Fun First Date Idea: overthrow your government with the bae.

To whomever it may concern, today, the twenty-seventh on a Tuesday in the year 2016, we have lost a legend: Carrie Frances Fisher. Not only was she an incredible actress known for many roles, especially her role as Princess Leia Organa in the world-renown movie series entitles Star Wars, but she was also known for her charity work.

As one of the many actresses who had struggled with an addiction to painkillers and lived some of her life as an alcoholic, she was one of the few to speak out about her struggles. Carrie was an advocate for mental health and did a lot of charity work. Today, the day I published this book, was the day I had found out about her death, which was at 8:55 a.m. (I found out less than a half hour afterward).

As a huge fan of Star Wars, I immediately began to grieve and the majority of my friends found out about her death via my text and Snapchat story. However, I also grieved for the loss of Leia Organa, the fierce princess warrior who was one of the first characters to bring girls' self esteems as high as space.

So I thank Carrie Frances Fisher and Princes Leia Organa for bringing happiness and an idol into my life.
