SEPTEMBER FIRST. kennedy's birthday, which was three days from now. that's the date she decided to release the album. she had been spending the past couple hours of this morning jotting down possible dates for the album drop. and she had finally finalized it. kennedy closed the small notebook, and placed it on her night stand, laying back into the soft pillows when she heard a knock, it wasn't aggressive, but it wasn't soft either. and before she knew it, dylan was entering her room.

"hey, when are planning on getting ready for tonight?" she questioned kennedy.

kennedy glanced up from the night stand she had just placed the notebook on, "for tonight?" she asked out of pure confusion.

"haileys new rhode line is dropping tomorrow. her launch party is tonight."

"i fucking forgot." kennedy replied out of straight embarrassment. a few weeks prior to visiting home, kennedy and dylan had recieved an invitation to the launch party. the two girls were friendly with the model, but never really got to know her.

"we don't have to go, i can just say we had plans." dylan suggested.

"no, no. we can go. i just wasn't expecting to do anything tonight." kennedy sighed in annoyance. her phone buzzing a couple of times following the sigh. she chose to ignore it, allowing dylan to continue the conversation she had began.

"okay, are you sure?" she questioned kennedy. dylan only asking, mainly because she wasn't sure what people were invited to the party. specifically if one person was invited to the party.

"no, yeah, let's go. what time is it at again?" kennedy retorted, her stubbornness getting the best of her.

"it starts at 7," dylan replied, causing kennedy to glance down at her phone check the time. it was nearly 3 pm, giving her about 4 hours to get ready. since she had just been reminded of the party, kennedy was no where near prepared.

"okay, i'm gonna start getting ready now," she told dylan.

"now?"

"now."

"why now?" dylan inquired.

"i gotta find the best possible outfit? duh." kennedy shot back with a grin.

"alright, you do that." dylan cheered her on, throwing her bestfriend a double thumbs up before shutting kennedy's bedroom door behind her.

before kennedy got up, she picked up her phone to see what notifications she was getting previously.
