No one p.o.v

Ezra Bridger jerked awake. He looked around alarmed and was shocked to see that instead of a dark cell he was in a hospital room.

"What? How?" he thought.

"Is this a dream?"

Ezra tried to move but he felt a sharp pain in his chest.

"Not a dream"

But he had to admit that he was feeling better now. Yes, he was hurting, but not as much as before. He just laid down again, tearing up with tears of joy.

"I'm free"

Hera's p.o.v

I jerked awake in the middle of the night without knowing why. I got up and walked out of my room. I made my way to Jason's room but when I opened the door, I was only met with an empty bed. Where is that boy? A noise from the kitchen interrupted me from my thoughts. I walked until I reached the kitchen entrance. When the door opened I saw Jason, sitting on the table with a cup of cocoa on his hands.

"Is everything alright?" I asked scaring the the force out of him.

"Mom, you startled me! What are you doing up so late anyways"

"I should be the one to ask this question"

Jason looked down and I started rubbing his back.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing" He mumbled

"Does it have to do with Ezra's return"

Jason nodded.

"It's just.... all this time you never told a thing about him. I didn't even knew his name. I understood why you weren't telling me about my father but you could at least have told me about that. Are you keeping more secrets from me?"

"Jason, I didn't mean to hurt you I just wanted to protect you"

"You didn't answer my question" Jason said getting angry with the whole thing.

"Jason... I" I sighed. This time it was my turn to look down.

"So you do have other secrets that you are not telling me"

"Jason you need to understand-"

"I do understand! I understand that my mother is a liar!" he yelled and ran off. Some seconds later Zeb and Choper came rushing into the room.

"Is everything okay? I heard yells and Jason just ran off the ship"

I explained them what happened and then I looked down, feeling like I failed as a mother.

"Hera it's not your fault" Zeb said after I was finished "Jason is in the age that he wants to know his past"

"I know it's just difficult"

"For you or for him?" Zeb said smiling.

I sighed.

"Do you want me to follow him?" Choper beeped.

"No, thanks Chop but, it's better to leave him some space"

Jason p.o.v

I ran out of the ship. I looked around trying to decide where I should go. I decided to the hospital. Maybe I would find auntie Sabine there. I walked to the hospital enjoying the silent and peaceful night. Once I reached the hospital, I saw a lot of doctors and medic droids in all over the place. I walked till the room that they put Ezra yesterday and got inside. I was surprised not to see aunt Sabine there. I looked at the bed. Ezra was laying down wearing a breathing mask and with a lot of machines around him. He was awake but didn't seem to notice me. When I looked better at him, I realized that, he was crying.

"Are you okay?" I asked. I took a step back when he looked directly at me.

"What are you doing here, little one? Are you lost?" he asked.

"No, I'm here to see you"

"Have we met?" he asked confused.

"No,  but you used to know my parents, Hera Syndoula and Kanan Jarrus"

His eyes widened for a moment but then he smiled through the breathing mask.

"That's why I thought you looked familiar. What's your name?"

"Jason Syndoula"

He chuckled.

"What?" I asked confused.

"Oh, it's nothing. It's just that......Kanan always liked the name Jason"

I gasped. He moved to make some space in the bed even though this movement clearly hurted him. He patted the spot next to him and I jumped in the bed excited to hear more.

"Your father was my Master. He was the best friend that I ever had. He was kind and wise. And he loved this family more than anything else"

I looked down.

"What's wrong?"

"Mom"

"Is she okay?"

"She is a liar"

"What are you talking about?"

"She hides things from me"

He laughed a little with that.

"She is just trying to protect you. I'm sure she loves you very much. You shouldn't be mad at her. What would your father say if he was here?"

A tear escaped me eye.

"He would be upset" I answered and Ezra nodded. "I miss him"

Ezra closed his eyes only to open then up a second later. He looked around for something.

"Are you searching for the wooden box that we found in you cell?" I asked.

"Yes, is it here?"

I nodded and jumped out of bed to pick it up for him. Once I had it I walked back to his bed. I gave him the wooden box but he gave it back to me. I looked at him curiously.

"Open it"

I did and inside was........a light saber?

"This belonged to your father. Its not working anymore since Thrawn took the cyber crystal but I thought that you would like to have it"

I looked at the item that just became really valuable to me. I took it out of its box and held it. For one second I felt like daddy was here. Like when I touched it a connection was created between him and me.

I looked up to Ezra.

"Thank you"

"You're welcome. But now, if you excuse me, I would like to have some sleep"

"Of course. I'm sorry for bothering you"

"You have nothing to be sorry about" he said and closed his eyes. I was about to leave so I could let him rest but I felt dizzy, I lost my balance and fall to the floor. Everything was blurry and then completely black. I felt two hands picking me up and hugging me. It felt so safe and warm. Like when mom hugs me. I opened my eyes and I was shocked when I saw the person holding me.

"Dad?!"
