Second Meeting Part Four
Here is the next part to Second Meeting. I do hope you guys enjoy!
Ezra POV
I'm not sure how much time has passed since my capture. The Seventh Sister has continued to attack my mind but I have stopped her from taking anything.
"You are strong," she said for what seemed like the hundredth time.
I rolled my eyes and shivered. Suddenly the door opened and I had to bite my tongue to keep from yelling. Sabine was marched into the command center and then pushed into me.
"So you took a prisoner of your own?" Seventh chuckled.
The Fifth brother snarled at her.
"What has the boy told you?"
"Nothing I wish to inform you of," Seventh smirked.
The Fifth brother glared at her. Sabine and I shared a look before turning to look at the two.
"They fight more than we do," Sabine whispered quietly.
I nodded before flinching as my brain was invaded again.
"Spector Three? Come in, Spector Three," a voice called from my comm, stopping the attack.
I grunted slightly trying to place it. It sounded like Dad but that was impossible. Dad was on the Ghost.
"Answer," Seven said eyeing me.
"Spector Three here," I answered biting the inside of my cheek to keep my voice from shaking.
"This is Commander KJ, you missed your check in," the voice said.
"Sorry, we had difficulties," I said glancing up at the Inquistors.
"I see," 'Commander KJ' drawled out. "Are you in need of a pickup."
I stiffened slightly, I knew that drawl anywhere. Question is how did Dad know that something was wrong.
"No, there is no need for a pick up," Sabine said breaking me from my thoughts.
Before I had a chance to say anything, Fifth Brother grabbed her by the head and ignited his saber, putting against her throat.
"No wait," I said quickly. "Now that I think about it, we will need a pickup. Make sure the others are with you."
Fifth brother seemed to like my answer as he released Sabine and shoved her into my side.
"Don't worry we will be there soon," Dad said before the comm clicked.
I glanced at my sister. I knew what that click meant. Dad was close and he is not going to be happy when he shows up.
Kanan POV
I replaced my comm and turned to Chopper.
"Get the Phantom attached to the Ghost and then go tell Hera we are going to need a fast get away," I ordered.
The little droid saluted and did as asked. Turning to Zeb, I could see the tension on his face.
"What is it?" I asked.
"What if we are too late?" He asked quietly.
"Don't worry," I said banishing my own thoughts of terror. "If I know those two, they can survive."
NPOV
Ezra groaned as Seventh Sister tried once again to rip information from his brain.
"Impressive," she said leaning back against her chair.
"Can't you say anything else," the boy snapped shifting so his sister was a little more shielded.
He wasn't too worried, since the Fifth Brother was knocked out by an unintended force push, but he didn't want to take any chances.
"You are a very rare breed of Padawan," Seventh said smirking.
"How do you know so much about them," Sabine asked her curiosity getting the better of her.
"My dear, it's because I was once apart of the Jedi," Seventh said.
The two teens glanced at each other before turning shocked filled eyes back to the inquisitor.
"Yes yes, I don't tell people that so consider yourselves lucky," she said darkly.
"What happened?" Ezra asked.
"I never reached the padawan status but I loved to read about what I could be someday," she responded quietly. "In fact, the library is where I made my first real friend, Caleb Dume."
Ezra bit his tongue, to keep from gasping. This inquisitor was friends with his father? That was to much for his brain to comprehend.
"During the order," she continued. "I hid in the library and when I thought it was safe, I ran. I hoped to find Caleb but I never did. After a few weeks on the streets, my master found me and said that he could help me. Now...here we are."
Sabine made a small sound and Ezra gave the woman in front of him a sad smile.
"It wasn't fair what happened to you," he said."Why don't you come back to the light side?"
Seventh Sister looked at him hard before igniting his lightsaber.
"Because the Jedi were nothing but spineless cowards," she screamed swinging the blade.
Ezra pushed back against Sabine and screamed as the blade made contact with his chest.
Kanan POV
I jerked when I felt a disturbance through the force and began panicking when I heard a loud scream.
"Ezra!" I yelped running forward.
Vaguely I heard Zeb mutter a 'karabast' and run after me. It didn't take long for me to reach the command center. I slammed the door open to see my daughter trying protect herself and Ezra from being attacked by the bounty hunter.
"Stop," she begged her voice cracking. "Please stop, we won't tell anyone."
The bounty hunter snarled and raised Ezra's lightsaber for the final blow. Only I grabbed it and pulled it to me.
"Step away from my kids," I snapped stalking closer.
The figure turned and I almost gasped in surprised.
"Well," she smirked . "Seems like my plan worked ."
I gritted my teeth and held out my hand.
"As I said, step away from my kids, Inquisitor," I said as the woman flew back hitting the far wall.
"Kanan!" Zeb called as I rushed over to Ezra and Sabine.
"Are you alright?" I asked Sabine placing a hand against her cheek.
"I'm fine, mostly," she said her voice shaking. "Ezra..."
I nodded taking him carefully in my arms.
"Papa," he whimpered his eyes dulled with pain.
"I'm here now," I soothed. "Let's get you two home."
Giving one last glance over my shoulder I stood up and grabbed my comm.
Hera POV
I felt my lekku twitch in anticipation as I waited for Kanan to bring our children back.
"Kanan please hurry," I said drumming my fingers against the yoke.
Chopper beeped beside me trying to be distracting.
"I know Chop," I told him patting his dome. "But you are inside now, no scary little droids are going to attack you."
"Ghost, targets acquired, get ready to take off," Kanan called.
"Are they alright?" I asked getting the ship ready.
"No time," he said before the connection was cut.
I growled pushing the buttons a little harder. Chopper beeped quietly, fear evident.
"That's right Chopper," I spat. "Uh oh indeed, whoever hurt my babies better get ready for a world of hurt.
About five minutes later, Kanan and Zeb burst through the bay doors carrying Ezra and Sabine. I lowered the ramp and when they were on, I sped out of the hanger. Once we were in hyperspace I put the ship in auto and slid down the ladder to the cargo hold. Seeing it was empty I immediately went to the med-bay. When I found them, the guilt I felt earlier came back with vengeance. Sabine seemed fine but she stayed near Kanan as he tended to Ezra.
"Good news Son," Kanan said ruffling the boy's hair. "The slash is shallow so it won't take long for you to heal."
My sigh of relief gained their attention.
"We're really sorry Hera," Sabine said coming over to me.
"It's alright Sweetheart," I said giving her a hug and kiss on the head. "I'm just glad that all four of you are safe and sound."
"Dad," Ezra said looking up at him. "They weren't bounty hunters."
Kanan sighed and finished bandaging him up.
"I know," he said sitting down and wrapping an arm around his boy. " Those two weren't bounty hunters; they were inquisitors."
The air went cold.
"Karabast, one was bad enough. Now there's two? What are we going to do?" Zeb asked.
Seeing Kanan's troubled look I decided to step in.
"We'll get through this," I said hugging Sabine tighter.
I know we will.
I do hope you guys enjoyed. Please let me know what you thought. Have a great day!
