Newt Scamander drummed his fingers on the windowsill of the boat, staring out at the blue ocean. He was on his way to New York City to visit Jacob, Queenie, and Tina, and frankly, he couldn't be more excited.

He had left his suitcase under the care of a dear friend, so New York wasn't going to have to worry that his creatures would escape and then proceed to wreak havoc in the country. However, Newt had to bring one small beast with him--Pickett, his bowtruckle.

Queenie had appeared at Jacob's bakery a few months back and indirectly given him back his memories of magic, simply by letting him see her face. After a moment, he recognized Queenie, and his memories were restored. There was no need for the president of MACUSA, Seraphina Picquery, to know about it.

By now, the Statue of Liberty came into view. Giddy with excitement, Newt stood up and went to the balcony of the boat. Soon, he would see his friends.

Finally, the boat had pulled up at the dock. Newt was the first one at the gates, ready for them to open and let him find Tina. He self-consciously adjusted his Hufflepuff scarf, and craned his neck, looking for her.

At last, the gates had opened! Newt practically sprinted out, looking for Tina. And then he saw her. She was searching the crowd as well, and at last, her eyes fell on Newt. The two made eye contact, and grinned.

Newt made his way through the bustling mob of people to Tina. They ran at each other and awkwardly hugged. Newt stepped back and looked at her. She hadn't changed at all. She was beautiful.

"Newt," she said, a look of upmost happiness on her face. "You have no idea how long the last few months have been without you- I've missed you so much." Newt smiled.

"I've missed you too, Porpentina." Tina grinned and jokingly said, "Oh, come on, don't call me that. Well, what are we waiting for?" She grabbed his hand and led him to a nearby alleyway, where they disapparated.
