After Shelly and Brightney arrived on the first floor, they split up. Brightney went to extract machines while Shelly hid from a Twisted Bobette, contemplating her next move.

Shelly: 'How am I gonna eat a Twisted without Brightney noticing?'

Then she noticed that the Twisted bauble sensed an item being picked up, then promptly went over to where the item was collected.

Shelly: 'She got Twisted Bobette's attention, now's my chance!'

Now that she's in the clear, Shelly goes over to where a Twisted Boxten was and digs in, consuming the Twisted music box like a ravenous animal. Meanwhile, with Brightney, she starts to wonder why Shelly hasn't come to give her an extraction boost yet.

Brightney: 'Where is that ammonite? She hasn't been giving me any extraction boosts ONCE.'

The lamp Toon's thoughts were interrupted by a certain Twisted Holiday Main staring down at her, Brightney ran for it as Twisted Bobette gave chase.

Brightney: What awful timing!

Brightney turns a corner and hides behind a large crate, Twisted Bobette looks around but doesn't see her, nor does she notice the light coming from behind the crate. The Twisted bauble leaves, so Brightney is safe (for now).

Brightney: Phew, that was close. I almost lost a heart there.

Suddenly, Brightney hears the sound of crunching. She walks over to where she hears the noise and finds a bunch of Ichor splattered about, this disgusts her.

Brightney: 'Is that Ichor?! I think I'm gonna be sick...'

Brightney proceeds to the source of the crunching, where she stumbled upon a horrific sight. It was Shelly, hunched over Twisted Boxten's corpse, constantly shoving handfuls of meat into her mouth. Shelly then noticed the bright light shining from afar, so the ammonite Toon turned towards it to see Brightney standing there.

Shelly: Oh, Brightney! I didn't expect you to come looking for me.

Brightney: Shelly, what did you do?

Shelly gets up from her hunching position, staring Brightney down.

Shelly: Let's just say, I had a quick snack.

Brightney: A quick snack?! You just ate a Twisted!

Shelly: Oh relax, it's not that big a deal.

Brightney: Yes it is, it's the exact opposite of sanitary to just eat a Twisted!

Shelly: Like I care.

Brightney: Well, can you at least tell me why you decided to start eating Twisteds?

Shelly: Oh, okay! I'll tell you everything. So, I was doing a solo run earlier. I was just extracting machines when my stomach screamed for food, turns out I skipped breakfast beforehand. I had to hide when my stomach growled to avoid getting mauled by Twisteds while extracting machines, all while getting the job done of course! After I completed all the machines, I made my way to the elevator. I would've gotten out unscathed if a blasted Twisted Goob hadn't decided to surprise hug me! I panicked and bit his arm as a last-ditch resort to escape, but the taste of his flesh called to me. I devoured the Twisted fluffy craft and got in the elevator at the last second, but I just couldn't stop drooling at the flavor! I wanted more of it and I didn't wanna stop, even just looking at you is making me salivate! What's even going on with me anymore?!

Brightney then gives Shelly a disapproving look.

Brightney: Shelly, what you're doing is not okay.

The lamp Toon then finishes the machine right next to her (it's the last one), and grabs Shelly by the arm.

Brightney: I'm taking you to the rehabilitation room so you can think about what you've done!

Shelly: Brightney, let me GO!

Brightney: No! Your new bad habit must be curbed.

Shelly then bites Brightney's arm, drawing Ichor from the lamp Toon. Shelly was able to taste the Ichor, and she wondered what a conscious and living Toon like Brightney instead of a mindless Twisted would taste like. Shelly bit down harder and pulled, tearing off a chunk of Brightney's arm. The fossil expert would then come to realize that toons were MUCH more delectable than Twisteds. Shelly growled and got into a feral position, Brightney shakingly backed away until her back hit the wall. She let out a scream of pure terror as Shelly lunged at her with a roar, the noise died down as multiple loud crunches drowned it out.

Shelly: Mmm, now that hit the spot!

Shelly started making her way to the elevator, but got spotted by Twisted Bobette not long after, she ran for it, but the Twisted bauble was faster. Shelly then felt an idea hit her head, she got down on all fours and started running quadruped style. Shelly noticed that it made her faster than just running on two feet like any other Toon who isn't Connie, Flutter, Pebble, or Coal, she quickly outsped Twisted Bobette and made it into the elevator. Once inside, Shelly began licking the Ichor off her fingers. Dandy emerges from his shop.

Dandy: Howdy, hey! Wanna buy some i-

Dandy notices Shelly licking Ichor off her hands, instantly realizing that she'd eaten someone. When Shelly turned to face him, he immediately pulled the lever to close his shop, then the elevator started to go back up to the lobby.

Dandy: Nope, still nope, nope-ity-nope-nope, land of 10,000 nopes!

Once the hatch closed, Shelly started to wonder why even Dandy got scared. She dismissed the thought for a new one, what was she going to eat once there was nothing left TO eat? Then Shelly remembered that Toons always respawn when they die, and with no recollection of how it happened, which means an endless food supply for her.

Shelly: 'Oh, I can't wait to start eating again!'

Shelly drools in excitement as she anticipates her next meal.
