"Sir! The Imperials are breaking down the border!" 

"Gather up, men! We have a war to fight!"

Everyone rushed to get out of the building and fight off the invaders. Harrold pushed past Benjamin, and went to the front of their lines. The fighting began.

The Mandalorians began shooting down the Stormtroopers, but their numbers were depleting fast, luckily for them, the rebels had readied themselves and were coming to their aide. Benjamin had taken a spot high up in the bell tower of a church, and with his sniper, began shooting down as many troops as he could. Roxy was with Rex and Ahsoka on the front lines, seeing as they were some of the most experienced fighters. Roxy, unaware that she was about to be shot at, kept fighting, Benjamin was the threat and shot the trooper to her left. She jumped, then looked to Benjamin and nodded. 

Rex didn't let the action go unnoticed, he had noticed them exchanging looks recently, and he knew all too well what that meant. He would have a talk with Roxy later.

Benjamin's father was taking on more than he could handle, that was just like him, thought Ben. He was overwhelmed with how many of his friends, and now family members, he had to protect, but now wasn't the time to panic, he continued shooting any of the troops that got too close to his friends. He spotted a few fuel barrels clone to the Imperial ship. He shot the barrel closest to the ship, and it exploded, it set off a chain reaction, the ships, and everyone aboard them, were destroyed and dead.

The rebels, with this advantage, advanced with the River Clan, and took care of the last of the Stormtroopers. Once they were all gone, they went to save the members of their clan that had been taken hostage. Harrold had taken lead again, and as he approached one of the houses, he was shot. Benjamin turned and shot the troop that had fired the bullet. 

He ran to his father, why? He owed this man nothing, this man was awful to him his entire life, why did he feel this loyalty to him? Because he's family, and he deserves a chance. 

"Dad!" He yelled, there was an ambush of a small squad of death troopers, Benjamin was the only near his father, and the only one to take on these enemies. He took out his pistol and shot down three of them, then his pistol jammed, "Shit!".

He took out his knife and used what he learned as an assassin to take down the four others, slitting throats, taking them out at the knees, whatever he had to, he came out of it unscratched, except for the actual scratch on his face from some debree.

His father had watched it all from his spot on the ground. "Dad are you alright?" Benjamin asked, "I'm fine, it's only my leg, I'll live." He replied a little coldly. Benjamin gritted his teeth, and helped his father up, and helped him to walk out of the building. The rebels had taken care of the last few scragglers, and the rest of the townsfolk were safe.

"Where's Roxy" Benjamin asked, "I'm here" she said, out of breath, sweaty and a bit bloody. She had a few cuts and bruises on her face, and a couple bullet grazes on her arms and legs. "Get in a fist fight without me?" "Maybe." She shrugged and helped him with his father. 

They took Harrold to the med bay in the base, there were rebels and mandalorians alike, being fixed up, and helping each other. Roxy shoved Benjamin a bit, he knew what it meant, while she stepped out to talk to Rex, Benjamin went back to his father. 

"Dad I-" "Let me stop you there, I know what you're gonna say, I was a lousy father, and I never treated you right and I don't deserve your forgiveness." "Actually I was going to apologize for cursing you out in front of everyone, though I meant what I said, you do deserve my forgiveness. You're still my father, and mom found a way to look past all your flaws, maybe I can." Benjamin said.

"You shouldn't have to, I should have learned to work on my flaws and fix the bad things about myself. I'm sorry, sorry for pushing you away, for being the way I was to you, for kicking you out. It wasn't right, you're my son, my own flesh and blood. Though you're nothing like me, you were always just like your mother, and after she passed, all I saw was her in you, and I was grieving and I didn't want to see that. So I tried to make you more like me. I'm sorry." said Harrold. 

Benjamin blinked away his tears and nodded with a small smile, "I'm sorry too, I forgive you dad." 

"Thanks for saving my life, you must have been one hell of an assassin, we could always use one those here, you know.." His father trailed off, "I was good, still got it too, but that's one portion of my life I'd like to forget, and I know you'd like me to stay here, but I can't..."

He looked back at Roxy who was discussing something with Rex, "It's that girl, isn't it? She's a spitfire, perfect for you. And she's beautiful too, just like your mother." Harrold said, a playful smirk on his face. "Yeah, it is her, she saved my life, a few times now, and I can't leave her behind, and she can't leave her family."

"I'm proud of you son."

Benjamin's breath hitched in his throat, he rushed forward and hugged Harrold. "Whoa, ok, ok. It's alright son." He hugged him back. "I will come back to visit you, when I can." Ben said as he pulled away, Harrold nodded and smiled. "Go back with your family, and keep making me proud son." Benjamin took a deep breath and walked out to Roxy.

*While Benjamin and his Father reunited, Rex and Roxy had this conversation:*

Roxy walked out to give Benjamin and his father some privacy, she was Rex waiting for her. "Hey." "Hey..." 

"Something wrong, Vod?" "No, well actually...no. Yes, ok something's been bothering me for a while now." "Alright, lay it on me, maybe I can help?" Roxy asked, "No, because you're part of the problem..." "Excuse me?".

"Lately, I've noticed you and Benjamin giving each other looks, and leaving your hands on each other for longer then needed, and I know those moves, it was the same for me and Ahsoka when we had to sneak around during the days in the GAR. I just need to know if there's something going on between you two, and don't lie." Rex demanded, Roxy took a deep breath and looked back at Benny.

"Yes, ever since I saved him from being tortured and after he saved me from falling, when we got back on the ship we had ended up kissing, and then we've been secretly dating since then, I didn't want anyone to know because it's not their business, and I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings but I knew you'd get all big brotherly and all that, we just didn't want people breathing down our necks and wanting to know every aspect of our personal lives, we're both wanted criminals for force's sake!" Roxy went on, Rex sighed. "Since you got back huh?  That's almost ten months...you guys never..?-" 

"Rex!" "What? I just want to make sure he's treating you right, and not just using you!" 

"Trust me, he loves me, and I love him. I've never felt this way about anyone in all my years, he's helped me through a lot lately." she replied. Rex smiled, "I'm happy for you, kid. After everything you've been through, you deserve the happiness that a significant other brings." he hugged her.

Benjamin walked out, Roxy took his hand, and pulled him towards her and kissed him. He squeaked in surprise but gave in and deepened the kiss a little, "Alright love birds! Just because I'm okay with this, doesn't mean I wanna see you two getting all lovey-dovey and touching all the time!" Rex said, Roxy chuckled, and bit her lip. Benjamin looked to Rex, "You hurt her, and I'll kill you." He said with nothing but seriousness in his voice. 

"Rex, I would never lay a finger on her in any harmful way. I'd die before I did."

Rex made a gagging sound, and Roxy laughed.

They stayed an extra day, and Harrold saw them off. They were back on their ships and headed home. Roxy and Benjamin finally moved into one room together instead of sneaking around, no one asked about it. Probably because they were afraid of Roxy and Benjamin, seeing as that they were both ex.GAR or an assassin. 

Roxy and Benjamin lay next to each other in bed that night, "I'm happy I was my father again, he's changed and I feel like I got the closure I needed. I can only hope I'll be a good father some day..." He trailed off, thinking of his and Roxy's future. 

"Yeah.." Roxy replied, a twinge of worry in her features, Benjamin leaned over and kissed her, making his way down her jawline, kissing away her worries. Roxy smiled.
