Old Memories
Roxy's POV.
So I've told a lot about my shitty past, every sad thing, about my depression, other mental issues and times in my life where I wanted to give up. I've talked about about my pain, and my sorrows. I think it's finally time I talk about something a little happier. Like my first Christmas, or Birthday with the guys, so let's get into it, shall we?
(End of POV)
"Shh, you'll wake her..."
"You're stepping on my foot!"
"Fives, quit breathing on me"
"Guys, quiet!"
Roxy's eyes opened, she turned to see Rex, Fives, Echo and Kix sneaking around in her room.
"Mind if I ask what the hell you're all doing?" She snapped, their heads all turned, "Uh, well. This isn't how it was supposed to go, but uh...Happy Birthday!" Rex said, an awkward smile on his face.
Birthday? How did they figure that out?
"We checked your birth records, I know it seems creepy, but we don't really have birthday's and this seemed like something to celebrate with you so you can, I dunno, bond with us more?" Kix said cheekily.
Roxy had only been training with them for a few months, she still had a lot to learn and a lot more of the men to meet, but they all seemed to welcome her with open arms, like a sister.
"I've never really had a real birthday..." she trailed off, "Well, we've never celebrated one, so we'll do this all together!" Rex chimed in, she smiled a bit and hopped out of bed, "Ok, where do we start?"
"Breakfast!" Fives shouted, holding a hand up to Echo for a high-five, which Echo pushed away and rolled his eyes. Roxy smiled and followed them to the kitchens, and they began making food, pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, and toast. Basically all breakfast foods.
Roxy sat on the counter and just watched the guys try to cook, it was hysterical really. But when Cody came in, noticing it was too quiet, he decided to help. And to everyone's surprise, he could actually cook!
"Happy Birthday, Roxy" He said as he placed a plate down in front of her, her eyes lit up, "I've never seen this much food on a plate in my life! Thank you!" She beamed. They all made a plate and ate with the young girl, laughing and joking.
Once they finished with food, they began cleaning up their plates, washing and putting away. After that they headed to the living room where they had a few gifts for Roxy.
When she saw the poorly wrapped gifts, she nearly teared up, they showed her so much kindness, even if it were a small amount in their opinion, it meant the world to Roxy.
"Here, open mine first!" Kix stated, pushing the small box towards her. She tore the wrapping, and opened the box, revealing a beautiful small dagger. "Just in case in battle or something, you never know." said Kix, Roxy smiled and hugged him. "Thank you."
She opened a reg manual from Cody, and Echo and Fives had pitched together and gotten her some paints for decorating her room or armor, whatever she wanted.
The last gift was from Rex, "It's not much, I didn't have enough time but I hope you like it." He told her, handing it to her gently. She opened it, and it was a photo of her with the guys playing poker, from the first night she had spent in the base after the...incident.
She studied the picture carefully, she was smiling in the photo, that was the first time she had smiled in...years probably. Roxy began to tear up. "Thank you!" She hugged Rex tightly. He hugged her back, albeit a bit awkward, then he tightened his grip on her.
This was the day Roxy decided that these clones, no these men, were her brothers. Her new family. "Alright. Enough with the sappy shit, let's have some cake!" Fives interrupted and Roxy laughed, wiping her eyes.
Cody had baked a small cake, enough for the six of them. They put 14 candles in it, and began singing, Roxy hid her face from embarrassment, and then blew out the candles when Echo told her to make a wish.
'I just want to stay like this...happy with my brothers...'
Then they shared some cake and more stories with the girl, the cake was delicious, chocolate with a creamy chocolate frosting.
They spent the rest of the day with Roxy, doing whatever she wanted, such as drawing, playing cards and then even hide-and-go-seek! They all had one of the best days of their lives. Roxy especially.
When night rolled around Rex walked Roxy to her room, and began tucking her in. He turned to leave when she stopped him, "Rex." he turned, "Thank you. I mean it, I've never had a real birthday, not that I remember at least. No one's ever gone put of their way to make me anything or buy me something meaningful, no one's ever shown me this much kindness." She began to cry.
"Hey, hey no need to cry."
"Happy tears..." She mumbled as he hugged her tightly.
"You're welcome, we're all a family here, and we treat each other as such." Rex said, slowly letting her out of his grasp.
Roxy wiped her tears and Rex stood up from his kneeling position, "This whole day meant the world to me, I haven't felt this happy since...well ever. Thank you."
Rex smiled and patted her head, "Get some sleep, Vod'ika, we got a lot of training tomorrow." She nodded with a small smile and laid her head down on the soft pillow. "Goodnight Rex." "Night, Kid."
*That was one of the best days of my life, yes I had a lot with the guys and Ahsoka, but that day was special to me, my first real birthday with my family. Every birthday after that could never compare, though they were fun until a certain point, that one's my favorite.
Now we also once started a giant prank war, that resulted in the Council having a talk with all of us involved! That was a good day. *
"You have got to be kidding me!"
"What's wrong, Echo?"
"Fives took my krifing book again, he never leaves my stuff alone!"
"Just take something of his, or get him back so he won't touch it anymore." Roxy shrugged, not taking her eyes away from the datapad in front of her. She was playing a game, naturally.
Echo thought for a moment, and ran off.
The next day five came into the Gym, screaming for Echo. Roxy turned her head and saw Fives, who once had black hair, now had bright orange hair! Everyone burst out laughing, "Echo you son of a charrak!!" Echo ran for his life down the halls of the barracks.
This resulted in the two pranking each other back and fourth until they got the captain involved. Fives had decided it was a good idea to put laxatives in what he thought was Echo's caf, it wasn't his. He watched in horror as his captain took a sip of the caf as he read the paper. A few sips later, Rex's eyes went wide and he ran off. Fives laughed as he did, he knew he was is trouble but seeing the captain clench himself and try to run to the bathroom was just too funny.
"What did you do?" asked Roxy, "I uh, thought that was Echo's caf and uh.." "Oh no, fives you didn't do what I think you did...did you?"
"Yup, laxatives."
Roxy slapped her palm to her face, "He's gonna kill you! You will be literally killed dead, you moron!"
"Fives!!" bellowed Rex. Roxy swore Fives face drained of it's usual tan color. "Yes, sir?"
"You're going down, it's war now my friend." he growled, Roxy smirked, this should be fun.
So the next day, with the help of Roxy, Rex had made a perfect costume of Anakin, and Rex made Roxy pose as him. They walked into the mess hall, and began whispering to each other and pointing to Fives, he sat there looking horrified, had the captain told on him? No, he wouldn't sink that low. He would destroy him slowly on his own.
Roxy, who was dressed as, and had perfect makeup, thanks to Ahsoka, was the spitting image of General Skywalker and he began walking over to Fives, "So Fives, the Captain told me some interesting things that have been going on in here, supposedly you've started a prank war? In the middle of a real war? Must be pretty funny."
Fives eyes went wide, "Y-yes sir, but it was all in good fun, but I'll stop now."
'Anakin' smashed his fist on the table making Fives jump back and dump water on his crotch and everyone laughed. Roxy took off the wig and makeup and began laughing. Fives looked over to Rex who was doubled over. "Fine! This is how it's gonna be!? You're both going down, this is gonna be the biggest prank war we've had yet! You wait captain, you too ya little shit!" He pointed to Roxy who was crying with laughter.
Jesse took a picture of Fives with his soiled pants, "Blackmail!" He fist pumped.
Over the next few days the men had either been pelted with paint balloons, had shaving cream smeared all over them, Roxy even put one of her bras on Kix and took pictures of him. He was red in the face and hid in the med-bay. At one point Rex, Roxy and Echo teamed up on Fives and redecorated his room, they put photoshopped pictures of Obi-wan on the walls, and filled his mattress with woopiecushions. The noise was heard all across the base, and Roxy had taken a video.
What Fives did next was only slightly over the line. He snuck into each of their rooms. He put photos of Yoda's butt in all Echo's books, painted dicks on the captains armor, and then what he did to Roxy would never be forgotten, he shaved the portion of her hair. The left side from the part in her hair to behind her ear only, nothing too drastic.
Unfortunately the next day when they all awoke, the Generals were all there for an inspection. When the three came running out to meet them, the Jedi were bewildered and Fives was laughing his ass off. "Fives you mother fucker! Yoda's ass is all over my books!"
"Really? You painted dicks all over my new armor? How sick are you!?"
"My fucking hair! You're lucky I can rock this but what the fuck!?"
They all turned to see the Jedi.
Oh shit.
They all saluted, and the Jedi just eyed each other.
"I'm sure this started as harmless pranks but this has to stop, you can still have fun and do this kind of stuff but don't go as far as to deface personal property or...hair." Obi-wan said slowly. Anakin had to keep himself from laughing as they went over everything they had done and requested that they give him one of the photos of Obi-wan as blackmail.
Later that evening they all sat down to watch the bolo-ball match. "Sorry about your hair Roxy." Fives said, "Eh, it's alright, I kinda like it if I'm being honest." She laughed.
Rex got a comm call from Ahsoka to walk outside and look at the nearest billboard, and sure enough there was the photo of Obi-wan in a bikini, plastered all over the city, you could hear general Kenobi screaming for Anakin from miles away. The Soldiers just busted out laughing.
*These are just very few of the happy memories I had with the guys when we were all together in the GAR, those were the good days I tell ya. Yeah I'm happy now but, when we were a team, we were unstoppable. A well oiled machine of pranks and destruction. But anyways, maybe I can talk more about this, for now, Sergeant Roxy out.
