Chapter Two; Crash

Hey everyone! Yay!! Toothless's POV!

**Toothless's POV**

I powered my wings to propel me through the forest. I was heading to the cove. As soon as Hiccup and Astrid had decided to meet at the cove, I left. After I took Hiccup home, of course.

It was very hard flying, I hadn't had time to switch to my auto tail. I was more running, gliding, running, gliding.

I kept going. I had to keep my secret safe. I had only discovered it last night, and I knew Hiccup would be just as excited as I am, but I wanted to keep it a secret.

I had always shared my discoveries with Hiccup, it was hard not to. We spent so much time together, and since he was the human, he got all of the credit. With the exceptions of the times I saved him.

It might seem selfish, but I want to keep this one for myself, at least for right now.

I reached the cove and swooped down.

My secret was a bit hard to get hidden, and it wasn't hidden very well. That meant I would have to stall. Really stall. That meant I had to crash.

**Astrid's POV**

I stared at my mirror. I was wearing a fancier outfit, not to fancy to get a bit of dirt on, and my shoulder spikes. Of course, I wasn't wearing a dress. If I was, I wouldn't be able to ride Stormfly.

The sun was about to set. Hiccup and I had decided to have dinner at the cove before we went flying.

I walked outside and climbed on Stormfly. We lifted into the air. The sunset was beautiful from up there.

"Isn't it gorgeous, girl?" I asked her. She squawked in agreement.

It was quite peaceful, up in the sky. I reached up to touch the brilliant pink clouds. I felt the soft wetness of them as we soared through them.

Suddenly, Stormfly spooked, and a Night Fury roar echoed through Berk.

**Hiccup's POV**

I walked outside.

"Come on, Bud. We don't want to be late," I told Toothless. I was wearing a flight suit. Not my normal one with the wing flaps, but a nicer, less advanced one.

As I secured his tail fin, I didn't notice the small rip in it that was clearly made by Night Fury talons.

I climbed on his saddle, and took off. We glided smoothly above the clouds for a while, until I set his tail for a dive. I heard a whistle as wind rushed through a rip in Toothless' tail. The wind ripped the prosthetic more, and soon, Toothless and I were hurtling towards the water. I tried moving the fin, but had no such luck.

Toothless angled his wings towards the land, and before we knew it, we were less than 100 feet from the forest. Toothless let out a desperate roar before dragon and viking crashed to the ground.

**Astrid's POV**

There was something wrong with that roar, it was the kind that sent chills up my spine. Stormfly didn't like the sound of it either.

We flew through the trees, keeping an eye out for the unmistakable black scales of a Night Fury. Stormfly was flying at break-neck speed. I assumed that she had caught Toothless' sent.

We zoomed past a large, black mass, and I quickly redirected Stormfly,"Girl! You missed him!"

Stormfly swiftly turned around, and carefully scanned the forest. She landed next to Toothless. The black dragon was unconscious, and breathing deeply.

The blue Nadder bent down and squawked at the Night Fury. As she attempted to wake Toothless, I looked around for Hiccup. He should be nearby, unless he fell off in mid-crash.

I walked around the Dragons, and something red caught my eye. Hung up in a tree, was a piece of Toothless' prosthetic. I turned around and looked at his tail. The red tail fin attachment was torn and parts of it were scattered across the ground. That had to be the cause of the crash. If the tail was torn, Hiccup would lose control and defiantly crash.

I looked around a bit more, but I couldn't find Hiccup. Stormfly wasn't having any luck either with waking Toothless. In fact, she had turned around, and was walking towards the trees.

"Come on, Girl, we have to tell the village that their chief is missing and his dragon has crashed and isn't waking up," I said. Tears began to blur my vision, as I thought about Hiccup. He could be anywhere, with any amount of injuries. He could be dead!

I climbed on Stormfly, and, blinking back tears, we flew to the village.

Hey, guys. Sorry for the short chapter. I have a really good idea for the next chapter, though. See you later!
