I was numb, in front of me laid many deceased younglings. Kids who hadn't even finished training yet and were on their way to become Padawans. I knew who did this and he was coming down the hall with a smirk, "Anakin, why?"I asked my voice cracking. I was in pain when the clones had shot me at the back of my leg. I wouldn't be able to hold on against a fight with him. The one who was my brother betrayed me and everything that had been worked for over the years.

"Anna they wanted power. Just like you do. I have to end you too before anything else." He said.

"Anakin do you hear yourself? What happened to my brother? The one who only cared about himself and his family." I asked. He looked down and drew his light saber. I sent Quinten the signal to leave the planet without me. This could be it now the end of me and my life.

"He saw the truth." Was all he said and launched at me. I moved out the way and drew my lightsabers. I had to end him or it would be me next. His eyes were not the color they were before. They were a amber gold now. My brother is gone replaced by a monster.

"What is that truth, Anakin?" I asked. The truth here was that he had been brainwashed.

"That no one is to be trusted. Not even you!"He yelled and came at me. We clashed sabers and I was being pushed down. I pushed him back with the force and he came at me again. I dodged and kicked him in the back. I started to step back feeling the anger radiating off  of him. It was nothing like I've felt before. Some clones came running and I saw they were from the 506th unit. My unit the ones who I watched grow as a team and more. They aimed at us and Anakin stepped back. A shot hit me and I fell. It was set to stun, I was still awake when Anakin picked me up gently and he started to walk. I closed my eyes, knowing that when I woke up I would be killed right away. I lost my brother to the dark side all because of a non existing fear.

Waking up I found myself on something soft. Sitting up I saw I was on a bed. I looked down and saw I was in a different attire. A Senate dress? Padmé's apartment? Only one way to find out. I walked to the door and opened it. Walking outside I saw Padmé sitting down looking in thought. Hearing my door close she glanced up and her eyes brightened.

"Anna are you alright? Anakin brought you here after the temple was secured." She said. They killed everyone then, even the younglings.

I looked at her and nodded, "I am but where is Anakin?" I asked. He had to die and before it was too late.

"He went to the Mustafar system to arrest the remaining separatist leaders. Anna why did the Jedi betray the Republic?" She asked me.

"We did not betray the Republic, we were attacked, Padmé. The Chancellor won't give up his emergency powers. He knew we were a danger to him so he decided to eradicate us." I said and sat down. Obi-Wan are you still alive?

Obi-Wan's POV

Arriving to the ship Senator Organa sent the coordinates to I got off the ship in hopes of seeing Anna here. Looking around I did not see her I did see Quinten with Zephrine and my heart fell. Did Anna not make it? I walked to Master Yoda and Senator Organa.

"How many other Jedi have managed to survive?" I asked.

"Heard from no one have we." Master Yoda said.

"I saw thousands of troops attack the Jedi temple. That's why I went looking for Yoda and Anna." Senator Organa said.

"Have we had any contact from the temple?" I asked.

"Received a coded retreat message we have." Yoda said.

"It requests all Jedi to return to the temple. It says the war is over."Organa explained.

"Then we must go back. If there are any stragglers, they will fall into the trap and be killed." I said. I needed to find Anna whether she was alive or dead, I needed to know.

"Suggest dismantling the coded signal, do you?" Yoda questioned.

"Yes Master. There is too much at stake." I said.

"I agree. And a little more knowledge might light our way." Master Yoda said. It was settled we were to return to Courscant.

"We're receiving a message from the chancellor's office, sir." The pilot said.

"Send it through." Senator Organa said.

"Yes, sir." The pilot said and played the message.

"Senator Organa the supreme chancellor requests your presence... at a special session of Congress." The chancellor's advisor said.

"I will be there." Senator Organa responded.

"He'll be expecting you." Transmission was cut and the senator looked at us, "Could be a trap." He said.

"I don't think so. The Chancellor will not be able to control the thousands of star systems... without keeping the Senate intact." I said.

"If a special session of congress there is, easier for us to enter the
Jedi temple it will be." Master Yoda said. I nodded in agreement perhaps Anna was still there fighting.

Anna's POV

I walked to the landing deck in a handmaiden attire. I was heading for a speeder my destination was the remains of the temple. I just hope someone survived this and has headed to the temple in hopes of saving lives. My lightsabers were hidden under the cloak I was wearing. I got on a speeder and headed to the temple. One way or another I have to find out how many people survived this attack.

Making my way inside I encounter some clones and I killed them before they had a chance. I walked to my room and changed back into my regular clothing. I walked down the hall to the Council chamber and stopped when I felt two presences in the temple. I followed the force to the security room on the east side of the temple and on the way I killed about twelve or so clones. Reaching it I saw Master Yoda standing there watching the security feedback.

"Master Skywalker, good to see well you are." Master Yoda said.

"Master it's good to see someone did survive this." I said and bowed. He turned and started to play the security footage. It was on the part where Anakin and I had been fighting. It showed that I had been hit by the lightsaber and fell down bleeding out when in reality I had been knocked out cold. You could see Anakin get down on his knees and move the hair that had fallen from my face. This never happened though, how long exactly did it take the clones to recalibrate this? "Master this was all recalibrated wasn't it?" I asked him.

"Yes undo this you will." He said. I nodded and got down to work on undoing everything they had done. When I finished on the terminal I headed back while Master Yoda was opening the holocron with all of our information. I'm guessing he was going to mark the ones who had joined the force dead. I walked to the place the terminal connected to and undid it all. My guard, for once in my life, was lowered and I felt hands wrap around my waist. I looked back and saw Obi-Wan who at the moment seemed to be having an internal battle with himself. I turned to him and hugged him burying my face in his chest. He hugged me back and I heard him inhale in relief.

"You know that it should take more than this to kill me, Obi-Wan." I whispered.

"I should know but obviously I don't know." Obi-Wan said. I giggled and turned around to keep on doing what I was supposed to Obi-Wan walked away from me and went to another terminal. When I finally finished I turned to look at Obi-Wan. Had Quinten made it to where I sent him to? Where they alright? What was going to happen now? Is the republic still a democracy or did it get made into a Galactic Senate?

Master Yoda walked in and Obi-Wan turned to him, "I have recalibrated the code, warning all surviving Jedi to stay away." Obi-Wan said, I walked over and put up a stronger security code to avoid any chance in the clones changing the message.

"For the clones... to discover the recalibration, a long time it will take." Master Yoda said. I finished tweaking with the terminal and closed it. Master Yoda walked out first and I followed with Kenobi behind me.

"Wait, Master. There is something I must know." Kenobi started. I froze he wanted to see the security footage. Obi-Wan walked over to the terminal.

"If into the security recordings you go, only pain you will find." Master Yoda started.

"I must know the truth, Master." Obi-Wan said. He started skipping through the footage and stopped where I was being attacked by the clones and to where I was running. Then the footage changed to when Anakin killed the younglings and minutes later I ran in only to cover my mouth and fall to the ground shaking in sobs and anger. It then changed to where I was fighting Anakin and dodging him and shots that were being fired until I had gotten hit. When I collapsed Anakin picked me up and walked away.

"It can't be. It can't be." Obi-Wan said. It then changed to where Darth Sidious was talking to Anakin, 'You have done well my new apprentice. Now Lord Vader go and bring peace to the Empire.' Obi-Wan reached over and stopped the feedback, "I can't watch any more."

"The truth is sometimes better to never be known, Obi-Wan." I said.

"Destroy the Sith we must." Master Yoda said.

I looked at him and stepped up, "I wish to be the one to end my brother, Master." I said as Obi-Wan walked over.

"No send us to kill the emperor. We will not kill Anakin." Obi-Wan said. I looked at him kind of offended but let it slide. Anakin to him was a brother now. It is hard to kill family but what must be done, should be done.

"To fight this Lord Sidious, strong enough you are not." Master Yoda said.

"He is like my brother, he is Anna's brother. I cannot do it." Obi-Wan said.

"Obi-Wan, Anakin has been twisted by the dark side." I said.

"The boy you trained, gone he is. Consumed by Darth Vader." Master Yoda finished for me. He continued to walk.

""We do not know where the emperor has sent him. I don't know where to look." Obi-Wan said sounding desperate.

"Use your feelings Obi-Wan, and find him you will." Master Yoda said and continued walking. I looked at Obi-Wan and walked after Master Yoda.

"Master," I started. He turned to look at me, "May the force be with you." I said.

"And with you too my old padawan." Master Yoda said. I nodded and waited for Obi-Wan. I knew this was hard for him, but it is even harder for me. The last one remaining from my family has to be killed now for the greater good of the galaxy.

Never had I imagined this happening had we refused to go to the temple or if we hadn't trained. It actually would've been better had we not left Tatoonie, but would I had ever ended with Obi-Wan, or even known him. When he came over I saw that he looked like he wanted to collapse. I walked over and hugged him, "Obi-Wan I know this hurts you as much as it hurts me, but this will bring us a step closer to peace. Even if we fail, it is a start." I said.

Obi-Wan held me to him and looked down at me, "I can't  go with this. How are you so calm with this Anna?" He asked.

"At first I wasn't, but going through with what I went through last night I realized one thing. Anakin is gone and there is nothing we can do to change it. He was actually willing to kill me but he held back. Almost as if he knew something I didn't." I said.

Obi-Wan looked down at me, "I figured you'd realize this quicker than any of us would but the force around you is balanced and very calm with a slight disturbance, Anna." Obi-Wan said. He paused and looked down at me smiling. Wait this sounds so familiar... It's the same thing I felt with Padme. I started to count the days since my last cycle and pieced it together. I was going to be a mother, and Obi-Wan a father. Gosh things come at such a bad timing, "Did you piece it together?" He asked with amusement in his voice.

"We're going to be parents, Obi-Wan." I said softly. He nodded and let me go.

"Do you think Padme knows where Anakin is at?" He asked me.

"Yes, she told me earlier but I'm afraid I might have the wrong planet." I said truthfully.

"No harm done in asking her." Obi-Wan said. I nodded and we headed out. I went to the speeder and he went to get a ship. I headed back to Padme's and walked back up to her apartment cloak covering my face, but no one paid attention to me which I was thankful for. Walking into the apartment she was sitting down trying to relax.

"Anna, did anyone survive?" She asked.

"Only two that I know of. They have been sent on their way. Hopefully they don't get killed." I said. I noticed the distress in her aura and walked over to her to calm her down, "What's wrong Padme?" I asked her. 

"Liberty has died. We are no longer a republic, we're a Galactic Empire. The Emperor has ordered that all are Jedi be hunted down and killed." Padme said.

"Why didn't you leave this all behind long ago Padme? You both could've been safe and no need to worry about the war." I said as Obi-Wan descended down to the landing platform outside of Padme's apartment. He got off and walked over to us. Padme stood up and walked to meet Obi-Wan and they started talking.

"When was the last time you saw him?" Obi-Wan asked her.

"Yesterday after he brought Anna here." She said and walked over to me.

"And do you know where he is now?" Obi-Wan asked her.

"No." She answered quickly.

"Padme, I need your help. He is in grave danger." Obi-Wan said.

"From the Sith?" Padme asked.

"From himself." Obi-Wan said. I decided to step in.

"Padme, Anakin had turned to the dark side." I said softly my voice cracking. Up until now I was alright but now I ain't. It hurt to think of my brother as an enemy.

"You're wrong. How could you even say that?" She asked turning to me.

"I have seen a security hologram... of him... killing younglings." Obi-Wan said. She turned to me and wanted to hear my part.

"He's the one who I fought. He's the one who let the clones wound me. And he is the one who betrayed me." I said.

"Not Anakin. He couldn't." She said. I stood and went over wrapping her in a hug.

"He was deceived by a lie. We all were. It appears that the chancellor is behind everything, including the war. Palpatine is the Sith lord we've been looking for." Obi- Wan said.

"After the death of Count Dooku, Anakin became his new apprentice." I said and led her to the couch.

"I don't believe you. I can't." She said as she sat down holding onto my arm looking into my eyes almost as if looking for a sign that we were lying.

Obi-Wan sat down next to her and glanced at me briefly. I was sitting down on her other side, "Padme, I must find him." Obi-Wan said.

"YYou're going to kill him, aren't you?" She asked looking over at Obi-Wan.

Obi-Wan stayed quiet for a couple seconds, "He has become a very great threat." Obi-Wan said.

"I can't." She said gripping onto my hand. She was ready to start crying. Obi-Wn stood and started walking to the landing platform he paused and looked back at us, well at her.

"Anakin is the father, isn't he?" He questioned Padme looked down trying to avoid eye contact. Glancing at me I gave him a small nod confirming his unanswered question, "I'm so sorry." He said and walked out to his ship.

After Obi-Wan had left Padme turned to me and gave me a small smile, "I will take you to him but you have to promise not to kill him." She said.

"Even if I wanted to, I can't not while I'm in the same position as you are." I said. Her eyes widened and she smiled.

"Who is the father?" She asked.

I sighed and looked out at where Obi-Wan had previously been, "Obi-Wan, we've been together almost the same amount of time you and Anakin have been. Well not marriage wise, its only been two years." I said. She smiled softly.

"I always figured Obi-Wan had a secret someone out there, just not that it was you considering you always act indifferent towards everything." She said.

I laughed at what she said, "Good to know... it is not obvious... like it's with you... and Anakin." I said between my chuckles. She smiled and went to change into a different outfit. She had me call her captain to ready her ship for a personal trip that she would be making.

"Milady, let me come with you." Her captain asked her. I was walking beside Padme while her Captain was behind us.

"There's no danger. The fighting's over. And this is personal." Padme told him.

"As you wish, milady, but I strongly disagree." The captain insisted again.

"I'll be alright, Captain. This is something I must do myself. Besides 3PO and Anna will look after me." She said as she boarded the ship.

"Oh, dear." 3PO said as he walked in after her.

"Anna try to keep her from doing something reckless." Captain Typhoon asked me.

"I will but there is no guarantee she will no do it." I said and walked into the ship. I walked to the control room after Obi-Wan boarded and hid himself. After a couple of hours we got to Mustafar and landed. Padme sat there for a couple of seconds before running out signalling me to follow her. I patted myself just to make sure my saber was hidden and unnoticeable. I walked down the hatch and stood in the background away from them.

"I saw your ship." Anakin said embracing Padme, "What are you doing out here?" He asked her.

"I was so worried about you. Obi-Wan told me terrible things." Padme said. I didn't like the fact that she was only putting this on Obi-Wan.

"What things?" Anakin asked.

"He said you've turned to the dark side. That you... killed younglings." She said. 

"Obi-Wan is trying to turn you and Anna against me." He said. Let me think... no he's not gosh Anakin you're a idiot when it comes to it.

"He cares about us." Padme said.

"Us?" Anakin questioned.

"He knows. He wants to help you. Anakin all I want is your love." Padme said.

"Love won't save you Padme, only my new powers can do that." Anakin said.

"At what cost?" Padme asked him.

"Anakin you're a good person, don't do this." I pleaded stepping in.

"I won't lose her the way I lost our mother Anna." He answered me. He turned to her, "I am becoming more powerful than any Jedi has ever dreamed of. And I'm doing it for you. To protect you." He said.

"Come away with me. Help me raise our child. Leave everything behind while we still can." Padme pleaded.

"Don't you see? We don't have to run any more. I have brought peace to the Republic. I am more powerful than the chancellor. I-I can overthrow him. And together you and I can rule the galaxy... make things the way we want them to be." Anakin said and Padme started to back up towards my side.

"I don't believe what I'm hearing, Obi-Wan was right. You've changed." Padme said.

"I don't want to hear any more about Obi-Wan. The Jedi turned against me, don't you turn against me." Anakin said.

Padme started to shake her head and she started to shed her long held tears. I walked over to her, "I don't know you any more. Anakin, you're breaking my heart. You're going down a path I can't follow." She said clinging onto me.

"Because of Obi-Wan?" Anakin asked.

"Because of what you've done. What you plan to do. Stop. Stop now. Come back. I love you." She said letting me go.

"Lair!" Anakin screamed. I stepped in front of her using myself to shield her from anything he could do. She looked back and so did I. Standing at the opening was Obi-Wan, "No!" Padme yelped. I stood my ground in front of her keeping her almost completely hidden.

"You're with him! You brought him here to kill me." Anakin said as he used the force to choke both of us.

"Let them go Anakin." Obi-Wan said sternly.

"Anakin... stop this. While you still have... time to turn back." I said wasting my breath as it fell on deaf ears.

"Anakin." Padme whispered.

"Let them go." Ob-Wan said much more sternly than before. Anakin dropped us and I saw Padme fall. I crawled over to her and positioned her head on my lap taking her pulse with shaky fingers. She was alright apparently she only lost consciousness but my concern was on her baby. I checked my pulse and felt it was haywire. Looking up I saw Obi-Wan was looking at us.

"You turned them against me!" Anakin yelled.

"You have done that yourself." Obi-Wan said taking his eyes off of us.

Anakin walked a little far aways from us and took his cloak off, "You will not take them from me!" He yelled.

"Your anger and your lust for power have already done that." Obi-Wan took his cloak off too, "You have allowed this dark lord to twist your mind...until now you have become the very thing you swore to destroy." Obi-Wan said as they started to circle each other.

"Don't lecture me, Obi-Wan. I see through the lies of the Jedi. I do not fear the dark side as you do. I have brought peace..." Anakin turned away and Obi-Wan crouched down to check on Padme and me, "freedom, justice, and security to my new empire." Anakin said. Obi-Wan stood after kissing my forehead. To me that felt as a farewell from him.

"Your new empire?" Obi-Wan asked.

"Don't make me kill you." Anakin said still facing away from us.

"Anakin my allegiance is to the Republic, to democracy!" Obi-Wan yelled.

"If you're not with me... then you're my enemy." Anakin said.

"Only a Sith deals in absolutes. I will do what I must." Obi-Wan said drawing his lightsaber.

"You will try." Anakin said. Obi-Wan ignited his Saber and Anakin jumped over. They started clashing sabers and they took it to the other side of the landing platform. I looked on as they fought each other and Anakin kicked Obi-Wan away. I looked at Padme and carefully picked her up and took her to the inside of the ship. When I got inside I laid her down on the bed in the back of the ship.

Heyyo! Did you all like the chapter. FYI its way pass my bed time it's like 2AM in California and I am posting this up. It should have been up since Saturday but things came up and well Ms. Editor, My new one her nickname is Lizzy, suggested we both go through and correct the chapter.
