront.
"Look left." I watch as George's head whips over his left shoulder, eyes scanning until they landed on me.
"Dream?" He asked.
"Yep." He grinned, doing a weird run toward me. George lets go of his luggage about three feet in front of me, just staring up at me. I could hear his thoughts, which were running wild.
Holy shit, he's tall. And hot. This is so weird. He's not saying anything. Should I say something? Do I hug him? Would that be weird?
I grin, stepping forward with my arms out to engulf George in a hug. He feels stiff for a moment, then melts into the embrace.
He's hugging me! This is good, I like this. Oh, he smells like oranges, that's nice.
"Thank you for coming to Florida, George. I'm really happy to have you here," I admit, pulling away from the hug. George nods, kicking his foot awkwardly.
"Sure... but can we go? I don't want to spend another second in an airport," he groans.
"Sure, grab your things and follow me, I'm parked in one of the further lots."
~
We had made it to my car and were now driving home, George looked exhausted as he stared out the window. His thoughts were pretty much nonexistent, so I figured he was zoned out.
We hit a slight bump in the road, which seemed to startle George. He turned away from the window, looking up at me.
"What's the rooming situation like?" He asked out of the blue.
"Oh, well Sapnap already chose his room–" I paused mid sentence, hearing George's thoughts.
I wonder if he has enough rooms. I wouldn't mind sharing with him. Sapnap would tease us so much about it, though.
"Dream?"
"Uh, sorry. Sapnap already took the guest room, so you can either share my bed with me or one of us can sleep on the couch," I answer carefully, hoping this would end well. George nodded slowly, looking away.
YES HOLY SHIT
"Oh, I guess we could... share? If that's okay."
"I wouldn't have offered if it wasn't," I smile, watching as a shy smile spread across George's lips. We pulled into the driveway, George looking at my house with an astounded expression.
Woah.
"You live here?" He asked incredulously. I nod, chuckling lightly. My house wasn't like a mansion or anything, but it definitely wasn't small.
"I do. And for the next couple weeks, so do you."
"...That was so cheesy‐"
"I know!" I laugh, shaking my head and getting out of the car. "C'mon, idiot, go grab your stuff and I'll show you around."
~
"-and this is my room. You can just set your stuff on the floor here, it's all clean." George nods, glancing around the room with an unreadable expression.
We're going to share the bed. Dream and I, in the same bed. The shippers would lose their minds. I'm losing my mind.
"Sapnap is downstairs on the couch, by the way. He's been passed out for like, two hours now!" I exclaim, shaking my head. George looks at me for a second, then smirks and runs to the stairs.
"Oh Saaaaappppnaaaapppppp!" He yells. I chuckled, hearing a "oof" from downstairs. While both of them are distracted, I go into the room George was supposed to stay in, quickly folding up the inflatable mattress and storing it in the closet.
This is totally normal, right? Nothing wrong with wanting to share a bed with your best friend. Who has a crush on you. Who you might like back. It's normal.
Once that's taken care of, I head downstairs to see George and Sapnap talking, Sapnap looking slightly annoyed but happy at the same time.
"Hey guys, what're you talking about?" I ask, joining the conversation. George giggles, covering his mouth with his hand.
"Shut up," Sapnap says sternly, shaking his head.
"Sapnap was snoring!" George giggled, getting a friendly punch on the arm from Sapnap.
"Really? He wasn't snoring earlier," I comment, raising my eyebrows. George nods excitedly, grinning.
"He was," he insists.
"Dream, don't listen to that liar!" Sapnap exclaims, crossing his arms. Although he's trying to look annoyed, I can see the hint of a smile on his face.
"Hmm..." I pretend to think about it, stroking my chin. "Sorry, George. I need to see it to believe it."
"Yes!"
"Dream..."
He was definitely snoring. There's no way I'm wrong.
"Cool, Imma grab a snack and go chill upstairs, I'm still tired. Don't like, fuck each other or anything while I'm sleeping." Sapnap left, leaving George and I alone. George's cheeks are a flustered shade of pink, shoulders and neck slightly scrunched.
"Ignore him. Wanna do anything?" I question. George shrugs, shaking his head.
"I like Sapnap's idea," he murmured. I nearly choked on my own spit, eyes bugging out of my head.
"What-"
"Nonono, I meant his idea of a snack and a nap!" George corrects quickly, flushing a dark red.
Did he think I meant-
"Uh, okay... here, what do you want? Anything you like, you can have," I offer awkwardly, trying my best to tune out George's thoughts.
"Actually, I think I might just go to bed, nevermind." Oh, I hope I didn't make him uncomfortable. "Thank you though, see you later." George waves goodbye, heading up to my– our– room.
It'll all be fine, they're both just exhausted from traveling. Tomorrow will be better.
I'm tired but I physically can't fall asleep
I also haven't done my school work from weeks ago yet
