The light of the sun is bright

Breaking through the night

The moonlight I miss

But the sunlight is bliss

Truly a spectacular sight.

And here on the tree stump

How can anyone be a grump?

I will write

What the sun looked like

And how the wings above go thump

The bright flames flickering high

Rising through the deep blue sky

Cresting over trees of dark green

It is quite a scene

And I watch the sun, bright against my eye
