Book 2: Previously

Ezra was plagued by nightmares. Eventually he finds out that they were lost memories. After the discovery, problems seem to show up more and more. A mysterious Ghost is after him in specific. In a hidden temple he, Zeb and Sabine meet Garion and his wolf-like friend Alcor and above all of that find a medallion. Maia and Jonathan suddenly appeared back after a long time of being in hiding. Through a collaboration of the Inquisitor with our mysterious Ghost the rebellious crew are headed into a trap. The consequences are terrible: Ezra's body appears to have been taken over by the ghost, the Inquisitor was slain by the possessed Ezra (okay not as bad) just like Jonathan (this again is bad).

Now there is no trace of Ezra.

Jonathan may have found something that can help them, but what? He is no longer there to share it with the rebels.

Maia is broken.

The crew doesn't seem to be able to help her.

All seems lost.

Just as that one day.
