Rey was sitting in the Millennium Falcon, trying to repair the lightsaber. The one that had once belonged to Luke Skywalker and to his father before him.
Suddenly everything became silent... too silent. But it was a familiar silence and not a lonely one. She looked up to see Kylo Ren standing there. She looked away from him. She was still upset, she had risked everything to save him but he wouldn't come with her to the Light Side.
He was upset at her too. He had risked everything to save her from Snoke. Then he had offered her power, he had offered her the galaxy but she refused to join him. "Rey, I will give you another chance." He said, and reached out his hand to her. "Join me... please?"
"Ben, I can't." She answered. "Come back to the Light Side."
"No. The Dark Side is the only way." He answered. "You have to face the truth."
She didn't answer him, she just grabbed a bolt that was sitting next to her and threw it him. It went through him. Kylo Ren looked down watching as another bolt went through him.
"Rey." He said. "Please just listen to me..."
She continued to throw the bolts through him.
"Would you stop that?" He said at last.
Rey smirked then she threw another bolt through him.
Kylo Ren looked away and shook his head. Then he disappeared.

A few days later, on an uninhabited planet the Resistance had landed and was preparing to build a new base. They had acquired a few weapons and old X-Wings, but not nearly enough to face the First Order.
But the very next day after they had landed, the First Order arrived with a weapon of mass destruction. It was the Death Star 3. The First Order had been working on it since the destruction of Star Killer Base.
"Should I give the order?" Hux asked Ren.
Kylo didn't reply. He could sense Rey on the planet, and his mother. He couldn't bare the thought of them being blown up without a trace. "No," he replied. "I will lead a group of stormtroopers down onto the planet first. If we can defeat the Resistance, this planet could become a valuable asset."
"Yes, sir." Hux replied. Even though he really wanted to blow something up. Especially the planet where that girl was. Snoke was dead, because of her.
Kylo Ren lead a large group of stormtroopers down to the planet in shuttles.
The Resistance was unprepared for the attack, but they came out to meet the First Order nonetheless. The Resistance fighters watched as the tall figure clad in black walked down the ramp of a shuttle and stepped towards them. He was fallowed closely behind him.
Rey, Finn, Rose, Poe and Leia stood ready to face him and the First Order, alone if need be. But there was an army behind them who were willing to stand with them, no matter the costs.
Kylo Ren looked at Rey then at his mother. "Destroy the Resistance." He ordered. "But don't kill the girl, or my mother."
"Our orders from General Hux were to kill the girl and the General without hesitation." Said one of the stormtroopers.
"Well, my orders are different and I am Supreme Leader so you must obey me." He replied. "I have good reasons for keeping them alive."
"General Hux said that if you protect the girl, it proves that you are guilty for helping the girl kill Supreme Leader Snoke." The stormtrooper pointed his blaster at Ren. "We will give you one final chance, face the girl now.... or face the whole First Order."
Kylo Ren turned towards Rey and the Resistance. He ignited his lightsaber and began to walk towards her.
Rey lifted her staff, ready to face him. But at the last moment he turned to face the First Order. To defend Rey, his mother and the Resistance.
The stormtroopers exchanged glances. Then they immediately opened fire on the Resistance. Ben deflected as many of their blasts as he could with his lightsaber and with the Force.
The Resistance opened return fire on the First Order. And unlike the Resistance, they didn't have some one to shield the blasts.
But the Resistance was greatly outnumbered, and they were forced to fall back.
"We have to get out of here." Said Ben. "Hux has a weapon of mass destruction. The third Death Star. He cares little for the lives of his own men, once he discovers that I have turned against the First Order, he will blow the planet even with the stormtroopers on it."
"The Falcon is this way." Said Leia. She lead her son and the Resistance to the Falcon.
"General Hux, Kylo Ren has turned against us, just as you said." One of the stormtroopers informed Hux.
"Don't let him escape." Hux replied.
"Yes, sir." The stormtroopers answerable.
The Resistance had almost reached the Millennium Falcon when the stormtroopers caught up to them. "Go ahead, I'll hold them off!" Said Ben.
"No, Ben you have to come with us!" Said Rey.
"No, Rey. You have to go!" He replied.
Rey nodded and with tears in her eyes she ran to the Millennium Falcon with the rest of the Resistance. She and Chewbacca ran to the cockpit. She sat down in the pilot seat and Chewbacca sat in the chair beside her.
"We have to wait as long as we can for Ben." Said Rey.
Chewbacca growled in agreement.
Rey sat, hoping that Ben would make it on to the Falcon in time.
On the third Death Star Hux looked down at the planet below. "Fire when ready." He ordered.
Poe entered the cockpit. He looked up at the sky, and saw the blast coming towards them. "We have to go." He said. "Now."
With a heavy heart, Rey lifted off and flew away from the planet.
"Can you fly?" She asked Poe.
"Yes," Poe answered.
Rey stood up and Poe took her place in the pilot seat.
Rey left the cockpit and went to the window. She watched as the planet exploded. A tear slid down her cheek.
Suddenly, she noticed someone step up to the window beside her. She turned to see Ben. But she knew that it couldn't be him. He couldn't have made it in time. Perhaps this was a Force connection of some kind.
"If you were here, I would give you a hug." She said. She took a book that was sitting next to her and tossed it at him to see if he was real.
With quick reflexes he reached out and caught it. He smiled. "I am here." He said.
Rey's eyes lit up, She rushed over and wrapped her arms around him. She squeezed him tightly. He smiled, hugging her back.
Ben leaned down and kissed her gently.
They released each other, then they looked out the window and watched as the stars suddenly become a blur of light as the Falcon jumped into hyper drive.
Ben reached out and grabbed her hand. They both knew that there was a lot more ahead of them. A Death Star to destroy, the First Order to face, and Hux to stop. But for now, they were just happy to be together.
