Ironic that one of the more famous planets in this franchise is also one of the worst.  It's great for folks who want to hide in plain sight, I suppose.

This is a planet where one might literally wonder why in the galaxy someone would choose to live here.  There's barely any surface water, making this one of the hottest and driest planets in the galaxy.  However, civilization finds ways to make do, with moisture vaporators to pull water from the air.  Any native life that can survive in this planet is as tough and harsh as the planet it lives on, but it has been a melting pot of cultures and species for a long time.  This, for better or worse, has attracted the attention of the Hutt clan.  Be careful not to piss off the wrong person, for as old Ben Kenobi said: 'this place can be a little rough.'  Famous spots include: Jabba's Palace, the Dune Sea, Mos Espa, Mos Eisely, and a few others.  It is highly recommended that if you see a hooded creature with glowing eyes around, do not leave your droids unattended.
