Some time had passed since the events of Umbaba, the men and Roxy still weren't the same, really they never would be. But the thoughts of Umbara were pushed to the backs of their minds when news of the temple being bombed spread, many clones were killed along with six Jedi Knights and some maintinence crew, and half of the place was destroyed. Everyone heard rumors about it being an inside job, that maybe it was a rouge Jedi? Roxy didn't want to believe it. 

Ahsoka and some Inspector guy had been investigating, while Roxy tried to wrap her head around everything that had happened, it was all too much, Umbara, now a temple bombing, what was the world coming too? Roxy walked to the Temple and found Anakin talking with Russo-ISC, some droid inspector guy, she didn't care about him, she just needed answers. "General...a word please?" She asked as she removed her helmet, Anakin nodded and walked away a few feet with her, "What's up Roxy?" he asked, she took a moment to gather her thoughts, "Was it really an inside job? A rouge Jedi?" She asked.

"We don't know for sure yet, Ahsoka is interrogating a suspect now, but we still have more suspects to talk with as well, so we won't know, for a while, I'm sorry." He answered, Roxy sighed and nodded, "What's wrong?" Anakin asked after he sensed her distress, "I just don't get it. Why bomb the Temple Hangar? Why do something this horrible?" She asked, distress written into her features, "I don't know, it's a horrible thing, I know, but some people just don't like what we're trying to do-" "People don't like that we risk our lives for them everyday!? They don't give a shit about us, they just don't want to have to hear about the war, they just want to play the blame game, and say it's he Jedi's fault!" She yelled. Anakin placed a hand on her shoulder.

"You can't blame the people, the only people to blame are the Sepratists." He said, Roxy ran a hand through her hair and nodded, "Go get some rest, we'll handle this." He told her. Roxy saluted and walked away, back to the Barracks, she opened the door and was greeted by Rex and the others, "Where've you been?" Rex asked, "I went to talk to the General about this bombing, I just don't get it, and I don't want to have to think about anything right now.." She replied. "I know kid, I know. But we'll find the bastard who did this and put 'em where they belong." Rex reassured her, "Yeah, six foot under in the cold ground." She mumbled through gritted teeth.

Rex had noticed she had changed a bit since Umbara, he took her into the other room and sat down with her, "What's wrong Roxy? You've been off since...y'know.." He started, "I just...this war is getting out of hand, Umbara made me realize that, Rex we killed our own Vod because we were told by a crooked Jedi that they were Umbarans, the Temple was bombed because someone's trying to send a message and show that we aren't as strong as we think we are. This war has gone on too long....I want it to end, I want to be happy again.." She trained off, Rex frowned, "Roxy, I want the war to end too, but I don't know what happens to us when the war ends, we might be frozen in carbonite until the next war." He started, "And I know Umbara was screwed up, I'm still not right after it, none of us are, but as long as we're all together, we can be happy." He finished.

(Time skip, Ahsoka is suspected as the bomber and is on the run*)

"I know Commander Tano, she would never do something like this!" Rex argued with Commander Fox, "Well, Guilty men don't run!" Fox shouted back, "Fox shut up!" Roxy yelled, "We know her better than your worthless ass, she's our friend, she was framed!" She finished her sentence, Fox scowled but didn't say anything, "Alright, you take the General and go that way, me and Rex will take this way!" She took charge and they ran off separate ways, they spotted Ahsoka by the plant, she was running along some pipes and went down into what Roxy assumed were the sewers. 

"Ahsoka!" She shouted, "Soka!" Rex yelled. They split up and cut her off, "I won't hesitate to kill you both, your just gonna take me back to the prison, I'm innocent!" Ahsoka pleaded, "Kid, I know you won't kill me, and we know your innocent." Rex said calmly, "Ahsoka, we're your best friends, we know you'd never do something like this, we know you were framed." Roxy added, Ahsoka sighed, "What about Anakin? Does he trust me? Does he believe me?" She asked, "Yes, he's with us, he believes you." Rex said.

"I don't know who would do this but I have to leave, I can't stay here, you guys have to let me go." Ahsoka pleaded, "Please, come with us Ahsoka, we can clear this up, we'll speak for you, we'll prove you innocent!" Roxy told her, "No, I can't, I ran, they'll think I'm guilty." She replied. Roxy let out a breath and looked around, "Have you found her?" Fox asked through Roxy's comm, "Sergeant! Have you found the escapee?" He asked again, "Gods sake Fox! She has a name, and no we haven't found her!" She yelled through the comm and turned to Ahsoka, "Ahsoka!" Anakin yelled, and ran towards them, Ahsoka backed off.

"Master, I'm sorry, I have to go, they all think I'm guilty." She said, she looked behind her and jumped onto a ship that was below her, Roxy, Rex and Anakin ran to the hole where she jumped and watched her get away. Rex and Roxy looked at each other, "Sir, should we go after he-" "No." Anakin said, "Let her go, she has to figure some things out, we'll just lie and say we never saw her." 

Rex and Roxy went to tell the other Jedi, "Find her, did you?" Yoda asked, "We never saw her, she was too quick." Rex lied, the Jedi nodded, and the two soldiers turned to leave, but Roxy stopped, "Generals, I mean no disrespect to any of you at all, but you're making a mistake, Ahsoka is innocent, I thought you'd all know that, being Jedi and all, but I was wrong, and the longer I fight in this war, the more I realize that it's almost pointless, almost..." She told them and left with a heavy weight on her shoulders.

(Time skip, Ahsoka is caught and put on trial*)

"Ahsoka Tano, how do you plead?" The Channcelor asked, She was about to answer when Roxy pushed past the guards and ran towards her, "She shouldn't even be on trial! She'c innocent, when will you mir'osiks have the commonsense to see that!? This is bullshit! She was framed!" She shouted, and all the senators gasped at Roxy's behavior, "Contain her!" The Channcelor yelled, Rex grabbed Roxy, "This isn't right! This senate is corrupt!" She yelled before Rex dragged her out of the room. 

"Are you insane!?" Rex scolded her like a child, "Your gonna raise suspicion about yourself! You'll get in trouble!" He yelled, Roxy fell to her knees, "I'm sorry...I just want to...fight for what's right. And this isn't right.." She cried out, "Ahsoka is innocent, we both know that! And why aren't we doing anything about it!?" She asked with tears streaming down her face, "Because we can't just go in there yelling about it! We're just a bunch of expendable soldiers used as pawns in a war that's bigger than anything we've ever seen. They're not gonna listen to us." Rex said.

Roxy thought about that word, Expendable. "We are not expendable". She replied, "They think we are.." He trailed off, and they heard something, Anakin yelling, he entered the room with...Barriss Offee? "I have the real culprit of the bombings! Padawan Barriss Offee!" He yelled, "Ahsoka Tano is innocent!" He added. Rex and Roxy rushed back into the room, and Barriss admitted to being guilty. She talked about how the war has become corrupt, and that the Jedi weren't peace keepers, but war makers.

A few clones took her away, and locked her in a cell, The Jedi took Ahsoka to the Council room and they apologized and said she could come back, Rex and Roxy stood outside the building waiting for her, to congratulate her. She walked out crying, and went right past them, Anakin ran after her, Rex watched with sadness in his eyes. "I'm sorry Master, but I'm not coming back.." She said, "Rex, Roxy, please talk her into staying.." Anakin pleaded as they approached him, "Ahsoka!" Roxy yelled and went to her, "Please, stay." She pleaded.

"It won;t be the same without you, kid." Rex said, Roxy could see him holding back tears, "I can't, They didn't trust me, and I can't trust myself." She said, tears slowly falling from her ocean blue eyes. "Please, respect my decision, and let me do this." said Ahsoka. Rex and Roxy looked to each other, tears threatening to fall, "I was...an honor..serving with you Commander.." Rex said, and they saluted her, she hugged them both, and waved a sorrowful goodbye. 

They watched her walk away, Roxy watched her best friend walk away from the order, Rex watched the woman he had deep feelings for, walk away from him. They slowly walked back to the Barracks in the dark, and it began to rain. They walked in, and the men knew, by the looks on their CO's faces, that their Commander and friend, had left. 

Rex walked to his room without a word, Roxy followed to make sure he was okay, "Rex? Can I come in?" She asked, she took the whine as an answer. She saw Rex crying, in all her years with him, she had never seen him cry, he broke down, and so did she, "It'll be okay Vod, we may see her again someday.." Roxy reassured her brother, "She's gone, forever, all because they wouldn't trust her, and listen to her, or you." He cried, they stayed there for a while, until Rex dried his eyes and told Roxy to go get some sleep.

Sleep was somewhat of a stranger to her nowadays, she laid in her bed, and thoughts ran through her brain like bullets whizzing from a blaster in battle. "this isn't right, she should have stayed, they should have trusted her, she was a Jedi. This is all such bullshit, this war is bullshit. No one will listen, I just want her to come back, for everything to be okay, I wanna be happy again, I want to live. I want people to listen to us too, to our story, maybe...maybe we are expendable.." those thoughts ran through her head, she got up, and went to see Jesse, "I have an idea for a tattoo." She said, "It's midnight Roxy, go to bed you look like shit.." He replied and threw a few cards down on a table.

"Just do it." She said, He nodded and he grabbed the needle and ink. She handed him the drawing. After he was done, she looked at it, a Raven sitting upon a skull with a ribbon of parchment with the word, Expendable on it. "We may be expendable, but we're strong and don't go down easy." She said to herself and went back to her room to admire the inked drawing on her forearm. she then painted the same thing on the back of her armor, and made it kind of their 'logo'. 

" We won't go down, not without a fight." She started, she then painted Ahsoka's face symblons on the inside of her helmet and on her wall, next to the scratch marks of the men they've lost, the brothers they've lost. "I will see you again someday, Commander."

A/N: I have the ideas fr the last two or three chapters, gonna be a bigger skip this next chapter, but it will be depressing like this one and really show more about Roxy's depression and Order 66 or the Siege...Well, enjoy!
