Home Routine
They found a little place on the outskirts of the town where they made their home. Now that Taylor knew where he stood with Horror, they would be sharing the master bedroom and make the bedroom he had intended upon designating to himself as the guest bedroom. There was the living room, which was sparsely furnished compared to the kitchen, which was stocked to the brim with all the herbs and spices Horror could have ever wanted. There was a dining room, an office space, a four seasons room, and two bathrooms in the house. It had bountiful space for Taylor and Horror to get to know each other better as boyfriends and lovers away from everyone else. Taylor was happy. As was Horror. "i win." Horror put down his last two blue cards, and Taylor chuckled. "I'm pretty sure this isn't how uno works, babe." He told Horror as he gathered the deck to shuffle. "ya said, i gotta but down the matching color or number." Horror pointed out. "Well, yes- I did say that, didn't I? I meant only one card, though -" Horror took a minute to process. "well... i guess i made a new game, then." Taylor laughed and nodded. "Yeah, you did!"

When they weren't playing board games, Taylor would get to his office to plan out his new clinic while Horror cooked. Sometimes, it was lunch or dinner. Sometimes, it was recipes for the dinner he hoped to own. Taylor was glad that they both had aspirations to obtain. Things to do to fill their time. All they were waiting on was for everyone else to settle so that they could get buildings chosen out and decorated to their intended tasks. Horror came in with a new dish, no doubtly for his diner. "hungry?" Horror asked, and Taylor made grabby hands for it. For your cooking, always, Bones!" Horror placed the plate on Taylor's desk with a small smile. "tell me how you like it... what i can improve upon." The meal itself looked like a steak with a rich looking sauce on it and mashed potatoes and gravy on the side. Taylor already knew Horror's potatoes were amazing, so he cut into the steak and dipped it before taking a bite. He hummed at the flavor as he savored the piece before inputting, "This is amazing - though it needs a little more barbecue." Horror chuckled and nodded, leaving Taylor to finish.

The nights were the best. Taylor would read out loud to Horror as the big skeleton curled around his boyfriend, just listening until one of the two fell asleep. Usually, it was Taylor, but Horror never minded marking where he was at and turning out the lights for the night. Sometimes, they listened to the noises outside instead, enjoying the peace that seemed to come from the AU. Sometimes, they had a little fun in the form of toothpaste and water battles or a calm make-out session. Most of the time, though, it was the peaceful reading, with Horror's quiet, rumbling purr wrapping around Taylor like the sweet embrace he was usually held in. "Goodnight, Bones..." Taylor mumbled sleepily as the words started to swim on the page. Horror took the book from him and marked the page before setting it on the nightstand. "goodnight, my doctor... i love you..." Taylor smiled a sleepy smile and snuggled closer as the light was turned off. "I love you too...." Horror held him all the closer as he let the night take them away to the land of dreams where they would be protected.
