A snow fell. 

Silence. 

then, a flash. the blanket of snow was interrupted. 

a wolf. 

a mother.

 she carried her pups as she ran. the pups whimpered. 

"shh." she murmured. she ran again. 

trying to find something.

a great willow tree loomed above her. 

she set her pups down, licking them warm, and ushering them into it. 

"You will have a better live here, little ones." she said, turning away, heart broken. She looked up at the stars that twinkled above. 

"I am not scared of you ----!" the name she had called was covered up by a gust of wind.
