The judge was handed a slip of paper to tell the verdict.
"The jury is allowing Starling's parents to keep her." The answer rang through the androids' ears. Starling would be away from their grasp. Forever.

Crystal turned towards her.
🔴Get Starling back
🔵Don't get Starling back

In the end, Crystal knew there was nothing she could do, and Starling was taken away.
"No!! No! Please, don't take them away from me!!! NO!!! CRYSTAL HELP ME!!!" Starling begged as they dragged her away. Crystal sighed, and began to cry into Rupert's shoulder. Starling didn't get the justice she deserved.

O N E Y E A R L A T E R ...

It's been a year since Crystal and Rupert were denied custody of Starling. Now, Crystal was going to the same pet store where they had their first fight. She walked in and saw the same woman at the counter as before, the owner. A woman named Barbara. Crystal grabbed the bird food and handed over the counter.
"Your husband's not with you hunny?"
"N-no. We're no longer together." Crystal explained as the bird food was rang up, and again, like the first time they met, Crystal was given the bird food for free.

Once home, she fed the birds and then a news update appeared. A Yk900 body was found outside an abandoned house. It was Starling. Her parents... killed her and fled the scene. Crystal sat on her bed, emotionless for a moment, before crying her eyes out. She had no one. No Rupert and no Starling. She was alone.
