Kanan's pov

We just got back from a opp that just went south. It turned out to be a trap and now the empire had Ezra. Right now I was in my room meditating, trying to get to Ezra through our bond. So far I was unsuccessful until... "K-Kanan please help me." I was at first startled to hear his voice but calmed down for his sake. "Ezra I'm here." He too focused and we were able to open up a connection. Now I can hear everything he hears. "Kanan please don't go, don't leave me here." "Of course not.". We kept our bond open and talked through the bond until I heard his cell door open. "Have you made your decision child?" I immediately guessed the Inquisitor. Ezra snorted "Still no." I heard a lightsaber ignite and knew what was next. "Ezra stay calm, I'm here." I heard his screams and the Inquisitor yelling lies at him such as "You're abandoned. Nobody wants you. Your master hates you." All I could do was try and counter act it with love but Ezra was falling... I thought of something I had never tried before, I haven't done it since my master had died. It was her song that she had sung to me when I was hurt or sad. Now it was my turn to give it to someone else.

As I sang I heard Ezra's screams from the lightsaber torture quiet a little as he started to calm down, knowing I was near. Once I finished the Inquisitor had left disappointed with no luck with Ezra breaking. I heard Ezra whimper and I started to cry. It broke my heart from hearing his screams while my song pierced through them. "Thanks dad." I smiled through my tears. "I'll find you, just hold on a little bit longer.".

6 hours later

We arrived to get Ezra and had started to search cells for him. I opened one and broke down when it turned out to be Ezra's cell. He was crumpled up in the corner, cut, bruised, chained, and muzzled. I scooped him up in my arms and unchained him. He whimpered while I stood up and tried to make him more comfortable in my arms. Once we got back to the ghost and headed straight for the medbay. I laid him down on the bed while Hera grabbed her supplies. Hera handed Zeb a syringe to inject him with while she grabbed the other supplies. No way Zeb was going to do the job. I ripped it out of his hands and glared at him. "I'll just wait out here." He motioned for Sabine to come with him and closed the door. I injected Ezra with the pain killers and rubbed his arm gently in the area I had injected him. He cried for a little bit and and grabbed my hand. "It's okay EB... I'm right here." I picked him up, sat on the edge of the bed, and rocked him back and forth. Hera came over and kissed his forehead. "I'll leave you guys alone for a while." She closed the door and silence filled the room. I heard Ezra mutter something so I gently shook him "You with me Ezzy?" "Yes." was all I heard. "How're you feeling?" "Like someone took a hammer to all of my body." I chuckled  "It'll get better." I ran my fingers through his hair and held him close to my chest. "Thanks daddy." I kissed his forehead "Your welcome son.".
