In Laura's mansion.

Alex stormed inside the mansion. He looked at Laura who is busy looking at the files.

Laura, "What happened?".

"How come you didn't tell me anything about this?", Alexander.

"What?", Laura.

"The new COO.", Alex.

"You won't be accepting if I told you earlier.", Laura.

"Shouldn't you have informed about this?", Alex.

"I am so sorry that I did it without asking for your opinion. But please just for few months. Do it for me. I can't find anyone trustworthy other than you.", Laura.

Alex sighed. "Okay only for few months."

"And about Derrick Wilson. Steve has been meeting him to get him sign with us. Derrick is a very good actor. If we get to sign with us, we will be having huge chance to show the world who we really are. So take care of it.", Laura.

"Okay. I will ask Steve about this. But are you sure he will be signing with us?", Alex said taking a seat.

"There is some thing going on inside the company and Derrick is not okay with that. There is a rumor that he don't wish to sign again with Smith's. If he don't want to continue with smith's , we will be having chance.", Laura.

"We need him, Alex. We have just started REN. But with Derrick we will have huge recognition and reputations with respect in the field. So do whatever to make him sign with us.", Laura said again.

'It seems so important. Since laura is saying again and again.', Alexander thought.

A week left by. Amaya come down yawning and saw both her mom and dad are watching TV. She sat aside them and started to watch.

"Mom, Do you know Derick Wilson?", Amaya asked Ava.

"The ACTOR DERICK!!", Ava became excited and Amaya confusingly nodded her head.

"Oh, Amy Your mother is a huge fan of him since his first movie.", Stephen said feeling annoyed.

"Of course I am. He is so handsome and he acts putting his soul into his acting.", Ava said defending.

"I am handsome too when I was young", Stephen.

"What happened to now?", Ava questioned.

"I am still handsome too", Stephen said angrily and left to his room. Both Amaya and Ava laughed at him.

" But those wrinkles are more handsome. Leave him out Amy. There is rumor going on that this time Derick won't be renewing his contract with Smith. Is that true?", Ava asked.

"Rumors already started to spread. That's not true mom.", Amaya said.

"I hope it is not. But if that happens it will be a huge loss for Smiths.", Ava.

"Is he that much good?", Amaya asked her doubtfully.

"What kind of question is that, Amy? I will tell you all about him.", Ava.

For the next 2 to 3 hours Ava said all about him from his birth to how he started his career and how he became the star, she even gave the list of movies and dramas he had acted.

She had already watched half of his works in last week. But from what her mom said , it seemed like she had missed out few of his best ones.

She spent remaining four days watching all his works. She pulled all night and even faked for illness for this to Aiden.

She came down with a pink floral off shoulder top ,white wide- leg pant and a pink sneakers and she paired with two layered Rolo Chain with butterfly and flower gold chains and a gold hoop earrings for ears. She had a minimal make up

"Where are you going all dolled up?", Ava asked looking at Amaya.

"You look gorgeous, My lady.", Stephen said smiling at her

"Thanks dad. Just a important meeting.", Amaya said eating the sandwich.

"Where is William?", Amaya asked after eating.

"He left early.", Stephen.

"Dad , Aren't you late?", Amaya asked.

"OH! No I am taking a day off. Me and your mom is going on date today so we will be late.", Stephen said all smiling.

"Well ENJOY!", Amaya said teasing at her parents

"See you later mom. Bye dad", Amaya left grabbing her bike key.

She drove towards her office.

She entered saying hi to Brad who is busy typing the reports.

She went to Aiden's room.

"May I come in?", Amaya knocked before entering.

"Come. Amaya What a surprise. I thought you are terminally ill that's what uncle and aunt said.", Aiden asked mockingly.

"Of course I am. Look at my eyes , they are blood shot and I even have dark circles.", Amaya said showing him her eyes.

"Where were you? I know that's not true.", Aiden.

"Ah! Did you forgot about Mr. Derick? I have some work to do about it that's why I took some days off. Don't be grumpy, Mr. Aiden. It's just 3 or 4 days.", Amaya said not looking at Aiden.

"And I need some help about him.", Amaya.

"I thought you won't ask for any help.", Aiden.

"Oh! COME ON DUDE! If I get to sign him again with this company, don't you think you will benefit most.", Amaya said looking at him.

"Okay what do you want?", Aiden.

"Get me to work with Derick.", Amaya.

"What? All of the sudden.. don't you think the people will suspect?", Aiden.

"Don't worry about that. You know I have first joined here as an intern... So everyone thinks I am just a employee here. Just give me transfer of department... It will be more better if I get to be the assistant of the manager.", Amaya said playing with the pen.

"Why do you want to work with him?", Aiden asked.

"OH! If I went directly to him and said, 'We are really hoping you to sign again with our company.' DO you think he will listen? But if he can trust me, then he will at least think about it. Plus I can also find out why he is reluctant to sign with us.", Amaya.

Aiden smiled at victory, "Now I am glad that I thought you something good. I will talk about it with his manager."

"Mmmm. What about the new COO of Ren entertainment?", Amaya asked.

"Well at this moment it seems like he is busy with the internal affairs of the company.", Aiden.

"I told ya... didn't I? Now it is not important who approached him first, what matters is with whom he is gonna sign.", Amaya said walking towards the door.

"Break a leg. You can leave to China town now. I will tell them about that.", Aiden said waving his hand.

After half an hour she reached the destination.

"Oh! What a climate. I thought today is gonna be sunny.", Amaya said removing her helmet.

She called Joey, the manager of Derick. After 10 mins , he came towards her. A 34- year old man in black pant, white stripped shirt.

"OH you are the new assistant.", Joey.

"Yes. I am Amy Watson.", Amaya.

"Okay. Usually we don't hire like this. But the previous one took a very long leave and since you are recommend by Jackson I hope you do well.", Joey

Jackson is the one of the executives of Smith entertainments.

"I am Joe Davis. Here every one calls me Joey.", Joey said handing over her temporary card.

"This is for identity purpose. Here we face a lot of issues because of the fans and come with me the shooting is about to start.", Joey said walking further.

Amaya followed behind him.

Soon she saw the shooting which is happening in outdoor coffee shop. Twenty to thirty people are taking care of few things like lighting, microphone, few touch-up people like hair stylist and for make-up are standing by the side and in the middle she saw the cameraman shooting and director sitting by the side supervising the scene.

The scene is going and it is about to end. Amaya stood by the side of the crowd. She couldn't see the man's face and she could only see a middle aged artist sitting across to him. It is a scene where the male lead gets to know about his real mom and he meets the one he has been searching for years.

"Do you think I have came here to meet you to live with you?", the mom character asked.

"I have come here since your adopt father begged me to meet you at least for once.", she continued and got up.

"Don't leave !", the man wearing a long black trench coat held the woman hand.

"Stop it. You have lived without me for 25 years, it will be easy for you to continue living like that.", She said and left.

The director cut the shot after taking a long shot of the male lead looking the disappearing figure of his real mom.

"CUT!", the director shouted. Everyone thanked and dispersed.

"Amazing, Derick you can rest. The remaining shots are outdoor only. So get prepared.", the director said. 

Derick thanked the director and rest of the artists and workers. Derick looked for his manager who just left. After a while he looked at Amaya, who stood by the side. Amaya finally got to see him for real. Derick is born to American and Korean parents. After his birth, the family settled down in USA. And he continued his acting career here. Derick has this beautiful jawline from his Korean genes. He looked so handsome and with the fluffy and long hair made him even more beautiful.

Amaya now understood that why most of the girls are swooning over him. She felt a nudge in her arms.

"What are you doing here? Go and bring a water bottle and a wet towel.", Joey said and walked over Derick who sat under the shadow of a tree on the chair. Amaya quickly went to grab it and after few minutes she returned back.

She gave it to Derick. Derick looked confused.

"Ah! She is Amy. New assistant. She will be working from today.", Joey introduced her.

Amaya smiled at him and said, "I will do my best Mr. Wilson.".

"Oh! Okay, Amy.", Derrick.

Derrick nodded his head with a smile and got water and the wet towel.

Derrick acted few more scenes in next 3 hours. Amaya watched it together with Joey. After that Derrick left to have his lunch in his caravan. Joey left after him and served his lunch and came back.

Joey and Amaya ate together.

" How is the work?", Joey.

" I am getting used to it. Pretty good actually. Watching the scenes live and getting to see the actors.", Amaya replied.

" I hope you enjoy it.", Joey.

" but what's the role Derrick is playing as? I couldn't understand since the first scene.", Amaya.

" it is about a man who gets adopted by an American businessman and his struggle in growing up in another country. He realizes he is adopted after a few years. Soon the father and son relationship gets estranged. In his teen he wants to find his birth mother. He finds her and the issues with her. In between he falls in love with his best friend who helps to find her. And he will soon realize his father's love a happy ending. ",Joey.

" but why does she not want to live with him?", Amaya.

" you know director Wang. He will not reveal it till the end of the story.", Joey .
