Ezra's pov

I was in the garden with my mother, while she watered plants I was picking roses. We had many different kinds, red, pink, white, black mostly, and even blue roses. My favorite was a black and blue one though.

Ezra's rose

I picked it from the bush and ran to my mom with it in my hand. "Momma look at this one!" She looked up from the ground and smiled "It's beautiful Austin!" I grinned and held it out "I picked it for you." She grabbed it and held me in an embrace "Thank you so much! I love it! Let's go inside and get some water and a vase for it okay?" "Okay." We walked to the mansion and found a vase in the kitchen. I saw some of my siblings running to us panting. "Mom there's people here!" The gathered around us and trembled in fear. "Get to the basement and sound the alarms." We immediately ran to the basement and hid. What is mom going to do?

Kanan's pov

We landed right outside of the place and knocked on the large wooden oak door. Hera stood beside me with the others in the back. All of us were armed and ready for a fight just in case things went bad. I heard movement inside and decided to bust in. I kicked down the door and looked around... Nothing, then I saw a crack so I investigated with the other close behind me. From the looks of things it was a hidden door. I looked to the others for an answer on rather to open it or not and got a nod of a yes. I quickly opened it and found a stair way leading down. We went down the stairs and what we saw surprised us greatly. Children, lots of children cowering in the corner of the dark basement. There was one though that stood out from all of them. "Extra?" I gently pulled him away from the others. He only cried and tried to get out of my grasp. While I tried to hold him still Hera tried to calm him down and the others counted the kids. "Ezra it's me Kanan. I'm here to help." I gasped when I saw his eyes clouded. All of the kids had the same thing, what did she do to them? Some sort of spell maybe? In the end other struggle Ezra resorted to screaming and calling out for, 'mom'? I had to pin him to the ground and tried to talk him out of his frantic state "Ezra it's me Kanan, I'm here to help but you need to calm down." "I don't know who you are but I'm not Ezra, my name is Austin!" I looked at Hera and she looked at me, what is wrong with him? Hera came closer to us and put a hand on Ezra's shoulder "Sweet heart I think you're a little confused, your name is Ezra." She pulled out a picture from her pocket with all of us together and laughing "See?" He seemed stunned and stopped struggling, Ezra grabbed the picture and stared at it. He then started to shake and cry "Why can't I remember?" "Aww honey... It's alright... We'll figure it out." Hera cooed pulling him in for a hug. "I feel like I know you guys... I just don't remember." That's when we heard a crash and turned around to face her, the mother of darkness.

Ezra's pov

I couldn't believe it, mom lied to me, I have family, and why can't I remember a thing about them? I looked at my mom with tears in my eyes "Is it true?" "Is wha-" "Is it true?" I asked again interrupting her mid sentence. She hung her head has tears hit the floor "It is... I only wanted the best for you. They couldn't protect you like I could, they didn't love you as much has I do. Can't you see? You belong here with me and your siblings." That's when Henry piped up "Do I have a family?" and others soon joined in "What about me?" "I want to remember!" "Did I have a different life besides this?" "What is my real name?" "Who am I?" Mom overwhelmed hushed everyone "I did what I had to do in order to insure that you guys would have a perfect life." "We don't want a perfect life! We want life!" I said through tears. The strange people claiming they know me hugged me close and tried to calm me down. Mom stood in place crying gas she watched her children fall into a sad mess of emotions. "All this time.... I thought I was saving you guys from pain, but now I realize I was causing you guys pain." She looked at her hands and smiled "I can fix this." She started to withdraw her magic and memories came back like a flood, the darkness of the mansion faded, and we could hear her border of the land fall down. Then I remembered, if she undoes this she undoes herself. "You'll die!" She smiled at me "I know but I need to fix this." I ran to her and hugged her saddened by the fact that she did actually care. "I'm glad that you've chosen a good family...... Even if it wasn't mine you chosed." She gave me one last kiss on the forehead and then faded into the night now at peace.

3 days later

I was now back home with the crew and the kids were placed back in their homes or new homes. I was glad to be home again, me and Kanan were laying down on top of the ghost star gazing. "Love you son." I smiled at Kanan's random comment "I love you too dad."
