Chapter Seven: Rage

Darth Vore stood in front of Kris again looking up at the Jedi who levitated off the ground in the chamber. It felt as if he'd all but claimed his knowledge and quite possibly broken his will to live altogether. As it turned out, the Jedi had been telling the truth somewhat. He and the Rebels had been here almost by accident, but he had discovered more about the nature of this Empire and who was in command of it. Emperor Palpatine had taken complete control of the Galactic Republic and all but annihilated any opposition; except the Rebel Alliance. Yet, he learned, that Palpatine was a Sith like himself.

"Darth Sidious..." He thought to reminisce about the conversation he and Master Tarzin had before. Not only was this Sidious in control of the Galaxy, but he had an apprentice, named Darth Vader. One perhaps so feared and ruthless his mere presence on a planet would be enough to quell a rebellion in its entirety. Apparently, after the Brotherhood of Darkness was destroyed nearly nine hundred years ago, the Sith had survived. And with an order of only two Sith, they had done what almost ten thousand could not, they annihilated the Jedi Order. With Master Tarzin unconscious, he'd all but lost his patience, he would leave him there to fester until he needed more information.

Vore walked out of the chamber with his hand on his chin, moving out into the main corridor of the cell block. "How dare this Darth Sidious claim the title that belongs to the rightful Empress of the Sith?" He thought as the two guards with their lightsaber pikes crossed over the durasteel door. Vore thought the guards weren't a sufficient enough security measure, but of course, the Dark Council in their arrogance decided that it was.

Considering that he chose to exit the compound and rose up to the upper echelon of the prison facility. The city on the outside of it was one of the largest in the empire, each structure was built out of adobe reinforced by the Force and durasteel structuring on the inside. The city had four different towers that rose up into the sky higher above the rest of the structures underneath. The spires ascended three hundred meters into the air and were black. Each of them served a different purpose, one being the Spire of Conflict, the Spire of Meditation, the Spire of Mastery, and the Spire of the Dark Council. All around Sith lords and pureblooded Sith walked around speaking with one another as if they hadn't been built on a code of hatred. The city is rather spread out compared to the bustling capital planet of Coruscant. Each structure was incredibly different, yet the matter that made up the other buildings were the exact same.

While slaves were still common in this era, as was evident by the life forms who scoured the city's clean streets in nothing but their loin cloths and whatever top the masters had permitted them to wear. This was perhaps the most civilized version of the Sith Empire to exist since the Cold War after the Sacking of Coruscant, as was evident by several of the craftsmen of the Sith having their wares out in public to sell. With the streets were bustling with talk about battle techniques or some advanced uses of the Force that someone had believed they'd discovered. But in some areas of the city, he noticed several Sith Warriors sparring with one another. Vore didn't detest lightsaber combat. However, he found that applications of the Force were far more effective in dispatching enemies. Techniques that he himself meditated on for ages to merely understand. However, he discovered that blinding fury in the dark side of the Force only made a deeper understanding of it more difficult.

Vore disagreed with many of the ideals of the Sith code, it only incited conflict amongst one another and resulting in civil war one too many times. Yet, this version of the Sith Empire seemed to have lasted for longer than anyone could have anticipated. Under Empress Frota, the Sith continued to not only survive but thrive. The existence of this empire, to his knowledge, was that nobody outside of this planet and the others under its control knew that had even existed. Thanks to the concealment of Sith spells, it remained invisible to not only the Jedi but other Sith as well.

Vore contemplated the nature of this incursion, he had been telling the truth as far as he knew. It had to have been random. He looked over to his right to see the same young Chiss who'd brought the prisoner here, talking with some of her friends by the looks of it. Her name was Darth Zemna, and she was perhaps the greatest warrior the Sith Empire had ever seen; and personal confidant of the Empress herself. Zemna looked over at Vore as he walked out, clad in his Sith Armor like she had except his was bulkier and more tank like. Her's, on the other hand, was sleeker, more streamlined, and able to be hidden under a robe, making it's existence unknown to the opposition until it was too late.

"Vore, what have you uncovered from our prisoner?" She asked. Vore shot her a look.

"Well, where would you like me to begin?" The bith asked. Zemna placed her hand on her chin for a moment in thought, her red eyes then met the black ones of Vore.

"What were they doing here?" She asked as they started to walk with one another.

"Apparently, fighting a war against the so-called Galactic Empire, and that is ruled by a Sith." He replied to Zemna. She looked at him oddly, as if what he had been saying made no sense whatsoever.

"A Sith?" She asked.

"Yes, one by the name of Darth Sidious, or as he is called now, Emperor Palpatine." The bith explained. Zemna looked at him again and couldn't detect any deception in the eyes of the Bith.

"We must speak with the Empress, then we will decide from there," Zemna replied walking toward the Imperial Palace and away from Vore. Compared to the other structures that had surrounded it, the Palace was far more mundane and basic in its design, with massive adobe pillars with etched in ancient Sith hieroglyphics leading up to the large entrance. It was a pyramid-like structure, that was roughly five hundred meters from base to tip, and the sides were smooth.  While the exterior wasn't impressive by itself, it was what it was built upon that was the most critical piece. For the entire area contained within the Palace was a Force Nexus, a place where the abilities and the connection to the Force of those who can tap into it are amplified to incredible degrees.

This place was the palace of only the strongest Sith to reside, to keep the strong stronger, and the weak in the position of wanting more. In the mind of Zemna, it was a perfect way to make the Sith drive for progress and make them stronger. Envy and lust for power are incredibly strong motivators for change. Zemna walked in through the front entryway to the palace, the long, elaborate halls symmetrically ascending and leading to separate corridors that housed many artifacts from the Sith of old. Large Kidron silk rugs ran through the polished obsidian floors of the palace that drove down the hall toward the turbo lift ascending to the highest point in the castle.

Zemna ran toward the massive turbo lift and entered the turbo lift pressing the switch that took her up to the top of the lift as fast as it was possible. The lift opened to reveal the chamber of the Empress, with Zemna seeing her meditating in the center of the room, levitating a meter off the ground. She was clad in a black and gold robe, made out of Lashaa silk that shined in the light of the outside peering into her chamber through the viewports around the room. As for the Empress herself, she was an incredibly strong force user, yet she had all but staved off the Dark Side degradation brought on by her level of immersion. She was a female Torguta well into her early forties, her physical and psychological prime. Her skin was a smooth deep purple with black circles around her eyes with black lips, and her eyes were a deep purple and sometimes turned the gold color familiar to darkside users.

"Ah...Zemna, what brings you to my chamber?" She asked as she stopped meditating and stood up.

"My Lord, we have received news about the Galactic Republic, it has fallen," Zemna said kneeling on the ground before she spoke. Empress Frota looked at her oddly.

"And what has taken its place?" She asked.

"An Empire, led by the Sith Lord Darth Sidious." She replied quickly. Frota eyed her for a moment before walking over to the balcony just outside of the room.

"You may rise." She ordered Zemna. Zemna obeyed her order without question and walked over beside her. "This Darth Sidious, had managed to overthrow the entire Republic?" She asked.

"As far as our Jedi prisoner has revealed then yes. Vore interrogated him personally."

Frota looked out the window over her kingdom toward the horizon line past the mountains and Volcanoes. "Perhaps it is time to unleash our plan Zemna."

"The plan to overthrow the Republic, your grace?" She asked.

"Of course, we must destroy this Sidious and all who call him master, then the True Sith, shall rule the Galaxy." She replied looking over at Zemna. "Is the weapon ready yet?"

"Soon Empress, soon."

"Good. Prepare the cruiser with the weapon in tow, then we will show this Empire the true meaning of fear."
