Kanan's P.O.V

Out of every mission, we had to choose the one on a planet that was basically water and some islands. The Imperial base that we are about to raid was its own floating island. It had medical supplies that we urgently need for a small town on Lothal that was falling ill. The only cure that is the easiest to swipe was this base.

Hera was hovering over the water as we approached the base. I kept sensing fear from Ezra through the force. I was going to ask him what the problem was but we were approaching the base. I'm going to have to wait until after the mission to ask what was bothering him. If we don't get theses medical supplies then lots of lives will be lost until we find a new batch of the cure.

"Everyone in positions," Hera told us. Zeb and Sabine went to the Phantom while Ezra and I went to the cargo bay. Hera and Chopper were staying on the ship for our quick escape.

I sneaked a glance over to see a nervous Ezra, who had his arms crossed around himself. That was a sign of defense whenever he was nervous, sad, or afraid of something. The question was, what was he afraid of.

"Kid, you might as well tell me what's going on before you turn as pale as this ship," I said. "It's nothing, master," he said in a low tone. "Really," I said extending the word. Then continued, "Cause the Force and your body language says otherwise."

"Specter 1 and 6, time for action," I heard Hera say of my comm. "This conversation isn't over," I warned him and he nodded. The ramp opened and the two of us jumped onto the platform behind the base. The Ghost left as Ezra and I sneaked the building. We went to the nearest vent and Ezra climbed in to go to the storage room.

Ezra's P.O.V

'I'm on Lothal. I'm on Lothal. I'm on Lothal. I'm okay. I'm fine,' I kept telling myself in my head to whole time. Yet, reality hit me cause I wasn't the least bit of 'okay' or 'fine.'

The mission was important so I had to keep my mind off my fear. I felt sick to my stomach but brushed it off and kept crawling through the vents. Peoples lives depended on the rebellion, the crew, on me. There was no choice to ignore my fear cause if we fail...

I honestly don't want to think about it.

My train of thought stopped when I reached my destination. I looked through the vent shaft to see at least ten stormtroopers in the storage room maybe more. I grabbed my comm and spoke into it. "Specter 1, there is a lot of security like we thought," I said to Kanan. "Alright, I'll contact Specters 4 and 5 to set up a distraction. You get out of their and meet us at the docking bay to keep an eye on heavy security," Kanan said.

"Got it, Specter 6 out," I said and placed my comm back on my belt. Soon, I heard an explosion from one of Sabine's miracles. It had to be a paint bomb cause a real bomb would make the base sink. Luckily, some stormtroopers left leaving a good enough amount to face off.

A groan echoed through the vent and that's when I realized what was going to happen. I was about to move when the vent broke and fell through landing on something. I let out a grunt of pain when I landed then stood up on shaky feet to se that I landed on a stormtrooper knocking him out.

I looked up at the vent and realized that I wouldn't be able to back in there. "So much for the vents," I muttered under my breath and held my left arm in pain. "Hey!" I heard someone yell and my head jerked over to see a stormtrooper. "What are you doing here!?" He yelled then started to shoot at me. I grabbed my lightsaber and had to use my right arm only to block the red lasers.

'So much for sneaking,' I thought then hid behind a crate and deactivated my lightsaber. I looked over the crate, aimed, and fired with the blaster part. Eventually, I hit my target but of course with all the commotion more bucket heads came from around the corner. "This is just fantastic," I said sarcastically and started to shoot again.

The entrance to the storage room opened behind the troopers to reveal Zeb and Kanan. The troopers didn't notice them so I decided to distract them. "Hey bucket heads! Who taught you to aim? An aimateur?," I said. "Quiet rebel scum!" A trooper yelled as he heard grunts and groans behind him.

The trooper turned around to see Kanan and Zeb with all his knocked out buddies on the floor. "He can be annoying," Zeb agreed and I glared at him, "But I'd prefer you to shut up." Zeb punched the trooper, who fell to the floor unconscious.

"Kid, why we're at least six stormtroopers shooting at you?" Kanan asked me. "I may have fallen through the vent and fell," I said. "Are you ok?" He asked coming over to check me for any injuries. "My left arm hurts," I said and Kanan gently rolled up my sleeve to reveal a big bruise. "This isn't bad," he said and I pushed my sleeve back down.

"Don't worry about it. A bucket head broke my fall," I said shaking off the tension in the air. "The jobs not done yet but be a little more careful so you don't damage the medicine," Kanan said moving over the crate I was hiding behind. It had a medical symbol on it meaning that the cure was in it.

"Oh, I didn't know," I said raising my hands in defense wincing a little from my injured arm. "Let's gets them and go before more bloody troopers get here," Zeb said. We each grabbed at least two crates and started to push to them to the docking bay.

The alarms went off as we were half way there. "Freeze rebels!" A trooper said behind us as three of them fired. I stopped running and pushing the crates then turned around. I activated my lightsaber and deflected the shots. "You look like you could use a little help," Sabine said running up and started to shoot. Kanan and Zeb came over joining the fight.

"Specter 4 and 5, get the crates to the ship. We will cover you," Kanan ordered and the other two crew members did as told as more troopers came. It was hard to to deflect the shots with one arm but I managed to use both of my arms through the pain.

"Specter 1, where are you? Specters 4 and 5 are telling me your not back yet," I heard Hera say through Kanan's comm. Kanan snatched his comm blocking with one arm and saying into it, "We are on our way, get the Ghost ready to go."

Suddenly, the base shook violently making everyone fall. "What was that?" I asked and the alarms went off again but this time with someone saying through the speakers, "Evacuate!" The troopers left and Kanan and I ran down the halls to the Ghost.

I heard a roaring noise coming from behind us. "What is that noise?" I asked Kanan. "Nothing good," he said and I looked behind us without thinking twice.

My blood went cold and heart sank to the bottom of my stomach. A huge amount of water rushed through the halls devouring anything in its path. "Kanan," I said said to worried to use our code names. "I see it, Ezra," I said and then took out his comm again. "Hera, get out of here!" He said. "Negative, I'm not leaving without you two," she said. "We'll find another way out," I reassured her. It took a second until she replied, "Be careful," she said before signing off.

The water was getting closer and the fear in me was rising. "K-Kanan," I stuttered scared, "I can't swim."

"It's okay," he reassured me, "I'll be here to help." I nodded cause I didn't trust myself to speak again.

"Pinch your nose and hold your breath. Make sure not to fall unconscious," Kanan told me. We both stopped running and I took a deep breath and plugged my nose. Kanan held his breath too but didn't plug his nose. He wrapped me in his arms. For a moment, everything froze as I felt safe in Kanan's arms then the next split second it changed.

A huge force of water pushed us and soon we were spinning, turning, and pushed in the rushed water. My eyes were closed tightly and the fear made me scared half to death. Kanan still held onto me and soon he helped me up to get some air.

I let the air run into my lungs and relief fill me as oxygen flowed. The water was rising quickly. "Are we going to get out of here alive?" I asked scared with my body shaking. The water was so cold but that wasn't why I was shaking. "Ezra, listen to me, we will make it out. Trust me and the Force then you will succeed."

I let out a chuckle. "Even in times like this you still give me a lesson."

"No better time then now," he said then went serious, "but we will get out of here together and give you some swimming lessons." I nodded as the water was almost completely done filling the hall.

"Kanan..." I started, "...I-I'm afraid."

"It's okay to be scared. Admitting it makes you brave," he said. "I don't feel brave," I said. "Ezra, you're the bravest kid I know. You admitting something your scared of and still facing the situation is what bravery is and more," Kanan told me. "Thank you," I said, "For everything."

By now our heads were touching the ceiling. "Take a deep breath then I need you the help me swim, ok?" He said. "Ok," I said. "On three," he said and started to count. When he said 'three!' The both of us took deep breaths and kicked our legs under water. We made it to the end of the hall at the door of the docking bay. Yet, there was a problem. The door was locked.

I was quickly losing holding my breath for much longer. Kanan activated his lightsaber and started to cut a hole in the door. I grabbed mine too and started to help. Soon the hole was done and I put my lightsaber back. Then suddenly I clasped my hand on my mouth from opening it a little. My lungs were burning and I wasn't sure how much longer I was going to last.

Kanan began to swim and I did my best to help him. Yet, I lost my hold on my mouth and water started to fill me. My limbs went limp and I closed my eyes.

   'I'm sorry, Kanan......I wasn't strong enough."

Kanan's P.O.V

I heard him talking through the Force and that's when I noticed that he went limp in my arms. I turned around and made sure the nothing was in my way before Force pushing us through the water out of the docking bay to the surface of the sinking base.

Hera's P.O.V

I was beyond worried when Kanan wouldn't reply through the comm. The whole entire base was now completely under water  and there was still no sign of the two Jedi. I went down to the surface of the water and set the Ghost on to stay where it was. We had to be quick before imperial reinforcements comes. "Chopper, stay here and incase we need a quick escape," I said.

Chopper let out a couple of grumpy beeps as I left the cockpit. I met with Zeb and Sabine in the cargo bay with the ramp open. "Any sign of them?" I asked looking at the vast sea. "Nothing for miles," Zeb said agitated with worry. "I'm not picking anything up on the scanners," Sabine said with her helmet off.

I looked out again and sighed in defeat. "We have to go before the Empire gets here and deliver the medicine," I said. Zeb and Sabine looked at me in disbelief with long looks. "Hera, we can't just leave them!" Sabine exclaimed. "You really think I want too. Sabine, we don't even know if they made it," I argued back. Sabine crossed her arms and stared at the floor with sadness in her eyes.

I placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "We will come back. I'm not losing hope in them. If I know Kanan, he's to stubborn to let both of them die like this," I reassured. Sabine looked me in the eye then nodded. I looked over at Zeb who was squinting his eyes and looking out in the water.

"Zeb..." I said then looked out too but there was nothing. "What do you see?" I asked. Lasat's eyes could see a far distance than anyone else in the galaxy.

"There's something out there but I can't see it very well. It's like a small dot almost," he said it out. My hope fueled me and I began to order around. "Zeb and Sabine, take the Phantom and go check it out. I'm going to set a course for the rebel base," I said.

We split to go do what I said. I just hope that it was them and not some debris from the base. 'Come on, Caleb," I thought, 'I know you are out there.'

When I was done setting the course, a light popped on that meant that the Phantom was back. I got out from my seat and ran to the doors of the Phantom. It slid open to reveal Sabine and Zeb with grave looks. I could only mutter up two words when I saw a large crate that seemed to be two crates long.

   "What happened?"
