Of crimes and fights: B99 (Fanfic boot camp- specialist)
Gina Linetti had never been placed in these types of situations before, which was ironic. After all, she worked in a police station, in New York.
She had no clue how she ended up here. Her hands were shaky, even when the ropes bounded them tightly, the polyester digging into her skin.
Breath, just breath and everything will be fine... Except it wasn't. She wondered, for a moment, if her friends would really come and save her.
No. She shouldn't doubt their abilities. But it was so difficult not to, when the black piece of tape was covering her mouth, and the cheap mask over her face.
The silence was ringing in her ears, and the only other sound she could hear was the pounding of her heart, as if it would jump out of her chest.
Footsteps approached, and she braced herself. Her whole body tensed, and she could feel the person breathing on her, in quick shallow breathes. Good. He was scared, that meant the Nine Nine were onto him. Right? Right?
Her whole life, she always tried to put on a brave front. Now, the demons and monsters in her head were getting to her, exposing how much of a true coward she was.
Tears threatened to spill, and she blinked them away. If the person did anything silly, she would fight back. She had to. She was not going down easy.
Her ears caught the subtle but sharp scraping of a knife against wood, then a clatter. Her heartbeat quickened, and her legs trembled. Was she really going to die today?
Just yesterday, she mocked Jake and Amy who were complaining about how hard their lives were, capturing and putting criminals away. How dangerous could it be?
Now she had played right into fates' hands.
A familiar sound pulled her back into reality, interrupting her train of thoughts. The soft click that she heard almost a thousand times.
A gun. In her mind, she could picture it so clearly. The kidnapper with his finger on the trigger, a twitch away from instant death, her life on the line.
Someone, please make it stop. Please, please, PLEASE. She wanted to scream, to fight, to have one more second of life to live.
Laughter echoed through the room. Gina could hear a pinch of amusement, the guffaw cold and devoid of any human emotion.
The tension was so sharp she could cut it with a knife, the brunette thought to herself. Then again, she was at such a vulnerable position someone could cut her with a knife.
No more horrible jokes at the expense of my life. I need to escape. NOW.
She had accepted that no one was going to get her. She would have to fight this alone.
Her fingers entangled the rope, in a desperate attempt to untie. Her legs rubbing against the fibres that were chaffing her skin.
She could feel him smirk. NO. NO. Before she could scream, there was a sickening click.
