When and Stranger Calls 2

7:35 P.M.

Hera talked with a few people on the phone then decided to do something else. She sat up on the couch and saw three remotes. She picked up a small black remote and pressed a button. Hera jumped when the fire place suddenly flickered on.

She pressed the same button turning it off then went to the next one. She picked up the biggest remote and pressed a button. Loud opera music began to play and Hera tried to turn it off but then a TV came out of the wall. It went staticky which both combined were really loud. Hera pressed a button which shut the music off then a different button that turned the TV off. The TV went back into the wall as Hera sighed in relief.

She put the remote down back where it was then opened her bag grabbing a book. Hera opened it but looked around the house instead. Her eyes landed on some double doors that Mrs. Solo never showed her. She closed the book and put it back in her bag. Then walked over to the mysterious doors and opened them to reveal a bedroom.

Hera walked in and the light automatically turned on. She smiled then walked out of the room which turned off the lights then walked back in. After she was done with the lights, Hera walked over to another room, the bathroom. The lights did the same thing then Hera noticed a jewelry box on the counter.

She walked over and opened the box to see necklaces and rings. Hera put on a necklace and three rings looking into the mirror saying, "You like the new bling, I got it myself," she said having fun wearing the jewelry. Hera looked over her shoulder and saw a closet.

She walked over and opened it to see that it was a walk-in closet full of dress clothes. She walked in and got a dress then went over to the mirror putting the black dress against her to see how it looks. Then a noise came from in the house and Hera quickly put the dress and jewelry away. She ran back to her spot on the couch and opened her book.

Looking up, Hera looked over at the door and called, "Mr. And Mrs. Solo?" No one replied. Hera shrugged and kept flipping through the pages of her book. A noise came from the direction of the garden. Hera looked around and said, "Rosa?" There was still no reply and another noise came. Hera put the book down and stood up cautiously.

"Rosa?" She called out again and began to walk. She heard the noise again but this time it came from down a hall that was under the staircase. "Rosa," Hera called out once again and walked down the hall. The lights automatically turned on as she said, "This is Hera the babysitter."

The hall turned to the right and Hera looked down the dark hallway. There were pictures hanging from the walls, a little stand sitting on the left side and a single little light that hung at the far end of the wall. Hera walked down the hall slowly to take in everything around her. She made it to the end and saw the garden again but this time a small woman stood in there. The woman was tossing bird seeds to the little yellow birds.

Hera walked over and stopped at the window watching the woman throw bird seeds. 'That must be Rosa,' Hera thought and calmed her racing heart. The said maid looked up and saw her. The maid smiled and waved at Hera saying, "Hello." Hera returned the smile and waved back.

Hera remembered Leia saying that Rosa was going to be leaving to see her mother. Rosa's mother has been ill for a while and Rosa visits her to help. I thought that was very sweet of the woman and she seemed really nice too.

Hera walked back to the living room and plopped back down on the couch. She looked down at a black home phone with a cord lagging. The cord connected to the bottom of the phone to the box-like thing with buttons. Hera reached out for the phone then it started to ring. She pulled her hand back a little in surprise then reached out for the phone again and answering it.

"Hello," Hera spoke, "Solo residence." All she could hear for the other side of the phone was breathing then the person hung up. Hera pulled the phone back in confusion then put the phone back in its place on the box. She sat back on the couch and looked around the room. She then picked up a book that was next to the phone flipping through the pages.

A light came on from down a room that was near. Hera looked over at it then at the garden. She stood up with curiosity and began to walk to the room. "Hello?" Hera said a bit spooked from the sudden light turning on. She looked around the room but didn't see anyone.

"Meow!" A loud noise came. Something quickly ran past Hera making her jump. "Oh, Chopper," she said as the big orange and white tabby cat ran down the hall. "You scared me," she added saying to no one in particular.

Hera went back to her spot and called a friend. "So how is the house?" Hera's friend asked. "It's amazing, they have a closet that is bigger than my room!" Hera laughed with Ahsoka. "Guess what," Ahsoka said, "The jerk called and asked for the number of the place that you are staying at."

"Did you give it to him?" Hera asked. "No," Ahsoka replied.

"Well you can give it to him," Hera said. "Why are do you want to talk to him? Are you becoming weak?" Ahsoka asked suspiciously. "I'm not being weak," Hera retorted, "I just want to end this."

"The person you really be talking to is Numa," Ahsoka said.

Hera went silent for a moment before saying, "So when are you going to the bomb fire?"

"Nice subject change," Ahsoka said making Hera smile, "I'm going now before the jocks idiots take the front seats."

"Now you are making me really sad that I'm missing it," Hera said making them both laugh again.

"Want me to swing by to check on you first?" Ahsoka asked. "No, it's fine," Hera replied, "Just please give Kanan the number."

Ahsoka sighed saying, "You've been warned."

"Ok," Hera replied before they ended the conversation. She hung the phone back up and was happy to know that Ahsoka at least has her back.

Hera was about to go back to reading when the secretary system went off. She stood up quickly and found the number that Leia wrote down on a notepad. Hera quickly went over to the small white box the was hanging next to the door and pressed the numbers in. The alarms shut off before it could wake up the kids and soon the phone started to ring.
