Here we are on the 13th of January..
29 weeks after Starlights fight began, 9 weeks before he had just come back into work.

Unfortunately the morning of the 8th Star was put to sleep. He took his last breath and left our world forever. He walked the final walk...

We have to remember the good, for example the day I got Starlight, I had no idea he could possibly be mine, that was until I got to my bosses yard and he was standing in his stable covered in gift bows.

Let's take you back to the time when I first met him. My horse at the time had gone lame and I needed a horse to do Senior Camp, my boss let me borrow him.

And he then took me on to compete at a good level eventing, he took me from being worried about riding a 'horse' to loving it. Every single second.

We won pony club competitions and represented our county. He was a horse of a life time.

And then on Christmas Day, we went and dressed them up, they had a ride.

I miss him, I miss him every day. Tears seem to catch me at the weirdest moments, I'll change Johnnys rug and have a little nostalgia trip and burst into tears thinking about him.

Today we went and collected his ashes. Bringing more tears and sadness, but the sadness won't last forever.

My mother bought me a bouquet of flowers, and a big hefty hug. She attempted to carry Star, but he was very very heavy - 20kg+ but then, he was a big horse.

The box we had his ashes in is beautiful, and had a beautiful plaque on the box.

We received a card from the crematorium, with a beautiful cover..

And an even more beautiful message inside..

It's the end of an era, and you have left my life, but you will never leave my heart ❤❤
