Reflect carries the sparklings into the rec room, gently sitting them on the floor. Echo and Remix giggle happily, sitting up on their own was something they'd managed to do weeks ago.

"okay you two. its about time you guys started getting around on your own." Reflect murmurs, chuckling at them. the sparklings turned 2 months old today and Reflect is ready to let his tiny little sparklings grow up, just a little. he sits down on the ground and watches his sparklings.

"you finally letting them learn how to crawl?" Bumblebee chirps, walking over with a grin.

"well, we've been trying for a while. for about 2 weeks. we've been encouraging them but I wasn't worried about it until the other day. I over heard Ironhide talking to Ratchet about it, they both seemed a little worried. I didn't realize sparklings were supposed to be crawling by now, I feel like I'm letting them down." Reflect mutters. "Ironhide was worried and Ratchet said they'd figure it out if they were on the floor more, so I'm leaving them on the floor, though he did say Echo could take longer because she's blind." Reflect frowns. Bumblebee nods, sitting the floor. he crosses his legs and grins, pulling Sam off his shoulder.

"don't let them fall on you." Bumblebee murmurs, gently placing Sam on his knee. Bumblebee ruffles Sams hair gently.

"I won't. being crushed is not what I want." Sam snorts. Reflect chuckles. "hey, Echo's optics are... pink." Sam says looking confused. Reflect huffs annoyed.

"yeah. so these allow her to see soundwaves and when she gets too close to the wall, she can see an outline of the walls and doorways in pink." Reflect says.

"how do you know?" Sam asks curiously.

"Wheeljack makes Ratchet put these in him. then Wheeljack walks around with them in for three days until he decides they work and are in fact, safe for my sparkling. he put them in yesterday." Reflect says. Sam nods. "oh!" Reflect grins, leaning forward. Remix has gotten on his servos and knees, squealing happily.

"oh look at that." Sam smiles.

"you okay Reflect?" Bumblebee asks. Reflect looks away for a moment, then, turns to Bumblebee.

"this is the first kid I've gotten to see crawl. I was there for Annies first steps but Ironhide and I were in another country when she started crawling." Reflect murmurs. Bumblebee nods a little, smiling slightly.

you better get to the rec room, I think Remix is gonna start crawling.

Ironhide doesn't answer, but does appear in the doorway of the rec room barely two minutes later. he walks over to them and sits beside Reflect.

"I remember sparkling watching when Bumblebee was a sparkling." Ironhide snorts. Bumblebee grins, doorwings fluttering in amusement. "alright little one, come on you can do it." Ironhide murmurs. Remix giggles rocking back and forth on his servos and knees. he rocks forward a bit too hard and lands on his face with a wail.

"oh that didn't hurt. Jazz dropped you three days ago and you laughed it off." Reflect huffs, putting the sparkling back onto his servos and knees.

"Jazz dropped him?" Sam ask, confused.

"yeah." Reflect glares.

"that would be why you haven't seen him. he's in the medbay. Reflect managed to shove 3 of Jazz' fingers down Jazz' intake asfter ripping them from his servo, before Optimus and Ratchet managed to pry him off." Ironhide snorts.

"where were you when this happened?" Sam asks, confused.

"picking Remix up off the floor, along with Optimus' friggin' jaw. he was shocked." Ironhide smirks, patting Remix' head gently. the sparkling chirps and sits back on his aft. he reaches up and grabs hold of Ironhides finger, pulling his creators servo off his head with a chastising click.

"he told you." Bumblebee snorts softly.

the four go quiet for several minutes while watching the sparklings.

"wouldn't it be absolutely epic for one of them to just stand up and walk off?" Sam snorts. Ironhide winces and shakes his head.

"NO, IT MOST CERTAINLY WOULD NOT! DO NOT TALK ABOUT MY SPARKLINGS GROWING UP LIKE THAT!" Reflect snaps. Sam flinches back, cuddling backwards into Bumblebee's armor immediately. the Scout immediately covers the man with his servo.

"okay Reflect. it was just a joke. its alright." Ironhide assures gently. Barricade walks over, curious. Frenzy is sitting on his shoulder. both ex-Cons were semi adjusting to the Autobot base.

"what the fuck are you doing?" Frenzy huffs.

"trying to get the sparklings to crawl, Remix is almost there." Reflect says.

"what about Echo?" Barricade ask. Reflect shakes his head. Echo is laying happily on her back watching the new soundwaves float around.

"she'll take longer." Ironhide mutters.

"well, if she's not crawling, can I steal her?" Barricade ask.

"yeah sure, but if she crawls and we don't get to witness it, I will headbutt you so hard you'll hit Cybertron." Reflect warns. Barricade shrugs, scooping up the little femme.

"alright." he agrees, wondering off with her.

"you don't want to know why he wants her?" Sam asks hesitantly.

"nah. she's happy with him." Reflect shrugs slightly, watching Remix. "she'd rather be with him than us. they go sit outside in the sun. he doesn't talk to her, so she gets a break from seeing soundwaves." Reflect adds. Sam nods slightly, turning his attention back to Remix, who chirps quietly, still rocking back and forth on his servos and knees.

"it gives her a break so we let him take her." Ironhide shrugs.

"a break?" Sam asks.

"well, they're a little older now that talk a little more and apparently, according to Wheeljack, she can see all the soundwaves of her brother babling, so it gives her a break to go outside. Wheeljack didn't program her optics to register sounds of the wind, human vehicles, animals, or anything like that. now she can see humans talking but Barricade takes her and they sit away from the humans. so, its alright. she goes outside with him for a bit and one days when its raining or Barricade doesn't want to take her, she shuts her optics off for a while. she just needs a break from the overwhelming soundwaves." Reflect assures. Sam nods slightly.

"um, is there some kind of meeting I didn't get notice for?" Optimus asks, walking over.

"we're attempting to encourage Remix to crawl." Ironhide says, watching his sparkling carefully. Optimus crouches down, watching in amusement.

"I see." he chuckles.

"he's not going to do it for us." Reflect frowns. he watches his sparkling a moment before smirking.

"hey, grab your brother and come to the wreck room."

"huh? why?"

"you'll see when you get here."

"Sunny is painting. you know he doesn't like-"

"he'll like this. it has to do with the sparklings."

"fine, we'll be there shortly."

Reflect nudges his sparkling gently.

"come on squirt, you can do it." Reflect says. Remix chirps and twitters, sitting back on his aft and turning to look at his carrier. "you two scoot over, I called for back up." Reflect says, looking at Sam and Bumblebee. the scout nods, scooting over to make room.

"back up?" Ironhide asks, curiously.

"oh yeah." Reflect grins. its quiet for a few minutes before Sunstreaker and Sidesipe enter the rec room, heading straight for them. "look Remix, is your favorite bots on the planet, go get'em." Reflect grins, nudging the sparkling.

"what in the pits are you doing?" Sunstreaker huffs. Remix looks over and chirps happily.

"you two sit right there. we're trying to get him to crawl, and there's no one in the universe he loves as much as you two." Reflect grins.

"us? nah, you mean Sunny. he doesn't like me at all." Sideswipe snorts. Sunstreaker shrugs and crouches down.

"come here." Sunstreaker murmurs, reaching for the sparkling. Remix chirps happily, reaching back.

"you gotta go to him squirt." Ironhide chuckles softly. Remix whines reaching for the bright yellow twin with a pout. he whines again, making grabby motions towards the yellow twin.

"well, c'mere little one." Sunstreaker grins, plopping himself onto the ground. he folds his legs up and reaches towards the sparkling. Remix pouts, looking down as he rocks on his servos and knees. he glances back over to Reflect chirping.

"come on buddy.we've been through this. you know how to crawl." Reflect assures.

"what the fuck are you lot doing?" Ratchet frowns, walking over to the. "why are you all on the floor, circled around a sparkling?" Ratchet adds.

"trying to get him to crawl." Ironhide mutters. Remix looks up at Ratchet and squeals, practically launching himself at Ratchet. he's not very fast, but he does managed to get to the medic as quickly as he can. Reflect immediately shoots to his feet, cheering as loud as he can.

"yeah! Remix! you did it! my baby is mobile!" Reflect cheers. Ratchet snorts and scoops up the little sparkling when he runs head first into his leg.

"Primus don't start headbutting things." Ratchet snorts, cuddling Remix. Ratchets amused at Reflect, not even attempting to hold back on his excitement, and Ironhide who, for once, looks ready to literally jump for joy.

"yeah! mobile sparkling!" Ironhide smirks, getting up from the floor.

"congrats!" Bumblebee chuckles. Optimus sighs looking at the sparkling.

"this is a joyous occasion, but, we now have a mobile sparkling on the base again. one who is related to Reflect. lets not forget how much trouble he caused." Optimus frowns.

"hey I did what I had to do to survive." Reflect smirks at him. he wants to take his sparkling and cuddle him in his excitement, but he knows Remix crawled to Ratchet. he would leave the sparkling with his chosen bot.

"aww look at him. cute little slagger is gonna be in serious trouble in no time." Sideswipe grins. Sunstreaker snorts and smiles at the sparkling. Remix is squealing, giggling, and chirping excitedly in the medics arm. Ratchet chuckles, carrying the sparkling away to get himself a cube. he comes back over to the others, most of which are still cheering,

"okay okay, you take him. I've got to get back to the medbay." Ratchet chuckles, passing Remix back over to Reflect.

"thats Ratchet." Reflect grins at him. he waits for the medic to leave, before putting the sparkling back on the floor. Remix chirps and makes his way over to Sunstreaker, giggling.

"hey buddy." Sunstreaker murmurs, scooping the sparkling up and chuckling. Remix squeals, nuzzling up to the yellow twin happily. he giggles as Sunstreaker gets up out of the floor. "well, give him a few days and he'll be as fast as Reflect was." Sunstreaker smirks.

"I hope the fuck not." Ironhide snorts. Remix giggles at his creator. Reflect reaches over and gently caresses Remix' cheek.

"now we just need you to come back Echo walk." Reflect grins, watching Ratchet.

"Echo would never crawl for me, now Wheeljack on the other hand..." Ratchet snorts. Reflect laughs slightly.

"thats true." Reflect smiles.

"but don't worry about her crawling, we'll work on it. alright? Wheeljack is going to make something for her." Ratchet says, heading out of the rec room. Reflect watches after him confused, before snatching his sparkling. he grins at Remix.

"you did it cutie!" Reflect smiles. Remix giggles happily, cuddling up to him. he chirps happily, cuddling up under his chin, little engine purring. they all pause hearing a loud crack of thunder outside.

"fuck!" Barricade growls, running inside quickly. he's carefully shielding a screaming Echo in his arm.

"Hide go get her, she's about to have a fit." Reflect snorts. Ironhide chuckles and heads after their sparkling.

"come here sweet spark." Ironhide murmurs, taking the sparkling gently. Echo screams at him. "I know you're wet and its wet outside and you don't like it." Ironhide chuckles.

"go get her dried off and get her a cube." Reflect says. Ironhide nods, carrying the sparkling off. Remix chirps and whines after his twin. "she's alright. I promise. she's just cold and wet." Reflect assures. Remix whines quietly and Reflect chuckles softly. "she'll be alright." Reflect assures gently. Reflect cuddles his sparkling gently, kissing his head. he puts the sparkling down gently.

"if one of you bastards steps on my son while he's crawling across the floor, I swear. the entire base will feel my wrath!"

Reflect warns on a mass com. he hears a couple of chuckles from mechs in the room, but he receives an affirmative from every bot on base. Reflect nods and heads after the sparkling. he's not crawling very fast, but he knows where their room is. he's heading straight for it.

"baby, creator and Echo aren't in there." Reflect murmurs, smiling. Remix babbles quietly, but doesn't stop. "no kid, they're not in there. they're in the washracks." Reflect assures. "you're not going to find them in there." Reflect snorts, watching his sparkling stop at the door of his and Ironhides room. Remix screams, smacking the door, before glaring at his carrier. "oh yeah. I deserve this." Reflect sighs slightly, before opening the door. Remix crawls into the room.

whats wrong? you alright?

I'm fine. just really regretting that the Primes made me a brat as a sparkling. I wish I would've had control.

I'm glad you didn't. you probably would've hid in a vent and waited for everyone to panic.

nope.

Remix whines quietly.

"baby, they aren't in here right now." Reflect says softly, crouching down to look at his sparkling. Remix whimpers. "I know but they're just down the hall. creator has to go dry your sister off. she didn't like the cold rain." Reflect explains. Remix immediately bursts into sobs, so Reflect scoops him up carefully. "I know. I know. life is terrible if you're can't see your sister." Reflect murmurs softly, nuzzling his cheek gently. he kisses the little sparklings head and cradles him gently.

"I can hear him wailing all the way in the washracks." Ironhide frowns entering the room. Remix sniffles, looking up at Ironhide.

"he's alright. he just wants you and Echo." Reflect assures. Remix whimpers reaching out. Ironhide moves to take him, but Remix immediately screams at him.

"easy, easy. alright. you don't want me thats okay." Ironhide soothes, rubbing the sparklings head gently. "I get it. you want your sister." Ironhide murmurs, holding Echo out gently. Remix whines reaching for his sister with a sniffle.

"its probably time they had a nap anyway." Reflect murmurs, taking Echo gently. Remix immediately grabs onto his twin sniffling. "easy, easy. don't hurt your sister Remix." Reflect soothes, carrying the sparklings back to their own room. he lays them in their shared berth, before locking their door open, and heading back over to Ironhide.

Ironhide has laid back on their berth, optics off and servos behind his head. the war torn mech is relaxing happily. Reflect grins and jumps up onto the berth, laying himself over his bondmate. he drops his head carefully on Ironhides chest, sighing happily. Ironhide shifts immediately, wrapping his arms tightly around his bondmate.

"hi baby." Ironhide mutters.

"hi." Reflect smiles, cuddling up to him.

"comfy?" Ironhide snorts.

"mmhmmm. very much so." Reflect grins. Ironhide rolls his optics and smiles pulling him closer. "I could use a nap too." Reflect mumbles.

"get some rest. that sparklings will cry when they're ready to get up." Ironhide murmurs.

"did you lock our door?" Reflect asks.

"yes Reflect. the door is locked I promise. the door is locked, the vent is blocked alright? we are fully prepared for crawling sparklings, alright? its okay. don't panic." Ironhide murmurs.

"I can't help it. all the stuff I crawled into and there was still not an accident worse than the time Sarah left the baby gate open after Annie started crawling and she fell down the stairs." Reflect mumbles quietly. Ironhide nods, kissing his head gently, rubbing his back carefully.

"I know, I remember rushing her to the hospital with you and Sarah. Echo and Remix will be alright, I promise. its okay." Ironhide assures gently. "besides, they're your sparkling. you jumped headfirst-" Ironhdie starts.

"I fell headfirst!" Reflect protests.

"you jumped headfirst out of your berth and nearly gave Ratchet a spark attack." Ironhide huffs.

"I fucking fell you ass." Reflect grumbles.

"so you claim." Ironhide snorts. Reflect lifts his head to pout at his bondmate. Ironhide just laughs, hugging him tightly. "okay, okay. I'm sorry. I love you." Ironhide murmurs, chuckling softly, kissing the top of his head. "why don't you take a nap?" Ironhide asks.

"I'm working on it." Reflect mumbles. Ironhide chuckles softly, holding his bondmate.

Reflect shifts slowly, grumbling. there's a small servo patting his face. he onlines his optics in confusion.

"Remix?" Reflect mumbles. he shifts and pauses, looking around. Ironhide is gone. he must've put the sparkling up on the berth. "hey baby boy." Reflect smiles, sitting up. he scoops the sparkling up and nuzzles him gently. he gets up off the berth, grabbing his son a cube, before heading to the rec room to get one of his own.

hey Hide, do you have Echo?

no she's with Barricade.

alright. why'd you leave Remix?

he was still in recharge, so were you. she was whining.

oh, alright, love you.

love you too.

Reflect hums happily as he heads for the rec room, smiling. he pauses almost immediately as he walks in.

"Barricade?" Reflect asks, confused. Barricade looks up at him, sipping his cube.

"what?" Barricade asks.

"where's Echo?" Reflect asks, confused. Barricade immediately looks just as confused.

"what the hell are you talking about Reflect?" Barricade asks.

"uh, Ironhide said you had Echo...?" Reflect says, hesitantly. Barricade shakes his head.

"I haven't seen her since it rained on us." Barricade mutters. Reflect stares at him a moment, before whipping around to go find Ironhide. he immediately almost slams into Ironhide, who winces.

"you lied to me." Reflect says.

"yeah." Ironhide mutters.

"where is she?" Reflect ask.

"well-" Ironhide starts.

"where is my sparkling Ironhide?" Reflect snaps. Ironhide goes quiet a moment, silently attempting to plan a way out.

"I'm not... sure." Ironhide finally says. Reflect stares at him a moment.

"YOU LOST MY SPARKLING!?" Reflect screams. Ironhide winces at his bondmates pitch.

"I woke up and she was gone! she went through the vent!" Ironhide huffs.

"YOU TOLD ME THAT FUCKING VENT WAS BLOCKED OFF AND THEY COULDN'T GET INTO IT!" Reflect snaps, storming out with Remix.

"Echo is lose on the base. she's apparently traveling by vent! I need not to remind you that this sparkling is BLIND! I don't care what you're doing, if you're not dying then you better be attempting to locate my fragging sparkling! if you're not looking for my sparkling, you WILL be dying!"

with the mass com, there's an immediate panicked scramble to find the sparkling, not because of Reflects warning, but because of Echo being blind. that sparkling could get herself into some dangerous situations.

"hey, relax just a little kid. I know you're worried because Echo is missing and blind but you need to take a deep breath and relax, alright? just relax. Jack still has that machine we used to use to find you in the vents, we'll get to work finding her okay? I know this is dangerous and stressful, but please just relax a little. we're going to find her."

"I can't relax Ratchet! first off, she's crawling and we missed it, second, SHE'S MISSING! MY BLIND SPARKLING IS MISSING!"

"I know Reflect, but we will find her. you'll never find her if you're panicking."

Remix whimpers quietly, cuddling to his carrier with a sniffle.

"why don't you send Remix into the vents after her?" Sideswipe asks, from where he's knelt by a vent, looking into it.

"I will NOT be doing that!" Reflect snaps.

"relax just a little Reflect. you're upsetting both twins remember and Echos probably already lost and pretty upset. you've got to try and calm down so that Echo can calm down." Sunstreaker says carefully. Reflect nods slightly and letting out a quiet breath.

"right.. right..." Reflect mumbles, squeezing Remix gently. Remix cuddles up to Reflect, chirping quietly. "I know, I'm sorry." Reflect murmurs, walking down the hall to look for his sparkling.

"um I found the sparkling."

"Prowl? you found Echo? where?!"

"she just fell into my office."

"I'll be right there!"

"take him Prowl found her!" Reflect shouts, shoving Remix at Sunstreaker. he runs off quickly, physically shoving Hound out of his way, running to Prowls office as fast as he can.

"I doubt Reflect thought to tell you, but Echo just fell into my office."

"thanks Prowl, I'll be there shortly after Reflect arrives."

Ironhide's barely answered the com when Reflect throws his office door open. there, sitting happily on Prowls lap looking a little beat up, is Echo. there's a small puddle of energon on Prowls lap, but Reflect can't tell if it belongs to the sparkling or the remains of a broken cube, parts of the cube he can see on the ground.

"Echo!" Reflect cries in relief, running over to the sparkling. Prowl easily holds her up and passes her off.

"thankfully she didn't hit the floor, I caught her, but she fell out of the vent looking like that." Prowl assures. Reflect hugs the sparkling tightly to his chest.

"I've got Echo, meet me in the medbay."

"is she alright kid?"

"just meet me in the medbay Ratchet."

Reflect teleports himself and Echo to the medbay, landing about the time Ratchet and Wheeljack push the doors open.

"what happened?" Ratchet asks.

"I dunno, Prowl says she fell out of the vent. I dunno if the energon is hurts or not." Reflect says. Ratchet nods swooping up the sparkling.

"don't panick kid. she probably did the same thing you did. those vents have sharp edge, they're not made to be crawled in. there are all kinds of sharp edges in those things. you came out of there pretty scraped up sometimes." Ratchet murmurs, gently. he walks off with the sparkling. Reflects optics are firmly locked onto Ratchet, even when Wheeljack attempts to distract him.

"Reflect, where is Remix?" Wheeljack ask softly. Reflect shoves the inventor out of his way, watching Ratchet with his sparkling.

"Jack, don't push him. okay? I'm sure he left Remix somewhere safe." Ratchet assures gently. Ironhide walks in, Remix cradled in his arm. "see I told you Remix was alright." Ratchet assures.

"Reflect left him with the twins." Ironhide mutters, cuddling Remix. "is she okay?" Ironhide asks. Ratchet nods.

"energon isn't hers. she probably landed on Prowls energon cube. no cuts and no leaks. she's a little beat up and a little scraped up, but I can get her fixed up easily." Ratchet assures. Reflect relaxes, watching the medic. Ironhide walks over and passes Remix to his bondmate gently. Reflect takes the sparkling gently, cuddling him carefully, before he glares and smacks Ironhide across the face. it leaves both Ironhide and Wheeljack in shock. Ratchet is too busy with Echo to care or witness the event.

"what the hell?" Ironhide huffs, glaring at his bondmate. Reflect glares back full force, growling dangerously at his bondmare.

"if you EVER lie to me about my sparklings being in potential danger again, I swear, you're going to meet the well of Allsparks!" Reflect snaps. Ironhide huffs, rubbing his cheek with a grumble. Wheeljack chuckles softly.

"don't you know better than to mess with a carrier and his sparklings?" Wheeljack teases.

"I'll smack you too." Reflect warns, glaring daggers over at Wheeljack in warning.

"okay, okay easy everyone." Ratchet murmurs, scooping up Echo gently.

"shes okay?" Reflect asks. Ratchet nods, passing her over to Reflect carefully.

"she's just fine kid. I patched up her dents and her scrapes. she's alright." Ratchet assures. Reflect nods, cuddling his sparklings gently. he glares at Ironhide.

"fuck off." Reflect snaps, storming out of the medbay.

"you're welcome to sleep in the medbay." Wheeljack teases. Ironhide shrugs and shakes his head.

"he won't be angry when I share the file with him that Red just sent me." Ironhide assures, following his angry bondmate back to their room.

when Ironhide gets back to their room, Reflect is hauled up on their berth, clutching the sparklings tightly. he immediately glares at Ironhide upon the mechs entry.

"I said fuck off." Reflect growls quietly.

"I thought you might want to see what I've got." Ironhide says. Reflect gives him an annoyed but confused look. "well, you seemed awful worried about someone breaking in and hurting the sparklings while we were in recharge. so I had a camera put in the room. Red is the only bot on the base with access to it." Ironhide says.

"you put a secret camera into the sparklings room?" Reflect glares.

"yes. to keep them safe, so guess what I've got that you don't." Ironhide smirks.

"creepy footage of our sparklings sleeping?" Reflect huffs.

"no, well, yeah. their room is dark and their little optics are kind of creepy before the sensor picks up and turns the light on, but I have our little sparkling learning to crawl." Ironhide smiles. Reflect glares more.

"fine you can stay, but only if you show me the video." Reflect mumbles, cuddling his sparklings. Ironhide smiles and sits with him. he projects it onto the wall across from them. "how'd they get onto the floor?" Reflect ask.

"uh, they threw themselves over the edge." Ironhide frowns. sure enough, both sparklings throw themselves over the edge and into the floor, both sparklings giggling. Remix immediately giggles and takes off, leaving Echo behind. she sits quietly for a few moments before whining. Remix chirps quietly off screen. Echo whines softly and scoots herself off screen. it's not crawling, its really more of a shuffle. Reflect laughs a little, squeezing the sparkling.

"awww my little bum-shuffler." Reflect laughs, kissing Echos head.

"what the fuck was that? that wasn't crawling." Ironhide huffs.

"its a bum-shuffle. actually it makes more sense for her. she can scoot around and use her legs to feel for thing around her without being like me and Remix running herself head first into things." Reflect snorts. Echo giggles happily, squealing excitedly. "and don't you fucking dare judge my baby. she's blind and she found a safe way to get around. its not like we could lock her in a giant hamster ball." Reflect frowns slightly. he hugs Echo while chuckling. "our sparklings are technically mobile. don't tell me you're upset she's not actually crawling." Reflect frowns, glaring up at his bondmate.

"no I'm not upset or anything. I've never seen a sparkling do that before." Ironhide frowns.

"oh well, babies do it all the time. human babies have multiple ways of getting around, but she's blind Hide. I'm glad she found a way to get around without slamming her head into walls, I mean, I know Wheeljack upgraded her optics so she can see the outline of walls, but he just did that and she probably doesn't realize what it is yet." Reflect frowns.

"I know Reflect, I know. just relax. okay?
