What if Ezra was blind?

    They escaped but Ezra didn't get the happily ever after. Maul betrayed them and blinded his son who was hugging him. "Let me bandage your eyes." Kanan said small and Ezra sat up. Kanan wrapped his son's eyes and sniffed. Ezra lifted his head and asked, "Dad? What's wrong?" Kanan wiped his eyes and crouched in front of his son.

  "Nothing." He lied and Ezra could tell. "Dad, is it because what happened?" Ezra asked and fumbled but got his hand on Kanans shoulder. Kanans heart broke and he held his son. Ezra hugged him back and said, "If anyones to blame its me. I trusted Maul when I shouldn't."

  Kanan pulled back from the hug and said, "No its not your fault, its Maul's." Ezra smiled and Kanan hugged him. "I love you son." Kanan mumbled into his son's hair.

  "I love you Dad."

  Kanan held Ezra's hand and led him back outside. Kanan saw Hera and she felt sick when she saw Ezra's eyes. The crew and Rex met with Kanan and Ezra and everyone broke when they saw Ezra. Sabine and Zeb shared a look and Hera hugged Ezra.

Kanan held Ezras hand and they walked to the med-bay. Hera went with them and Rex sighed.

  Sabine and Zeb looked at him Sabine asked, "What?" Rex faced her with a sad look. "The poor kid isn't gonna be himself anymore."

  Ezra was having a nightmare and it was him feeling death and sensing everyone dying. Ezra sensed the Sister and Brother and the Sister started using the force to torchure him. Ezra screamed and cried out which Zeb woke up.

Zeb got up and tried waking the kid. Zeb panicked then Hera and Sabine showed up. "Karabast! Where's Kanan?" Zeb asked and Hera paled which was lighter shade of green.

"He was sent on an important mission. He's not coming back in a few days." Hera said and Ezra let out a scream. Hera jumped up next to Ezra and shook him. "Ezra wake up!" She shouted and Ezra just cried out like he was in pain. Hera panicked then quickly said, "Wake up for Kanan! For your Dad!"

Ezra bolted up when he heard Kanans name and panicked when he couldn't see. "Dad?! Dad?!" Ezra called out and Hera held his hand.

"Kanans out on that mission, Ezra." Hera sadly told him and Ezra was panicking still. Sabine noticed and said, "He's having a panick attack!" Hera widened her eyes and placed Ezras hand on her sternum.

  "Breathe Ezra, with me. In and out, in, out." Hera did this and soon Ezra calmed down. Hera hand motioned Zeb and Sabine to leave. Ezra wiped tears away and Hera sqeeuzed his hand. "Ezra, he's coming back in a few days." She said and Ezra sniffed.

"Come here Ezra." Hera said and Ezra scooted to her slowly. He hugged her and she hugged him. "I wish Dad was here." Ezra said into her shoulder and she rubbed his back.

  Hera smiled and said, "Come with me." She hopped down and helped Ezra get down. Ezra fixed himself and held Hera's hand. She led him to her room and sat down on the bed.

  "Wanna tell me?" She asked and Ezra sighed. "I sensed death and the Sister and Brother torchured me. I know they're dead but, it just scared me." Ezra said and leaned into Hera's touch.

  Hera hugged him and Ezra smiled. Hera became a Mom to him and Kanan was his Dad so he technically he had parents. Hera laid them down and Ezra snuggled into her side and fell asleep.

  It was a week until Kanan came back and Ezra had nightmares and Hera helped her son. Ezra was in the common room with Hera not knowing Kanan was meeting them later. Ezra was resting against Hera while she played with his hair.

  It reminded him of his mom when she would just hold him back then. "Hey Hera?" Ezra nervously asked. He wanted to tell Hera she was like his new mom. "Yeah sweetheart?" She asked amd Ezra just felt like he was home. He is home.

   "Um, I just wanted to tell you, that I thought of you, as a...mom" Ezra said and Hera grinned. She hugged him tight and he hugged her back. "I love you son." She said and Ezra relaxed. "I love you mom."

  Sabine ran in and sqeauled at the sight. "Kanans meeting us at Garel!" She shouted and Ezra jumped in excitment. "Let's go Mom!" Ezra shouted and smacked into the table. "Ah!" Ezra fell and Sabine helped him and they ran off while Hera smiled and went to pilot the ship.

  "We almost there?" Ezra asked the millionth time. "Almost," Hera said and they were still in hyperspace. "Ugh." Ezra groaned amd Zeb chuckled. "I almost forgot! I made you something!" Sabine said and ran off while Ezra fumbled to sit down. Zeb helped him and Ezra smiled sheepishly.

Sabine came back with a mask and said, "Ezra, I'm gonna put this on you so hang on." She walked up to Ezra and slid a mask on him. "What's this?" Ezra asked amd Sabine smiled.

  "A mask, its orange and green." Sabine said and Ezra smiled. "Thanks." Ezra said and Sabine sat in her chair and talked to him. "We're here." Hera announced.

  Ezra hopped up and tried running out but smacked into the wall. He fell and Hera groaned. She landed the ship and heard the Phantom conncet. "I sense him!" Ezra exclaimed and Sabine held his hand.

  "Calm down speeder!" Sabine said and led Ezra outside with Hera and Zeb.

  They ran down the ramp and Ezra bounced around. Sabine held him back and Hera saw Kanan come around. "Dad!" Ezra yelled and Kanan grinned. Ezra ran to Kanan but ran into a crate. Kanan felt his heart break.

"Where are you?" Ezra asked and hung his head. Kanan went to Ezra and hugged him. "Right here. Never leaving you my child."

  Ezra buried his face into Kanan and smiled. "I missed you." Ezra mumbled and Kanan smiled.
