Beep

Taylor was a charismatic man. He was humorous, his coworkers loved him, his patients loved him. When monsters came to the surface, he greeted them with open arms. It was the same when he got a new patient today. "his name is horror, a human eater. the ones who brought him here wanted us to treat him first before they take him off to prison. i really don't want to be the one to put you in danger, but you are the only doctor left with an open slot, taylor... you shouldn't have to worry about him trying to attack you, his arms and legs are restrained-"
"Dr. Sans, you don't have to worry about me. I can handle anyone!" Taylor wasn't phased in the slightest, at least not as far as Sans could tell. Internally though, Taylor was nervous. What human wouldn't be about a monster that ate humans. He wasn't going to judge though. Not tell he met the guy, learned his story. "Take me to my patient!" Sans looked genuinely nervous, but led Taylor to the room where Horror was being held, far from the other patients within the hospital. Taylor knocked and opened up. "Welcome to Ebbot Hospital, I'm your doctor, Dr. Taylor Hepner!"

Beep beep beep. He was met with silence, which he was more than ok with as a red eye stared at Taylor with a predatory gaze. He gulped and took in the rest of the skeleton's appearance. Most concerning to Taylor was the gaping hole in his skull above his red gaze. The other socket held no light whatsoever, Taylor knew that he was blind in that socket. He was thick boned, but they looked brittle, bleached a shade of white that they shouldn't have been. It was unnatural. Having learned skeleton anatomy from Dr. Sans, he knew something was wrong. Some sort of sickness? "Let's start with the basics, hm?" Horror merely watched as Taylor approached him with slight hesitation. He could sense his fear. Why was the human sticking around? "Can I listen to your soul, Horror?" Beep beep beep. The silence was still loud. Horror finally released his stare from Taylor, looking the other way. He made one single gesture, a nod. Taylor put on his stethoscope, nervously pressed it to Horror's chest to listen. Now he knew there was something wrong. Horror's soulbeat was weak and sluggish.

Taylor continued the baseline checkup. His eyelight was dull, his reflexes poor, his mouth was dry, with no sign of magic at all. Horror was fatigued despite appearances. Taylor was almost certain he knew what he was dealing with and he knew that he had to do something fast. "I'm going to run an IV, ok? It should help you feel better. Try and get some rest too, huh?" Beep beep beep. "It's for your health... I will be inserting the IV into your arm, then I'm gonna get you something from the cafeteria." Horror's skull snapped around to stare at Taylor. "Horror, buddy, I'm not gonna let you starve anymore. I don't know why, I don't know your story, and you don't seem keen on telling me. You don't have to. At least not now." He pulled out a bag of magic and set up the IV. Horror just watched, never putting up a fight. Never moving to harm Taylor. The toffee haired doc smiled a little. Horror didn't seem so bad. It was only day one though. He got up. "I'll get you something to eat now. I'll be back, ok bones?" Finally, the silence was broken. "ok doc..."
