CHAPTER 34: RAMEN AND SOJU

"What are they doing?" Jannah asked as her eyes moved from Suhad to Prince.

"I think they're trying to get drunk" Daihaah replied as she and Jannah watched their husbands sit opposite them. Her hands are folded over her torso as she watched them wondering if they have grown two heads. Jannah is wondering about the same thing.

Suhad dropped his now empty small glass cup. Prince filled it up to the tip again for him while Suhad downed it all. Then. They switch positions in the sense that Suhad now filled up Prince's cup while the guy took it all in. They ignored their wives and just got lost in their apparently 'soju'.

"Drunk?" Jannah asked not taking her eyes off her husband, the corner of her lips scrunched up a bit wondering what the hell got into him.

"Yup" Daihaah responded as she watched her husband drink in another cup.

Jannah shook her head watching as Suhad filled up his cup and then Prince's. The two clank the two glasses together as they muttered 'cheers' before they drank it. "How can you possibly get drunk on Pepsi?" Her eyes moved to the two Pepsi bottles infront of both men, one each.

So far, they've drank one and are currently on the second one. This has been going on for over half an hour.

"I don't know. Why don't they answer us? It's not like they can't hear us or something" Daihaah shook her head when neither of the men acknowledged their presence. They are simply ignoring them.

Why? Because of the scene they caused at ANNA's.

"Dude I'm telling you, women are a lot to handle" Suhad shook his head as he stared at his cup filled with Pepsi or in their words 'soju'.

Prince huffed lowly, "Your wife is easy to handle seff. Imagine how much my pregnant wife drives me nuts" He hissed slightly and then filled his cup up, he drank it all.

"Are you kidding me? Man I know your wife is a lot to handle"

"True that"

"—But have you met mine? She never goes an hour without causing any trouble"

"Yours is an hour. Mine can't go ten minutes without doing something"

"Um hello" Jannah waved her hands trying to get the two men's attention.

"We're right here you know" Daihaah said. But, just like earlier, the men ignored them and kept on talking as if they aren't there.

"Imagine what would've happened if we didn't show up on time?" Suhad asked as he turned to look at his best friend.

Prince Aamir scoffed, "It doesn't matter. The deed is done already. They slapped Anna. What else is left?"

"Technically--" Jannah cut him off but Daihaah finished the statement for her.

"We didn't. Tatiana did. We are innocent" But of course, the guys ignored them, again.

"You know what I'm worried about?" Suhad sounded like he's about to cry, his blinking only added to the show he's putting up, "I'm worried about Jannah. What if she ends up jobless?"

"Ayyah sorry bro. I'm also worried about Daihaah. If Anna decides to press charges, the board might dismiss her and then she'll become jobless too" Prince shook his head, the same time Suhad did.

"How will we fend for them?" Suhad asked wiping away his fake tears.

"Gasu da ci kaman meh" Prince added making both women's eyes widen. As much as Daihaah loved the instances he speaks in Hausa, this isn't one of those times.

"Gwanati zamu kaisu" Suhad said making Prince nod in agreement.

"Okay I'm starting to wonder if you can really get drunk on Pepsi" Jannah said as she leaned on the table, closely eying her husband.

"If you can then you'd be drunk all the time" Daihaah said lowly, but enough for them all to hear.

"Fair point" Jannah muttered as she nodded.

"Hey"

They all whipped their heads to the source of the voice. Two guys stood a couple of feet away from them, both of them had their eyes on Jannah and Daihaah. They are cute, the girls will give them that but they look like they're nothing more than 25 years old.

"You look like you're not having a good time. We can show you around if you want?" One of them asked.

Jannah and Daihaah looked at each other, a smile making its way on their face. Jannah looked down and covered her mouth with her hands, trying to hold back her laughter. Daihaah couldn't hold it in though, she quickly covered it with a cough as she glanced at the two men that sat opposite them.

"Aishh" Suhad muttered as he shook his head. All these Kdrama Jannah's making him watch is slowly taking an effect in his vocabulary. He reached his hand out to his tie and pulled it back slightly—loosening it as he scoffed. Pushing his chair back, he stood up.

Prince on the other hand didn't take his narrowed eyes away from the two guys oblivious to the murderous looks they're getting. He pushed his chair back and stood up, his hand tucked in the pocket of his suit pants.

He and Suhad walked to stand in front of the men, covering their view from their wives. And now standing, they are about a foot taller than the other men, which is an advantage to them because that enough intimidated them.

"Did you see them alone or what?" Suhad asked, his eyes narrowed in slits.

"Did you just try to hit on my wife" Prince asked the man that spoke like he couldn't believe he actually did that. He wasn't pretending though; he still couldn't believe the man had the audacity to do that.

"Yo man I didn't know she's your wife, I'm sorry" The man said raising one of his hands up while the other man sneaked away quietly. He didn't say anything to begin with so why should he stay.

"You didn't see us sitting with them?" Suhad asked, his voice lower than earlier in a more of menacing tone. He could seriously joke around with anything except his family and religion. And his wife? That is a huge no-go area.

"His eyes aren't working correctly. I think he needs us to fix it for him" Prince said as he looked at his friend from the corner of his eyes.

Suhad nodded in agreement, "Yeah I think so too. What do you think? Are five punches each okay? A black eye might just be what he need" He cracked his knuckles, loudly.

"No a broken arm along with the black eye will do. That way he won't be able to wave at another woman again" Prince said as he glanced at Suhad for a second, his lips set into a straight line.

"I think I need to remove a few teeth too, so that he won't smile at another woman that is"

The man didn't waste a second in packing his slippers and sprinting in the direction his friend went. Even standing there and listening to the two is scaring the shit out of him. He didn't want to wait any longer to find out if they are joking or not.

"Bastard"

"Coward"

Prince and Suhad muttered simultaneously before they sat back on their seats.

"So they are not drunk after all" Daihaah said chuckling at the show the two put up a couple of minutes ago. Both she and Jannah know that they won't do anything to the man, just scaring him is what they'll do.

They can't just go around punching every guy that tries to hit on their wives. I mean, let's be realistic here. Because they are rich and royalty doesn't mean they can do whatever they want all the times and get away with it.

"Why were you even smiling at him?" Suhad asked as he leaned back on his seat and narrowed his eyes at his wife who scoffed.

"Me? Smile at him?"

"Yes. You. I saw you" He said, pointing his finger at her as he glared at her.

"And you" Prince called out for his wife who glared at him, "Why were you looking at him when I'm here?"

Jannah scoffed, "Don't tell me you two are jealous"

"Yes we are"

"Yes we are"

Both Prince and Suhad said at the same time.

Jannah and Daihaah exchanged looking before they looked back at their husbands, "Well is it our fault that you're ignore us?"

"Yeah you two were too busy getting 'drunk'" Daihaah air quoted 'drunk'.

"I don't remember such thing happening" Suhad said shaking his head. He leaned back on the seat whilst fixing his tie back in place. He wasn't satisfied with that though. So he took off the tie completely and undo the first button keeping the tie on the table. Jannah took the tie and placed it in her bag knowing he might just forget it there. He's both forgetful of small things like this and careless knowing he has dozens of ties.

"Me neither" Prince said backing his friend up.

"Well I remember" Daihaah said placing both her hands on the table as she reminded the two what happened though she's sure that they are well aware.

Somehow the girl's fighting didn't stop in the restroom alone because soon enough, they all stumbles out and were fighting in the hallway. To be honest, Tatiana's suffering the most, or is most definitely the only person suffering because none of the three women beating her up is even breaking a sweat.

One they definitely all were was loud.

The hallway was soon filled up with their yells and curses gaining them attention.

"Girls...stop" Anna said as she stomped towards them determined to break the three women apart. Never had she had an employee of hers fight in office, what more along with a board member from a company she just signed a deal. She had to stop this.

She tried to break them up physically. No one really knew who she pulled because they were so caught up that they didn't notice her or anyone else. She pulled the person's arm but the person didn't budge. When she tried harder. She ended up on the floor after a resonating slap landed on her face.

Anna stood up and found a corner, sitting down with her hand on her cheek as she watched the fight quietly.

She didn't want to take chance again. One slap is enough for her thank you.

That was around the same time that Adda Anee walked up and finally pulled Daihaah out of the fight. Lucky for her, she didn't get slapped or hit. Suhad pulled his wife into his arms while Prince did the same leaving Adda Anee to take care of Fatimah. The others helped Tatiana who would without a doubt need a doctor's checkup.

"Anee, take care of my sister please" Suhad pleaded with Anee who nodded.

He dragged his wife out, Prince and Daihaah were out already so they joined them. Both Daihaah and Jannah folded their hands over their torsos and waited for the inevitable scolding from the two men.

It never came though.

"Aren't you going to say something?" Daihaah asked raising her brow at Prince who sighed.

He turned to Suhad and tapped his shoulder, "Man do you want a drink?"

Suhad nodded, "I'll need two for sure"

"Let's go then"

The men drove in one car and left the women to follow them if they wanted to or stay there. They didn't have the energy in tehm to scold them or anything.

And well, that's how they ended up in the café.

"I don't remember that happening" Suhad shook his head while Prince doe sthe same, "You know what? Let's just go home. I'm in the mood for some Ramen" He added standing up. He patted Prince's shoulder, "Bye bro" he didn't wait for Jannah to respond before he took her hand and lead them out to where his car is. He had someone take her car already, she didn't know that though.

Till now.

And that's exactly what they did. They went back home and had some Ramen with more Soju with Kdrama of course. Jannah is obsessed with that, Suhad is secretly too.

Fatimah walked out of the building with her bag slung over her shoulder as she made her way over to where her car is. When she looked up, her gaze fell on a familiar face that she definitely did not expect to see there.

He raised his hand up and waved at her, a small smile on his face as he leaned on his car.

She made her way towards him with her brows furrowed. She couldn't think of a reason why he would be there. "Hey" she said once she stood in front of him, her hand clutching her shoulder bag tightly—he noticed that making him offer her a smile that's supposed to ease her nerves.

It only made her more nervous.

"Hey" He said back.

"So..." she shifted on her feet as she gulped, "Why are you here? I mean Jannah's not here. She left with Bhai a while ago and I—"

"It's okay I came here to see you" he cut her off making her gulp again, hard.

"What for?" She internally cursed herself for asking such questions. She's a bit too straight forward.

"I just wanted to talk. We can go to a café or a restaurant if you want. If it'll make you more comfortable that is" Kamal said. Her reply made him smile.

HERE! STOP ASKING ME TO UPDATE.

Ehem ehem...to those telling me to update because the comments reached 200 or that I mistakenly updated the last chapter again, please stop disturbing me! I said I'll update when it reaches 200 and I did even before it reached that. Plus, I didn't mistakenly update the last chapter again, I completed it—unless you count a 700 words chapter a chapter. I made it from 700 words to 3000 words and some people are still asking me to update or that I made a mistake. It's annoying really.

Anyways...I don't do shoutouts anymore but if you have time, I'll recommend you check out REEHANA BY YASHUAMUSTAPHABUKAR and WHY, LAURA? By -LALAGRAM-@-lalagram

Also, I don't take reading requests anymore because I hardly read Nigerian books these days so don't feel offended if you ask me to read your book and I ignore you.

That's it.

Love Jannah.
