Here is the long awaited first chapter to the second season. I had to rewrite this several times because I wanted it to be perfect. Thank you everyone for being so patient and I hope you enjoy the chapter. 

Kanan POV

I sighed in relief as I sank into my chair. In the past three months we have gone on several missions for the fleet and so far it wasn't to bad. Except for the last one which involved clones. I mean Rex and the others aren't  bad but I still keep a close on them. Especially when Ezra was concerned but Ashoka trusts them.  Meanwhile Hera noticed the tense air around our family and decided to take a break on a neighboring planet that had little Imperial influence. She sent the kids out on a supply run and told me to go relax while she got some cleaning done. After about an hour of meditation I gave it up and joined her. As I was starting to drift off Sabine's voice came over the comm.

"Spector Six to Ghost." 

"Go ahead Spector Six," I said sitting up straight blinking trying to wake up. 

"We have an issue," she said almost frightened.

That woke me up. 

"What's going on?" I asked. 

"We got caught and well...Ezra and Zeb were taken into custody."

"Where are you?" I asked jumping to my feet and racing out the door.

"Across from the complex, Kanan I'm scared," she whispered.

"Don't worry Sweetheart," I cooed at her. "I'm getting Mom and we will be right there. Where's Chopper?"

"Right beside me, please hurry," she said. 

"Take a deep breath and have chopper send us your coordinates. Don't worry everything will be alright," I reassured her as I reached the common room.

Sabine signed off and I raced inside.

"Hera!" I yelped startling her.

"What?" She said glaring at me.

"The kids are in trouble. Zeb and Ezra are being held in the Imperial complex..." I started to explain when she ran past me and into the Phantom.

When I arrived she was already talking to Sabine telling that the coordinates were received and we were on our way.

"Can we ever catch a break?" I asked.

She gave me a side glare and got us airborne. It didn't take us long to arrive at the their location. Sabine waved at us and ran from her hiding spot. I ran out to meet her only for Sabine to throw her arms around my waist saying that she was sorry. 

"Honey, what happened?" Hera asked placing a hand on her shoulder. 

"We had just arrived to get the supplies when an officer recognized Ezra and yelled for us to halt. Of course we ran until troopers blocked our path. When they started firing at us Ezra pulled out his lightsaber. Once we got an opening we made break for it only for it to be a dead end. Zeb boosted me up and before he could get Ezra they were shot with stun bolts. There were to many troopers so I had to watch them being taken into the complex. I'm so sorry," she whispered the last part hanging her head in shame. 

"Sabine, there wasn't anything you could have done. We are just glad you are okay," I told her lifting her head up. 

"But that's not the worse. I have been monitoring  chatter and the officers contacted Kallus letting him know that they had captured the Jedi Padawan and he said that he would be there shortly. That was about twenty minutes ago. He  also said to begin Operation BBY."  

Hera and I looked at each other before turning back to the girl in front of us. I went to ask her what that was when a sudden pain flew over  the bond with my son. 

"Kanan?" Sabine squeaked as I fell to my knees clutching my head.

"Ezra," I whispered. "Something's wrong with Ezra."

Hera put her hands on my shoulders as I tried to reach out to him but was met with resistance. As the pain faded I got to my feet and faced the Imperial complex.

"Hera make sure our escape is ready. Sabine you're with me, let's go."

NPOV

Breaking in was easy but Kanan knew that they would still have to work fast. Reaching out to the force Kanan located Zeb.

"Okay, I have Zeb, Sabine I need you to locate where they are keeping their weapons. Stay out of sight and stay safe," he whispered to the girl.

She nodded and they split ways.

'Come on EJ, where are they keeping you?' He thought over the bond hoping that the boy would hear him.

Finally making it to Zeb's cell Kanan unlocked the door and stepped inside.

"Zeb?" He asked finding the man hunched over obviously protecting somthing. "Zeb, come on Big Guy. We gotta find Ezra."

He turned toward him to reveal what he was protecting. A baby more specifically a blue haired baby. 

"Ezra?"

Kanan POV

My heart skipped a beat. I couldn't believe it, but then again I know that baby face anywhere.

"Ezra?" I questioned quietly reaching out to take him.

"They did something to him Kanan," Zeb said handing him over. 

"EJ, Ezzy, come on Baby Boy," I cooed hoping to wake the boy. 

Finally his eyes opened and he began to cry struggling  in my arms. 

"Ezra it's okay," I whispered. "It's okay, it's Papa. Calm down." 

I handed him to Zeb and he calmed instantly. Something was defiantly wrong. 

"Specter One, I have located the targets," Sabine's voice came over my comm.

"Good work Specter Six, get back to the Phantom," I ordered still eyeing my now infant son.

"What about...."

"Don't worry I've located them and we are on our way out," I said and shut off my comm. "Zeb you're gonna have to carry Ezra out of here. I'll cover you."

He noddedd and stood to his feet. Ezra made a small whine and I went to touch his face when he jerked away from me. I shook my head, hurt that my own son rejected me. 

"Come on," I said turning to the door. 

I glanced  around the hall and didn't see anything but I knew that didn't mean much. 

"Okay let's go," I said as we made our way out. 

Luckily for us we didn't meet any troopers and got outside with no fuss.

"Kinda of weird isn't? They didn't make a sound," Zeb commented as we made our way out of the gates. 

"To weird," I said before grabbing my comm. "Spector Six where are you?"

"Back on the Phantom," she replied. 

"Good, I'm not sure how but I guess we got one up on the Empire. Tell Specter Two we are on our way," I said knowing Hera would here me.

"Roger that Specter One," Hera responded.

I glanced back at Zeb who still had Ezra in his grasp. It didn't make since onto why he rejected me and then it hit me. Judging by his size he is at the age that he  wouldn't remember who I was because I didn't look I did then. Suddenly alarms started sounding causing Ezra to scream in fright and Zeb to nearly drop him.

"Careful," I hissed as he tightened his arms around the baby.

"Well he's slippery," Zeb complained.

Looking over my shoulder I saw the troopers pouring out of the complex.

"Run!" I yelled as the bolts began to fly.

Luckily Hera knew that our good fortune wouldn't last long and had the Phantom ready. As we jumped on she had us in the air and out sight before the troopers got around the building. While Hera got us back to the Ghost I turned to Zeb to see him staring worriedly at Ezra. 

"Kanan he's hotter than he should be," he said handing him to me. 

Sure enough, Ezra's small body was burning up. 

"That's to quick," I said clutching him to my chest. 

"What's going on?" Hera snapped making us all jump.

I looked up to see she had reattached us to the Ghost and was staring at the small bundle in arms. 

"Hera, set course for the fleet, he's needs a doctor stat!" 

So yeah that happened. Rex, Gregor and Wolf are now with the rebellion and Kanan doesn't like it. I really wanted to see what would happen if they were there from the beginning. Just incase you might be wondering this is before Siege of Lothal.
