First of all, hey you guys and how are you all doing. I'm so sorry for not updating in a long time. I've been busy with uni and I really miss writing. So anyways, here's a story for today and I hope you enjoy it. Also, there are mentions of slight abuse and blood. Definitely angst. The character is suffering from Tourette's syndrome, so if you find this as a sensitive topic you may skip this chapter. I don't mind writing about it and I actually didn't know such syndrome existed before this. I did look it up and the syndrome is a condition in the nervous system where the person has no control over twitches, movements or sounds that they make. Most cases are among children but some do carry on to adulthood and may worsen.

The syndrome does not make them any less capable of doing normal things in life. The 'tics' from the syndrome is just part of their condition. Sadly in our human lives, people with Tourette's syndrome or anyone having even the smallest slightest difference are usually picked upon and it's sad that there are people who would belittle them. So anyways, on with the story.

I hope you guys enjoy this story, I think I kinda forgot my style of writing since its been a while since I wrote. ENJOY!!!

........................................

If it was one thing all clone troopers knew since their birth and creation, was that they needed to be the perfect soldier. Perfect in all ways, no flaws, no imperfections, no feelings or emotions. The Kaminoans, their creators, often sought to eliminate all possible divergent clones. The Kamonians stripped them of identity, gave them numbers instead of names. The clones were thought to conform to such norms in order to be the perfect clone. If they were a little rebellious, the Kaminoans would take it as a sign of bad or imperfect clones.

The saddest was the clones who were born with 'unwanted' traits, deformities and such. Usually under such situations, Jedi General Shaak Ti protected such clones from being used as test subjects by the Kaminoans. Lama Su never agreed with it, as did most of his people. As long as Shaak Ti was on the cloning facility all clones, perfect or not were protect and valued by the Jedi. However, they weren't so lucky when the Jedi was off-world.

Such as in the case of a particular trooper, CT-2114.

-------

Your left on Tipoca City to continue your study in cloning, a part of your Padawan Studies. Master Shaak Ti had gracefully allowed you to remain on Kamino to finish your studies on the particular subject, the latter was gone to tend to some council duties on Coruscant. Currently, you sit alone in a quiet corner in the mess hall.

Wordlessly you flip through the pages of a book: "Kaminoan Studies about Neurological Disorders". While you allow your mind to absorb as much knowledge as you can, you could not help but feel a pit growing deep in your stomach. Kamino is notoriously known to eliminate any and all defect clones. The longnecks want to keep their reputation of being perfect at all times and mistakes is not tolerated. Sighing, you decide to head up to your room for some rest.

Halfway walking to your room the alarms blared to life. The lacking presence of oppressive red light indicates that the city is not under attack. Stopping dead in your tracks, your eyes scan the hall and your ears pick up the sound of feet running down the halls. Two clone guards run down the hallway and slow down when they see you.

"Sir, have you seen a cadet running down this hall?" One guard asks. "Sorry, I haven't" You reply honestly. The guards then communicate through their comm channel. "The cadet is still missing and not on level 5. Continue the search. Stun him on sight." Your face scrunches in confusion, "Why are you hunting this cadet?" you asked worriedly.

"The cadet ran from the medical station, sir. He's a defect and must be brought in alive." With that, the two guards leave you and continue their search, leaving you to dwell on the situation. 'A defect clone?' you think in your mind. They want him alive, which only means that the Kaminoans need this cadet, and that's not a good thing.

Quickly piecing the puzzle together, you figured out that the Kaminoans want to run tests on the 'defect' cadet. Clutching your books tightly you sprint down the pristine white halls of Tipoca City. You're a Jedi of emphatic abilities which allows you to sense fear and worry. Using the Force you silently scan the building for a worried cadet. It is not too hard to find since the entire facility on Kamino is busy hunting one little frightened boy.

Well over 20 minutes pass and neither you nor the Kaminoans or the clone guards managed to find the cadet. You were about to give up but something told you to feel through the Force one more time. Suddenly you gasp and let out a breath you didn't know you were holding. A sharp ping enters your brain and a terrible nauseating feeling takes you over. It was the 'defect' cadet. The feeling was so strong meaning that the cadet must be close by. The guards and Kaminoan scientist still run around to find the cadet. You slowed down your pace and your eyes hone into one of the vents from a nearby storeroom. Slowing down your steps, you quietly entered the storeroom and clicked the lock in its place so no one can come in.

Your eyes shift to the vent above you. The lights of the room were turned off, shrouding you in darkness, not alerting the cadet. Quietly placing your books down, you hear the sniffles of a scared boy. Unfortunately, you weren't watching your footsteps so you bump into a drawer rather loudly. The boy's sniffles stop abruptly, you wince.

Before he could crawl away you begin to announce yourself. "Don't run! Please" you beg softly. You didn't hear shuffling so the boy was still in the room. "I-I'm here to help. My name is (y/n). I'm a Jedi."

The boy shuffles in the vent but not moving away. You hesitate to speak, not wanting to scare the boy. "I won't hurt you. I know you're in the vent. The guards and Kaminoans don't know where you are. I won't tell them." You whisper. The boy remains quiet for a while, then he finally speaks."Y-you won't hurt me?" Your heart clenches as his breaking voice. "I won't, I promise," you tell him in your softest voice. Another quiet moment passes then the boy finally accepts your help. "Can you help me down?"

Sighing in relief, you move to the vent as the boy begins to open it. Small brown eyes meet yours. "Hello." you offer him a wave then you reach your arms to carry him down. Placing him lightly on his feet, you check him over. "There. All fine." Oddly though, you find the cadet looking away from you as if he was scared of you. "Hey, you can look at me you know. I won't bite." You say and you crouch down to his height. Gently you cup the small boy's face and turn him to look at you. Tears trail down his cheeks leaving puffy red eyes. Worry immediately crawls in your bones. "What happened? Did they hurt you?" The boy does not answer you but you notice some twitches in his both of his hands. Gently you trail your hands to hold his. You tentatively rub your thumbs on his hand to calm him, but his twitches seem to appear on and off. In the silence, you turn his hands around and horror strikes you. Many puncture wounds and needle and knife marks scar his skin. Big red lines run across his hands and knuckles. Dried blood sticks onto hazard stitches. Some of his bigger wounds are not tended to.

Anger boils in you but you hold it in for the boy's sake. "Can you tell me what happened?" The boy looks as you pitifully and his lips begin to quiver. Your features soften. "You don't have to if you don't want to" You still hold his small hands in your own, the twitching still carrying on.

The boys gulps, "I- I'm a defect clone." You nod silently then help him to sit, you sit across him. Hands still locked together. "The K-Kaminoans call it Tourette's Syndrome. I hear them say it when they treat me. I cannot control the twitches in my hand. The Kaminoans try to fix me. But the twitches won't stop." He sadly looks at his hands that rest in yours.

"How do they treat you?" You ask but you fear the answer. You already figured that the term fix and treat were just cover by testing and experimenting, judging by the wounds on his hand.

"T-They cut my skin, and e-electrocute my hand a-and they p-p-prick my fingers a-and, a-and they-they..." He says between sobs and begins to cry silently. You feel your own eyes water and instinctively bring him into a hug, cradling his head as he buries his head on your chest. "It's so painful. T-they don't let me rest." His crying gets louder but you gently shush him so no one would hear you both. You let the boy cry until he calms. "Okay, look. I'm going to help you alright. I'm going to get you out of here." You released him from your hug momentarily.

"How are we going to get out?" He asks you. You think for a moment, then finally came up with an idea. "Do you trust me?" You ask him.

Ten minutes later, you and the boy managed to crawl to the docking bay to where your starfighter was. You decided that the Kaminoans will no longer have their fun with torturing the boy. You put your cloak on the boy and hid him. Together both of you crawl behind crates and boxes and sneak on your ship. One luckily thing is that since your a Jedi, no one would suspect you to run away with a boy. You contacted the Kaminoan docking port and informed them of your takeoff and they acknowledged. Once you clear the planet, you punch in the coordinates of Coruscant and jump into hyperspace to freedom.

In hyperspace, you turn to the boy. His hand twitches every now and then and he hides it in your cloak. You walk to him and kneel in front of his seat, smiling at him gently. "You don't have to be afraid of it." Your hands find his cold hands and you warm it up between yours. You watch the twitching, "Does it hurt?"

The boy shakes his head. "No. But my wound's hurt." You nod, then walk off to get a med-pack and return to him swiftly. "Where we are going, no one will hurt you again." You told him while cleaning his wounds. "There is a Jedi there called Shaak Ti. We can take care of you."

The boy stares at you unbelievably. "But, I'm a clone and my hands-"

"You are a human, a person." You look up to smile at him, he smiles shyly with you. "-and there is nothing wrong with your hands or you."

You put the med-pack aside and look at your dressing. "Do they still hurt?"

The boy shakes his head. "It's better." You chuckled and ruffle his hair. A little while later you and him sit in the cockpit and eat together. "You have a name?"

"CT-2114."

"Hmm. Not really a name. Can I suggest something?"

"Yeah."

"How about, Spyro?"

You watch in amusement as he scrunches his face cutely while he thinks. "What does it mean?"

"It means, spirit. Because I think, you are a very spirited person."

A smile creeps on his face. "I like it."

You nod satisfyingly. "Spyro it is. Nice to meet you." You extend your hand to officially greet him and he, Spyro gladly accepts. "I promise you, where we go, no one will hurt you. I'll take care of you, alright kiddo."

Spyro's smile widens and he finally gives you a toothy grin. "I trust you."

You make it to Coruscant and immediately meet Shaak Ti. You tell her everything that has happened and she quickly understands the urgency of the situation. Shaak Ti allows you to become Sypro's guardian and she officially takes you as her padawan to further secure Spyro's safety from the Kaminoans.

From then on, you and Spyro become an inseparable duo. He learned to cope with his twitches and that Tourette's syndrome would not hinder him from living like a normal human being. Spyro became one of the most well-accomplished Clone Commanders in the GAR and many clones deemed defective looked up to him, especially the cadets. While you, already a Jedi Knight at this point, stand by the ship and admire your best friend, your brother from afar. Ct-2114 was the most spirited person you've ever met.
