Ezra ran as fast as he could. He was running away from killer Imperial wolves. His paws hurt by hitting more rocks but, he didn't care. Kanan was right beside him, pushing him forward.

"Ezra! Run!" He barked. "Kanan I'm trying!" He hissed. Ezra's lapis eyes were staring at the trees passing by. He wanted to be back home but, the this...happen. "Ezra, there's a river up ahead." Kanan said.

"Good, we'll split up and try to meet when we get these pigs somewhere else." Ezra barked running faster. Kanan instantly snapped towards Ezra. "What!?" He raised his voice.

"Kanan, listen! We need to split up so we, can get the enemies away from the base, get them far, near the river. I'll try to distract a few. Now...GO!" He yelled the last word. Kanan nodded but ran as quick as he could. Ezra turn around and stick his tongue out to a wolf.

"Catch the street-wolf!" He laughed. Ezra ran ahead trying to get some dump wolves to hit a tree. Luckily, two did. Ezra smiled to that and kept going. He was hoping Kanan was ok, he knew well that the enemy has gotten better at their skills.

"Give up, rebel!" A trooper wolf snapped. "No where to run, nor hide." Ezra rolled his eyes. Oh please! He thought. Ezra jumped to a tree and scratch a wolf and tackled him to the ground. He slung his body to another wolf. Ezra ran again and decided to head near the river.

Only one wolf left on his tail. "Come on furbag! I'll be easy on you." Ezra joked. The wolf hissed and jumped straight at Ezra, but Ezra being him dodged the attack and watch the wolf go into the river and get washed away. Ok, this river isn't safe at all! He gulped. Ezra feared that Kanan might of fell in here but, he only heard a deep voice behind him.

"Hello, Jabba." Ezra huffed. "Agent Kallus...what a surprise." He smirked. "Interesting that you are here, am I not?"

Ezra only moved closer to him. "Where is my Master?" He raised his voice. "Somewhere, probably dead. Will that bother you?"

"Only if you shut up. I know he alive." Ezra snapped. "He's not, far gone my friend." Since when did we become friends? He asked himself.

Ezra grew impatient and needed to make a plan, fast! "Ezra!" Kanan called. Kanan only stopped to see Kallus. He growled deeply and jumped to Ezra's side.

"You care for the brat, like it's your child." Kallus laughing at the way Kanan only stood tall. "I do, like my Crew. Lay a finger on him, your dead!" Kallus was amazed by what Kanan was saying. Why not I take the child from him? See how the Jedi reacts. He felt an idea hatch.

"Well, let me...take him!" He pounced on Ezra who hesitated and plunged to the ground. "Hey!" Ezra barked. Ezra pushed his paws on Kallus stomach and push him off as Ezra was trying to keep his balance. Unfortunately, Ezra lost his balance and fell into the river.

"Ahhhh!" He cried as the waves carried him. Kanan jumped to the scream and watch in horror as Ezra was getting swept away. "Ezra!" Kanan yelled. Kallus got back up and snuck up behind him. "You...ever hurt him again, you will pay..." Kanan whispers as he swept around and clawed Kallus on his side and ran after Ezra.

"KANAN! HELP!" Ezra yelped as he tried to keep his head up. Kanan ran faster than he ever could in his life. Ezra was trying hard to keep his head up, when seeing Kanan's speed, he knew he would be safe.

"Ezra, I'm coming! Hang on!" Kanan blinked at when Ezra grabbed hold of a branch. Now's my chance! Kanan jumped across the river and Ezra jumped with joy. "Ezra...Grab my paw." Ezra was pretty much bitting on the stick.

"Ezra...trust me..." Ezra only was an inch away from Kanan's paw, he knew he couldn't make it. As soon as Ezra moved. The branch broke! Ezra was pushed by the rushing water and was carried away.

Kanan jumped into the water and swam towards Ezra, trying to get to safety. "Ezra, it's ok...I'm coming to get you!" Kanan said, swimming right next to Ezra. "Kanan...Thank you..." Ezra smiled. Kanan grabbed Ezra by his fur. It didn't hurt the kid but, Kanan tried his best to pull him up near the edge.

Ezra screamed when he saw the edge, the water fall. Which was where the base was at. Kanan felt his heart dropped. Deep water down there, mostly for drinks. Ezra only gripped the rocks more. Kanan's dark brown fur was waving at the wind and wet from the water. His emerald eyes focus Ezra.

Ezra's blue eyes then looked towards the water fall. He knew he wasn't gonna make it to land, not this way. He wished for a miracle to happen. "Ezra, pull up kid!" Kanan called to him. Ezra didn't pay attention, he kept looking down.

"Ezra! No!" Kanan blinked. "Kanan, I'm sorry, but..." Ezra pushed Kanan up onto a rock while he let go and saw the water, he closed his eyes as he hits the cold water.

Kanan only stood still until Ezra's body hit the water. "Ezra!" Kanan cried. He saw Hera run out, along with Ashoka and Zeb. Kanan only growled and done....jump into the water!

"Kanan!" Ashoka and Hera yelled at the same time. Zeb think quick and jumped in the water where Kanan landed at. Yet, Kanan was under water looking for his Padawan. His green orbs where blurry underwater but, he could see fine. Kanan saw a familiar fur color. Ezra.

Kanan swam down and grabbed Ezra. When Kanan felt a paw grabbed himself he immediately almost screamed but knew it was Zeb. Zeb pulled both Kanan and Ezra up to sore. Ezra was still, while Kanan thrashed from Zeb's hold. "Oh my...is he...?" Zeb voice cracked.

"Ezra?"Ashoka whispered. Kanan nudge the still wolf. He felt his heart shatter into pieces. All the memories. All the fun they had all of the close things they shared. Broken, let go of. Kanan placed his head on Ezra's small one. A tear fell on his face, causing Ashoka and Hera to know that Kanan was crying.

Zeb was a bit shocked. Kanan has never cried around anyone. This was new to him. "I'm sorry Ezra, I am. Please forgive...me...please." He said with pure sadness. "Kanan...your......." Hera said.

"Kanan?" A tiny voice squealed. Kanan looked down. "Ezra?" He said. "Surprise, I'm alive..." Ezra joked. Kanan couldn't help but rap his tail around Ezra. "I thought I lost you." Ezra laughed.

"You didn't." Ezra rubbed his head against Kanan's shoulder. "I love you, father." Kanan choked on tears. Father? I'm his father! Kanan blinked and hugged Ezra back with his paw. "Love you to, son."
