Chapter 1 - The Vision
Ezra was walking along a dark road, picking his way through the ruins of old buildings. He could hear the sound of someone crying. All of a sudden, he saw a young girl who seemed to be about twelve. She had dark skin and black hair that was threaded through with many brightly coloured streaks. The girl turned to Ezra as he approached, revealing bright green eyes that were swimming with tears.
"Help me," she whispered, her voice hollow and full of sadness, "I'm cold."
As Ezra watched in horror, a thick sheet of ice grew up around the girl. He could hear Kanan's voice echo around him.
"No one has been there for years....anyone who goes to that planet has never returned."
Once the girl had become completely encased in ice, a red lightsaber was extended out of the darkness, revealing the face (or mask) of Vader.
"Now you are mine," he said to the girl's frozen form.
Ezra gave a yell and woke up, breathing hard from what he had just seen. It felt too real to be just a dream; he knew that he'd had another vision.

The next morning, Ezra met with Kanan and Ahsoka to discuss his vision.
"Kanan mentioned that 'the planet hasn't been visited in years', and 'anyone who goes there has never returned'. Do you guys know of any planets like that?" Ezra asked the two Jedi.
"Well, there is one planet," Ahsoka said thoughtfully, "Its name was erased from the official Jedi records, but its location and the whispers of what happened there remained."
"You're not saying what I think you're saying, are you?" Kanan asked.
"We're going to go to that planet to see if we can help the girl I saw." Ezra replied.
"Yep, you were saying what I thought you were saying." Kanan said with a sigh, "I'll ask Hera if we can borrow the Phantom for travel to that world. I hope you're right about this, kid."
"Yeah, me too," Ezra thought.

The Phantom touched down a few hours later, on a desolate world. It seemed similar to Malachor, with the ground seeming scorched and everything broken. Ezra took one look around, and recognized it as the world he had seen in his vision.
"This is the place," he said.
"Hello?" a familiar hollow voice asked, "Who are you?"
