Zeb POV

"Garion." Ezra whispered.

"Yeah, that's mostly me." The man did not seem at ease after hearing that name.

"What do you mean?" Sabine asked.

"Well ..." he hesitated and his eyes felled on Ezra who was staring confused at him. "Perhaps it is best that we sit down for this. Follow me."

The three of us followed him with the wolf behind us. The creature sniffed constantly at Ezra who jump aside every time. "Alcor! Leave that!" The man glared at the creature who immediately pressed his ears flat against his head. "Do not pay attention to him Ezra. You know him, you just do not remember him. You played a lot together a few years ago." He rolled his eyes. "You should have heard how guilty he felt after he had frightened you, but yes something about that smell of a Lasat that masked your sense."

Garion looked back at him and walked further.

Wait a second. "Hey! I don't smell that bad!"

No response of Ezra?

That made me worry about him. He stared sadly at Alcor.

What do he mean with you just don't remind him? How did he know? I mean Ezra remembered the man right? Why not Alcor?

"Welcome to my place." Garion brought me out of my questions flow.

We stood on a square as before. Only here was also a cottage. "You live here?" Sabine asked as she looked around curiously. "Not really." Garion scratched his neck. "I actually don't need any sleep. I just got it. "

"You never sleep?" Ezra asked, in his voice was disbelief.

"Time stands still here." We gave him all three a puzzled look. "It will explain it in a minut than it will make sense. Mostly. Have patience."

He went inside the hut and motioned us to follow. It was quite bare within only four beanbags. Was he expecting us? What was wrong with this place?

The man sat down. Ezra and Sabine did the same. I hesitated first but sat also down very uncomfortable. Uch these things sat terrible.

"Well, I will explain to you everything I can explain."

From the corner of my eye I saw Ezra already opening his mouth. Garion pointed a finger at him. "And you, don't you dare to open your mouth while I talk."

Sabine chuckled and I struggled to keep my laugh. Ezra hit his irritated eyes down and was silent like he was commanded.

"So good. Okey, I am Garion, but also not." He began. Right away I was confused. How could you been someone and not at the same time? "Seventeen years ago I was a temple guard on Coruscant for the Jedi order. However, we guards have no name and we were not supposed to talk or remove our masks that's why. "

But he did have a name? And his mask? And I think we were now still having a nice conversation. At least he was talking.

"Your father," He looked at Ezra. "Ephraim, didn't really like the Jedi laws."

"Wait, my father was a Jedi?" Popped out of him.

Garion gave him an angry look and continued to stare at him. I rolled my eyes. "Yes Ephraim Bridger was a Jedi. After it was discovered that he had a relationship with Mira and dealt with me as a friend, he was put out of the order. I was sent to this temple where I found Alcor. Do not ask me what kind of thing he is. And yes I can communicate with him through the force."

Ezra's mouth opened again, but after seeing the look of the man, he closed it again immediately. "Yes this is a Jedi temple." He answered Ezra's unasked question. "But not one like that you know and where you have your Kyber crystal from. This is a completely different temple with only two purposes: you bring something towards this so that it is protected or you'll get something that only to you and only to you belongs" He paused. "And your bloodline of course." He added.

"Your father discovered after a year that I was sent to Lothal and visited me. Then he gave me the name Garion. You know, because I'm some kind of Gardian. Your dad had a special sense of humor. Well so your father came here often along and introduced me to your mother. Friendly woman."

Ezra seemed rather uncomfortable with the fact that Garion was talking that way about his parents.

Poor kid.

"Oh, and the first time I saw you," Garions voice tone had changed to something cheerful. "So small that you was and the two were laughing when I held you the first time. I'm really a disaster with children. "

"That's a baby Garion" my mother had said."

This time he was not angry because Ezra interrupted. "Indeed. Your father came down still occasionally along with you and then there was the last time I saw him." Garions face fell. Alcor sitting next to him, seemed to notice the sudden change of mind and he put his big head in his lap. The man stroked the giant creature and there appeared a half smile that once he started talking again disappeared. He hit his eyes and kept stroking Alcor. "I had never seen your father so seriously. And you almost six, I think you were, didn't understand a single thing. When your father asked something I always regreted."

Ezra's face was filled with confusion. Garion hit his eyes. "Remove your memories."

Ezra jumped up. "Wowhowwo! My memories? "

"Ezra take it easy. We had a good reason. "

"A good reason? Oh I want to hear. "

"Is that sarcasm?"

"Of course!" Ezra shouted at the man.

"Ezra let him explain it and then you can possibly yell at him." Sabine tried to calm him? Strange way.

Ezra surly sat back down. Garion breathed in deeply. "Your father thought he could protect you in that way. How it is that you knew about this place, I have no idea. "

"Oh, that is the fault of the two voices in his head." I joked.

Garions face was deadly serious. His head snapped toward Ezra. "Please tell me he means those two dumbbells Light and Dark."

"Light and Dark?" Sabine looked at me, but I gave her the sign that I also knew of nothing.

"Nothing import." Ezra answered her question. He turned to Garion. Frankly Ezra seemed to be off his bad temper. "I haven't seen those two since I was maybe twelve or thirteen."

"Oh!" I understood him now. Everyone looked at me now. "You mean those two votes where Maia was talking about when you was going crazy."

Sabine, her eyes widened and her mouth become a line.

O karabast...
