Rey screamed in pain as Palpatine shot Force-lightening at her.

Ben heard her scream as he entered the Sith's throne room. How dare he hurt her? He had to save her, he couldn't bare another second of her pain.

Ben ran, stepping in front of her. The Force-lightening struck him, it was excruciating but the pain was worth it to save her. Palpatine continued to strike him, until he fell to the ground, lifeless.

A wave of emotion hit her and she was unable to control it. She screamed, a cry filled with more pain than she had felt as she was tortured. As she screamed, a wall of energy shot from her in a wave, striking the ancient Sith Lord. He disappeared in a pile of ash.

Rey collapsed to the floor, tears pouring from her eyes. She looked over at Ben. She went over to him and took his hand in hers. She brought his hand up to her mouth, kissing it. Then she pulled his hand to her chest, her heart, holding it close.

If this was love, why did it hurt so much?

She leaned down to place a soft kiss on his lifeless lips. After a moment, she pulled away. She looked at him for a moment, watching as he slowly disappeared.
