"Ladies and gentlemen, the wait is finally over. It's finals time! Since Cobra Kai scored the most points, they only need to win one match to be crowned Grand Champion. But, if Miyagi-Do wins both matches, the title is theirs! Ooh, high drama! Up first, the boys fight! Good luck to all of our fighters!" Daryl announced, Miguel not showing up to fight Eli, putting him in the finals with Robby. Sadie crossing her arms over her stomach, watching weary. She looked toward the door, expected Miguel to come in and join her in a second.
The two bowed to the ref, then once again to each other. "Ready and fight!"
Robby kicked first, Eli following as he threw a punch, Robby sneaking his hand up to hit him in the chest. Cobra Kai cheered for him, clapping their hands together. "Point! One-zero, Keene."
"Let's go, baby!" Robby cheered, bouncing back on his mark. Eli called a quick time out, annoying Robby.
Sadie wished Demetri or Sam had given her some sign as to what Daniel was saying. Eli headed back toward the mat, Sadie cupped her tattooed hand together. "Woo! Come on, Eli! You got this!"
"Ready? And fight!"
Eli kicked him first, stepping side ways to block his punches, spinning around and sending his own. Robby had blocked them well, high stepping to avoid his feet being kicked from under him. Eli sent a kick his way, his ankle caught and shoved away. Like he did with Miguel, they both jumped on sync and kicked each other, but it was clear Eli had him first. "Point, Miyagi-Do!"
Sadie grinned, clapping loudly. Eli ran forward, kicking off his leg in a twist, Robby latching onto it and tossing him back against the mat, sending his fist down before Eli rolled out of the way.
They stood up again, both sending a kick in the other's direction, blocking each other. Eli kicked around, swinging on his legs and kicking Robby down onto the mat. "No point. Blocked."
Robby punch his way, Eli leaning back to dodge it. He used Miyagi-Do well, and Sadie had to admit it.
Robby latched onto his body, yanking him back on the mat as their feet pushed at each other, rolling apart. Robby's gi was loosening, trying to kick Eli as he blocked it in return. He did it again, Hawk ducking under his arm as Robby tried to punch forward, running too fast as the force of the motion pulled him backwards, farther away.
Eli kicked at his waist, having it blocked, doing the same with his punches before Robby shoved him harshly, kicking off his left leg and sending the right into his blocked hands. Eli kicked at him, Robby jumping backwards to avoid it. His hand had hold of him, yanking harshly to have Eli against it, only for it to backfire and the Miyagi-Do to flip him over his back, onto the mat.
The buzzer sounded loudly above them, the ref hurrying them back to their senseis. Sadie jumped at the sudden sound. "Unbelievable! These two amazing competitors have reached their three-minute time limit in a one-one tie! Which means their championship match will he decided, for the first time since 1985, by sudden-death overtime!"
The crowd went absolutely insane, Robby and Eli bowing to each other before heading back over to their dojos. Sadie hesitated, running behind the mat to make it toward Miyagi-Do. "Yo, bird boy."
He turned, looking down at her from the mat. Sadie shook her head. "You know you've got this, right?"
"You think so?" he gave a minor insure look.
"Know so." she corrected him, inhaling with a nod. "I'm really sorry that we've been fighting so much lately."
"My fault." he hoped off the mat to stand infront of her. "I did some really messed up stuff to you. I deserve what you've been feeling."
"Yeah." Sadie agreed before she shook her head. "But you're not all to blame. And I don't want us to fight forever. You're a part of me weather I like it or not. So, fuck it, right?"
He smiled. "You wanna be friends again?"
Sadie cracked a grin, trying to hide her softness with a shrug. "Don't think we're getting friendship bracelets or anything."
Eli smiled, shaking his head. "Wouldn't dream about it."
Sadie didn't realize how good it would be to get a clean slate, the pair hugging tightly as Sam and Demetri sighed in relief. Sadie pulled back from their forceful hug. "Okay, go out there and win the All Valley. Robby Keene needs to be humbled anyways."
Eli nodded quickly. "Thank you."
Sadie slapped his shoulder as he got back on the mat. She gave a little nod to Sam, running back to Eagle Fang while the pair took their marks once again.
Robby's hands messed at his gi, looking for the string to tie it, becoming annoyed and yanking it off. Sadie rose her eyebrows, watching as he tossed it toward Tory.
The ref shrugged toward Eli, making him strip his off and throw toward the side as well. Sadie elbowed Devon. "You use to this yet?"
"Kinda feels like a fever dream." she said honestly.
"Next point wins. Good luck, gentlemen. Ready?" the ref got between the two. "Fight!"
Robby kicked first, bouncing off his legs to kick high, hoping to end this, only for Eli to duck and dodge it. He did it again, his feet pressing into his thigh as he kicked backwards, flipping in the air as Eli fell against the mat. He was pushing off his palms and onto his feet before Robby was fully up, running forward to wrap his legs around his shoulders and swinging him against, only for it to backfire as his back was against the mat, Robbys fist rose before his eyes fell onto Kenny, who was yelling and cheering him on.
It gave Eli the perfect opportunity to kick him in the shoulder, separating the pair. Sadie yelled out in joy.
Robby dodged and back up at the multiple kicks Eli was throwing and twisting around to send his way. Robby ducked under his arm and was on the opposite side, both breathing heavy and tired like. Robby swung around to try and kick him in the face, blocking a punch with a harsh kick to the side, not scoring the point. Eli stumbled in minor pain.
They backed off a second, Eli turned around on his left leg, wrapping the right around Robbys waist, taking him down on the mat with him, a kick straight to the chest. Sadie tossed her hands above her head. "Point! Winner!"
"Hell yes!" the Vesper girl yell out as Miyagi-Do ran onto the mat to hug him as a congratulations. Eli took the trophy, holding it up with a cheer. "Woo, you show em!"
He looked in her direction, getting a wide smile and two thumbs up.
Sadie had escaped to Miyagi-Do's side once again to rebraid Sams hair for her. "You're gonna do great out there, okay? Don't let her get in your head. You stay focused. You fight for what you want, not for revenge."
Sam turned to her with a nod of her head, inhaling. "I'm gonna try."
"I know you have it in you." Sadie smiled, holding her face. "Good luck."
She pressed a kiss to Sams lips.
"What better way to cap off this exciting exhibition of karate then with a final match for the ages?" Daryl spoke over the mic as the spot lights shined on the mat. "Repressing Cobra Kai, the Queen Cobra herself, Tory Nichols! Coached by her senseis John Kreese and Terry Silver."
Sadie watched Johnny and Daniel talk to Sam, finding herself between Demetri and Eli . "And representing Miyagi-Do Karate, the bonsi badass, Samantha LaRusso.Couch by two time champion Daniel LaRusso and, who i've been informed, will be joined Sensei Johnny Lawrence."
Sadie smiled at Sam, watching Daniel take off onto the stage a second.
"Oh! I stand corrected, fellow two-time All Valley champion, Sensei Johnny Lawrence!" Daryl called, Sadie met Daniel eye, giving a greatful smile as he nodded in return. "Let's go!"
"Fight!"
Tory struck first with an angry kick, Sam blocking it with her own leg. She went at her again, swinging her foot as Tory tried to kick her legs out from under her, the LaRusso girl twisting around and kicking her across the face. Sadie cheered with a proud smile.
Tory walk toward Terry and Kreese,
Sadie rolled her eyes.
They took their marks again, Tory bounced on the mat infront of Sam, kicking forward and swinging a punch backwards when circling her. Sam dodged it, blocking her kick, sending her own, forearms coming up and blocking the string of punches Tory threw at her. Sam kicked to the side, Tory punching her in the stomach and scoring the point. "Score, one-one. Fight!"
Sam kicked toward Tory, having it blocked before Tory twisted around, kicking in return to get her right again. "Point! Two-one, Nichols."
Sadie sighed. Sam looked back, getting a little nod from her girlfriend.
Sam stood infront go Tory, using balancing hand motions, Daniel gave a proud look. Tory looked oddly before Sam ended it with one fist above her head, the other before her. The ref nodded. "Ready? And fight!"
Tory struck first, kicking as Sma blocked them, Tory side kicking her in the ribs as Sam threw her fist her way, Tory blocking it. The Miyagi-Do tossed her leg over Torys head, taking her original position again as they backed up away from each other for a second. Tory swung around twice, trying to kick her, having each blocked. She blocked Sams hits in return, linking their arms together and yanking her harshly.
Sam broke free, ducking as Tory swung her first above her head. Sam hit her in the chest, Tory stumbling back over the line. "No point. Out of bounce."
"Are you kidding me!" Sadie yelled out from the side lines. "That's such bullshit, I saw her freaking feet! Where are you eyes at?"
"Hey, poor sportsmanship!" Terry yelled her way.
"Poor coaching, more so!" Sadie yelled back.
"Okay, okay." Daniel rubbed her arms. "Deep breaths."
Johnny called out in annoyance. "Come on, Ref! She went out after she got hit!"
The two took their stance again, one of Sams legs rose in her final position. With a full kick forward, she swung her fist as Tory blocked them, kicking at her, Sam blocking it. The two were moving quickly this round. Sam hit Tory in the chest, scoring herself a point, making Sadie and Daniel both give a little cheer. "Scores two to two. Next point wins. Ready? Fight!"
Tory threw her legs in Sams direction, hers blocked and hit, but it was blocked. They both rose their hands, each having them blocked above their heads before Sam kicked Tory, being shoved away. Sam kicked her again, Tory grasping under Sams leg and throwing her down on the mat, Sam flipping over her and getting to her feet, grabbing Torys middle and forward rolling as Torys elbow collided with her eye.
Sadie gave a worried gasp.
"Warning. Elbow to the face. Go to your senseis." the ref called.
"Warning? Should be a point deduction!" Johnny yelled his way.
"I didn't mean to. No, it was an accident." Tory got on her feet and looked down at Sam, who held her eye in pain, squinting and running toward her senseis.
Sadie waved Sam over, stepping into the mat to look and her eye. "You okay? Can you see?"
"Yeah, she got me good but I can still fight." Sam promised, holding her swollen eye a second longer.
"Okay, you got this." Sadie gave a little grin, a quick kiss to the head. "Get in there."
Sadie and Tory took their marks again.
"Fight!"
Sam kicked her way, having it blocked. They circled each other slightly, Tory throwing a kick toward Sams head, having it blocked immediately as she sent a punch toward the chest, having it blocked. Sam kicked Tory, her arms blocking it. The Nichols girls was so close to hitting Sams chest, but she was too quick, and too good at blocking.
Sam came close to kicking Tory, having it blocked quickly as Tory landed a kick to her back. Twisting around, she kicked Sam harshly, despite her blocking it, Sams shorter body stumbling back. Tory fell to the floor, giving Sam another kick, scoring herself the point. "Winner!"
Sadie's heart fell as she gapped at Sam, who slowly sat up from the ground and looked beyond disappointed and heartbroken by her own actions.
