"Frozenkit, wake up!" Frozenkit blinked, she felt her sister Whitekit prod her flank. "I am awake Whitekit" she groaned. She pressed against her mother Snowflight's belly "Mama, can we go out of the nursery?" she peeked out between the reeds and ferns, hiding the nursery from the rest of camp. "Yes please!" Whitekit moved to her side. "All the older kits are outside" After what seemed like an eternity, Snowflight nodded "Alright. You can go out but don't go to close to the edge of the water" she warned "We won't!" Whitekit mewed. "Thank you!" Frozenkit added. She bounded over to the ferns, poking her head out "Wow! Camp is huge" Snowflight purred, stepping out behind them. Frozenkit gazed around "Is this the great rock where Bluestar speaks to the clan?" she ran up to a big boulder "It's almost as big as the sun!" Whitekit exclaimed, scrambling on top of the rock. Frozenkit quickly followed her "Wait for me!" Snowflight padded over to them, grabbing Whitekit's scruff "Get down there" Whitekit frowned "Aww why?" Snowflight set her down "You could fall and hurt yourself. And don't get me started on what Bluestar could have done if he saw you on there."

Foxkit padded over snickering "Look at that. The little Frozenkit and Whitekit leaving the nursery and already getting in trouble" Frozenkit whimpered and gazed up at the older kit. He was much bigger than them and a total bully. Snowflight stepped in front of them "Leave my kits alone" she growled. Foxkit grinned "Oh I'm so sorry that you need to hide behind your mother" Heronkit stepped up to him "Stop it Foxkit!" he padded to Frozenkit and Whitekit's side "I will not let you tease them anylonger!" Frozenkit felt warmth fill her chest as Heronkit stood up for them. Foxkit growled "How dare you stand up for them instead of being by my side. I thought we did everything together" Heronkit turned away "Well if you tease my friends like that, you're no longer a friend of mine" Foxkit hissed "Weakling!" then he padded away. Frozenkit turned to face Heronkit and gazed up at him "Thank you Heronkit" He smiled warmly at her "It wasn't fair of Foxkit to tease you" Whitekit nudged her side and Frozenkit realized she was staring at the older tom with an open mouth. "Uh, okay..." she quickly shut her mouth "Thanks" Heronkit nodded "I should probably go now, talk to Foxkit" he turned and left. Frozenkit sighed, her gaze following him. She flinched as Whitekit suddenly squeeled with delight "Daaaad!" she flung her head around, gazing up at Greyear. Her father gave Snowflight a quick nuzzle before turning to his kits "How are my little darlings doing?" Whitekit bounded up to him "Foxkit was teezing us! But Heronkit helped us" she gazed back at Frozenkit "And Frozenkit has a crush!" she squeeled. Frozenkit fluffed up her fur, blushing "No I don't!" Greyear chuckled "Sounds like you had a nice time. You'll end up with one of them anyways" "What if I don't want to?" Frozenkit asked, she didn't like Foxkit and couldn't imagine being Heronkit's mate. Greyear licked her forehead "You aren't the one to decide. They'll choose you" Whitekit stuck out her tongue "Well I won't let them!" Frozenkit smiled "Me neiter!"
