His lungs hurt. He had coughed so much he was practically gasping for air, though it could have also been because of the flowers in his lungs.

  He could hear his front door, he knew exactly who it was. He didn't bother moving from his spot on the bathroom floor.

  "In here Yuqi," he croaked out.

   The bathroom door opened and the blonde was standing there, a small gasp left her seeing the sight.

Petals and full flower were laying around, but most of them were bloody.

   "Oh god, lix... it is getting worse," she said walking in.

  Felix took a breath and nodded, "I assume that they are speeding each other up," he muttered.

  "But like this? You were barely coughing up full flowers a month ago," Yuqi stated cleaning up the sides of Felix's mouth with tissues.

   "Hyunjin has been going on dates, I can only assume that it is making it worse,"

   Yuqi held Felix's hand tightly, she just couldn't sit by and watch her best friend to this to himself.

  "Felix, please just do the surgery," she pleaded.

   The younger shook his head, "I can't. It is too late. My assumption is that by this point, it is so intertwined, it would be next to impossible to get out," Felix paused taking a few breaths, "all that I can do now is wait,"

   Tears fell down Yuqi's cheeks, she pressed her lips together in hope to stop her cries.

  "We need to get you admitted. You can't be by yourself... if you don't want to at least try to do the surgery, just do this. If not for yourself, for me, Minho, and Jisung,"

    Felix sighed. He would do it. Do it for them, because if it was up to him he'd stay here.

    "There is a letter in my bedside drawer. Can you give it to the dean?" Felix asked.

  Yuqi pursed her lips and nodded.

  She helped Felix up and out of the house. Going back in she collected a few things, not bothering with the mess in the bathroom.

   Yuqi felt her heart pang when she saw the picture of Hyunjin and Felix, from when Felix was just starting out in the hospital.

  How would Hyunjin react to this? She was aware that Hyunjin knew about the star tears, but the hanahaki...

   The thing that was killing Felix.

   "How bad is his condition?"

   Yuqi sat down, "It is hard for him to breath on his own, he is on oxygen. We had to insert a feeling tube. Hyunjin arrives back today though," she said.

  "No one has told Hyunjin about any of it?"

   "No he has been on vacation for the past few days. I figured he'd come rushing back when Felix's letter of resignation went through,"

   Hoseok sighed, "We wouldn't have notified him because he is on vacation..."

  Yuqi bit her lip, "I don't know how much longer Felix has. We could try to get power of attorney signed to Jisung or even one of his sisters, but he is in sound mind, so no judge would grant it. There is also the fact that he is right.

  This late in the game with Hanahaki... if it had been a few months ago we probably could have gotten it all out and all we would have to worry about is the star tears, but now we can't,"

   Hoseok pursed his lips taking in a deep breath, "Just try to keep him comfortable. If we can, reach out other hospitals see if they can help any,"

  Yuqi nodded. All she wanted was for her best friend to get better.
