Anakin Skywalker never turned to the dark side. Emperor Palpatine executes Order 66 and Anakin manages to escape thanks to his wife Padme Amidala. But she starts to go into labor. They go to Polis Massa where Padme Amidala has their twin children, Luke and Leia Skywalker.

Anakin gets in contact with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda soon afterwards who had also survived Order 66. The three Jedi agree to split ways. Anakin, Padme, and their children go to Tatooine to hide from Palpatine and the Empire.

Unfortunately six months later Palpatine finds them on Tatooine and kills Padme in front of Anakin then took his daughter Leia. But he never saw Luke. So Anakin and Luke travel to various places over the course of six years to hide, never staying in one place longer than several months.

But when he travels to Alderaan after Bail Organa said he would help him, Luke, and to get back Leia he reunites with someone he hadn't seen in six years. Obi-Wan Kenobi. Luke was shy for a six year old, only use to having his father around.

"Do you want to come out and say hi?" Anakin asked Luke who was peeking out from underneath his cloak.
