"Did you see him before you sat down?" Sadie asked as she held her head. Though it was a bad idea, she showed up to the tournament to at least cheer on Hawk and her team. Demetri met her in the stands, putting a arm around her as she laid on his shoulder, "Did he looked excited? Nervous?"
"Color coded." Demetri nodded his head as he looked down at her, "How's your head?"
"Like it was hit over and over again on the concrete." Sadie spoke as she tucked her face into his neck, "This makes me sad, I wanna be out there."
"Aw, I know." Demetri said, feeling slightly selfish for enjoying how clingy she was being, "But at least if one of you gets the shit kicked out of you, i'll still have the other."
Sadie sat up and looked at him in disbelief. Demetri gave a apologetic look, "Too soon?"
Sadie went to speak up before her phone buzzed in her pocket. As she dug it out, Demetri leaned on her to look down at it, "You stay have his name saved as Sexy Sensei?"
"Aw, i'll change it." Sadie said as she stood up, holding out her hand, "Come on, he needs me."
"I have to come?" Demetri whined as he took Sadies hand, walking down the steps with her. They passed Sam and Daniel on the way, Amanda and Anthony not far behind. Sam stared at Sadie a moment once their eyes met, giving her a small smile.
Sadie only looked away and continued through the halls until she made it toward the changed section, Demetri not close behind.
"Wow, nerd free area." Johnny said as he set his eyes on Demetri, "Hang on, are you the kid that-"
"Hes with me." Sadie defended Demetri quickly with a nod, "And before you say it, i'm not leaving. The doctor cleared me and I came to show my support for my t-"
"You wanna fight?" Johnny asked her, cutting Sadie off.
"What?" the girl asked with a gapping look.
"Doughs puking his guts up in the bathroom, food poisoning I think." Sensei spoke as he held the black and yellow gi in his hands, "We're down a cobra."
"So i'm back in by default?" Sadie asked with a slightly offended look.
"Cmon, Fangs." Sensei rolled his eyes, "You know I wanted you out there, you're one of the strongest we've got. I was just trying to play a good role model, follow the Doc's orders."
"Which still stand." Demetri announced as the pair looked back at him, "She can't fight, she'll puke!"
"I can take nausea medicine." Sadie spoke quickly as she looked up at her sensei, "And headache, everything else is fine."
"You'll get a brain injury." Demetri said in disbelief as he pulled her arm.
"I won't get a brain injury, i'll just have a huge headache after." Sadie spoke up, giving Johnny a look as she pulled Demetri to the side, "Meaning i'm gonna have to lay around a few days, eat soup, watching Harry Potter. Hawk will go to practice without me a few days."
"Exactly!" Demetri said with a insane look across his face.
"Meaning you'll have to take care of me!" Sadie said, hitting his arm with a stupid look, "It'll be fun."
"I'm not good with puke!" Demetri said as Sadie gave him a huff, "Just... low impact maybe?"
"Sure." Sadie nodded, though she knew she wouldn't, "Go on now, go on."
Demetri huffed as Sadie rushed him out of the changing room, making sure to lecture her on the way out.
"Okay, how many figures are up?" Sensei asked as the team stood outings of the doors, his hand infront of Sadie.
"Four." she nodded confidently.
"Two." he corrected her, "Say two."
"Two." Sadie spoke back quickly.
"All right, you're good!" he nodded, hitting her on the back. Hawk rubbed Sadies shoulders as she grinned, "Make sure they don't let you see you bite anyone."
"No one will see." Sadie nodded, grinning as her sharpened teeth bared to him.
Each dojo began being announced, the announcer welcoming them all with hyped voices and cheers from the crowd. Sensei had brought the new gi's for each of the team members, making sure to bring Sadies as well. She thought she looked good in it, better then anyone else anyways.
"From Reseda, returning to the tournament, we have-" the announcer began, Johnny gave them the wave of his hand that had been their que to jog out, staying in a strikt row, one after the other.
"Cobra kai! Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai!" they all chanted on sync, Miguel leading with Hawk close behind, Sadie, then Aisha and the rest of them. The crowed cheered for each of them, their entrance better and surely more intimidating then the rest had been, "Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai!"
"Now that's what I call an entrance!" the announced hollared with a laugh. Sadie broke character a moment to smile out toward Demetri, hoping Sensei hadn't noticed. Sam watched her from the crowd, biting back a minor grin as Sadie tried to keep a straight face, "And a badass name for a dojo! Let's hear it for Cobra Kai!"
Sadie and Hawk shared a wide eyed grin as the stands cheered for their dojo, knocking knuckles on the low.
"And finally, fighting unaffiliated from North Hills, we have Mr. Robby Keene!" the announced spoke the last boys name, Sadie looked over and found Robby running out with his hair tied back. She glanced toward Sam, who didn't seemed to want to look at him, her, or Miguel for that matter.
"All right, Folks, get ready." the announcer nodded his head as the lights narrowed a moment. Sadie wrapped her hand around Hawks, giving it a squeeze as he did the same back, "It's karate time."
"Cmon, Miguel! Show him who's boss around here!" Sadie yelled as Miguel was the first to take the mat. Hawk cheered alongside her.
"Are you sure that's Sadie?" Amanda asked Sam. She'd remembered Sadie to be wild, yet so calm and collective. The girl she saw on the mat was violent, loud, and had danger laced within her eyes.
"Yup." Sam said with a long sigh, "She shouldn't be out there, she has a concussion."
Sensei whispered something to Miguel before he bowed to the boy across from him then the respectable man with the flag. Miguel took a crane like position, wobbling slightly before the flag drew between the two. Before the other boy had the chance to even attack him, Miguel foot collided harsh to his face.
Sadie cheered alongside the rest of the team, shaking Miguel violently when be returned to their line.
Aisha was the next to preform for Cobra Kai, fighting with a boy from San Diego. He was quick, it was clear he took a lot of pride in it too. Though Aisha wasn't nearly as fast as he was, she was stronger and used her head more. With a grab of the arm and a sweep of the leg, she earned them a point once again.
"Cmon, baby!" Sadie yelled as Hawks turn came up, slapping Bert in the back of the head and encouraging him to cheer on the blue haired boy. Sadie gave a whistle as she clapped, watching as they took the bow before the defense went back and forth a moment. Sadie gnawed on her lip when Hawks rival gave a hard kick to his chest, making him stumble. Sadies eyes widened before the blue haired boy charged forward and got him hard in the face.
She cheered again, pumping her fist in the air and ignoring the minor headache that began once more. Eli began yelling along with the crowd, pumping his fist in the air. Sadies grin fell as she watched with a odd look, staring as he ripping off the top half of his gi and turned around, moving his shoulder to make it look like the wings on his back were flapping.
"Oh my god." Sadie said as she looked away with a snort, "I'm humiliated."
"He's insane." Aisha laughed alongside her as Sadie began to cry from laughing so hard.
"Go Sadie!" Demetri yelled as Sadie got up on the mat next, her team cheering behind her. Sam was holding her breath, scooting to the edge of her seat as her fist balled up. Amanda grinned over at her slightly before moving her eyes back toward Sadie who bowed to her component.
"Get him, Fangs!" Sensei yelled for her as the flag was removed.
Sadie struck first, swinging her fist and missing. She ducked down as his arm flew above her, coming so hard that he turned. Sadie kicked the boy hard in the side, his leg coming around as well and kicking her hard in the ribs. Sadie groaned in slight pain as she stumbled, jaw clinching as she went to swing her leg obviously, having the boy block it. Sadie had done it on purpose, distracting him enough to spin around on her legs and round house kick him in the face.
The crowd cheered loudly as the boy hit the mat. Sam clapped as she stood up, forget what she was doing as she cheered loudly for Sadie who was smiling brightly over at her teammates. They all welcomed her with a large hug, cheering her on. Sensei Lawrence's eyed her a moment, noticing how she swallowed hard with a look of disgust and stumbled slightly.
"Fangs." he said to her with a knowing look, "Are you good?"
"Fine, Sensei." she said, shutting her mouth right after. He nodded for her to head off the the bathroom, Sadie ran quickly as she felt the small breakfast she had in her throat.
Sam followed close behind her.
