Kanan and the crew were back at Garel to get some information from a source but soon the man was working for the Empire. So they were running late at night from the seventh sister and the brother. Hera blasted a trooper down and shouted in the comms to Chopper.

"Kanan!" Ezra screamed and everyone turned around to see Ezra fighting the sister and brother. "Ezra!" Kanan shouted and started attacking. Ezra was cornered and the sister knocked him out. Kanan was thrown back with the force by the sister and they took off carrying his son. Sabine picked up Ezra's lightsaber and Kanan clipped it to his belt.

"Follow me!" Kanan shouted and took off chasing the inquisitors. The brother behind the sister too far and saw the rebels. "They're gaining on us! We must hurry to-!" The brother saying but a shot hit his armored hand and looked back to see Sabine holding her blaster out.

Kanan took the moment and shoved the brother to a wall on the empty street with the force. Kanan quickly swiped the lightsaber from the brother and Zeb punched him.

Sabine walked forward and shackled him. "What do we do?" Hera asked and Kanan said, "Wait for him to wake up."

In fact, Kanan didn't have to wait. The brother woke up and realized he was handcuffed and surrounded. "Guess I didn't punch him hard enough," Zeb said and Hera held him back.

Kanan crouched to his face and growled. "Where did she take my padawan?" Kanan asked and the brother chuckled. "I'm not saying." He said and Kanan sighed.

"Tell me or I'm gonna make sure you tell." Kanan threatened and the brother looked at him. "You care about him. Hmm, not going to be happy when she's through with him." The brother said.

Kanan felt anger. He got in his face and snarled. "Tell me or you won't face me." He warned and the brother chuckled. "He's going to sqeaul and then die." Kanan stopped. He stood up and turned around.

"Last chance." Kanan said and the crew grew worried. "He's already dead." Kanan spun towards him. "I warned you." Kanan said amd drew his lightsaber out and pointed it in the brother's face.

"Tell me!" Kanan shouted and the crew watched horrified at Kanan. "He's weak and pathetic. He's dead now because you couldn't save him."

Kanan felt rage. Kanan reached his hand out and force choked the brother. "I thought Jedi don't take revenge." The brother gasped.

Kanan glared and got in his face. "The Jedi have been dead and so have the rules. No rules are stopping me." Kanan said and the brother was scared.

Kanan sqeeuzed tighter and watched the brother claw at his neck. "Where. Is. My. Son?" Kanan asked and the brother didn't say. Kanan was closing his fist until someone shouted his name.

"Kanan!" Hera shouted and Kanan realized what he was doing. He dropped the brother and looked at Hera with a glare. The crew stared at him with fear. "Leave him." Kanan said and made the brother sleep. But he accidently dropped the lightsaber and walked away.

The crew chased after him and Hera shouted at him. "What was that?!" She said and Kanan spun to her and was in her face. They backed off amd Kanan realized they were afraid of him.

"Kanan?!" Hera shouted and he growled. "What do you want? I need to find Ezra!" He shouted and she stared him. "You almost killed the inquisitor without a thought." She said.

Kanan tucked his lightsaber away. "I wasn't thinking." He said and Hera huffed. "No kidding, you choked the guy." Kanan snarled at her and yelled, "I need to find where my child is!"

Everyone stared in shock and Kanan walked off with the crew after him. Kanan climbed a building and hopped to the roof and used the force to find Ezra.

Ezra woke up to being carried and panicked. He fell on the ground and saw the sister smirk at him. "Your friends aren't coming for you." She said and Ezra snorted.

"You suck at trying to scare me." He retorted and ran. The sister chased him and Ezra escaped his bonds and used the force to shove a crate at the sister. He jumped to a roof and ran and jumped over rooftops.

He pulled his comm out and called Chopper. "Chop?! Tell Kanan I'm free!" He shouted and jumped over a rooftop and landed gracefully and ran.

He tucked his comm away after Chopper did what he was told and ran. "You can't run!" The sister yelled and Ezra yelled, "To late sista!"

Ezra laughed and jumped and the sister was catching up. Ezra was going to where Chopper said where Kanan was but the sister almost got him.

Ezra jumped over a roof and saw a figure in front of him but far away. He jumped over a roof but the sister used the force to slam a crate at him and Ezra tumbled to the roof and cried in pain from the impact and hit his head hard.

The sister kicked Ezra in the stomach and said, "Now when you tell me everything I kill you." She kicked him again and Ezra got up.

"Listen I know you don't like me but can we do this sometime never?" Ezra said and used the force to throw bricks at her but she ducked.

"You are a terrible padawan." She said amd punched him and Ezra fell to the ground hurt.

Kanan and the crew saw Ezra get hit by a crate from the sister and Kanan ran to him. They saw Ezra fight her and get kicked and punched. Kanan ignited his lightsaber and tasted revenge.

Ezra got punched again and gasped. He sensed he had a rib broken and cracked another and felt blood on his knee. Crates are evil, Ezra thought and used the force to throw bricks but she dodged.

The sister raised her lightsaber and striked down at Ezra but he summouned a lot of force energy and used the force to block her blow.

The sister stared in shock and Ezra grinned. The sister went to strike again and before Ezra could block again, a blue lightsaber blocked the red.

Ezra grinned at Kanan and saw Chopper bring the Ghost and hover the ship near them. Kanan quickly force pushed her off the roof to hundreds of roofs back.

Kanan tucked his lightsaber away and crouched by Ezra. "Ezra.." Kanan whispered and hugged him and Ezra hugged him back then fell back on his back.

"Ezra?!" Kanan shouted and Ezra passed out. Kanan scooped his son in his arms and they jumped all in the ship and Chopper took off.

Kanan and everyone waited for five days for Ezra to wake up. Kanan was lost without his son and stayed with him and only left to shower, eat, change and did nothing else.

Hera walked in and said, "We waited too long to talk about what happened when we rescued Ezra." Kanan sighed and reluctantly followed her to the common room.

Everyone was there even Chopper and he was filled in. Hera stood next to everyone while Kanan stood near the doorway.

"Even though he is our enemy, you acted on emotion and you say that is not the jedi way." Hera said and Kanan chuckled amd everyone shared a look.

"You don't know anything about the Jedi." Kanan said and looked at her. "I know you said they don't act on emotion. You acted on anger and almost killed." Hera said and Kanan shuddered at the thought of what he did.

"The jedi-" Hera was cut off by Kanan. "You don't know anything about the Jedi! You act like you do! You weren't there when the Order happened!" Kanan shouted and Hera said calmly, "Then tell me."

Kanan glared at her and said, "That's not something I'm talking about." Hera glared and said, "We tell you everything and yet you don't tell us anything!"

Kanan growled at her and said, "You want to know? Well how about this." Everyone faced him.

"How about knowing the younglings were killed? Knowing that all the masters were killed by the people you trusted your life with?" Kanan was raising his voice now and everyone felt guilt.

"How about knowing the only home you had was gone? Knowing and watching your master die to save you? Knowing you would be hunted your whole life because being a jedi? You may now hear what I told you but you won't fully know what it was like!" Kanan shouted and everyone flinched.

"Kanan..." Hera said softly and Kanan slumped. "Being a Jedi also sucks when you feel all of it and the death." Kanan said smally and Hera and the others apologized.

"I almost killed him because I wanted to protect my child." Kanan said. "Your child?" Sabine asked and Kanan sighed.

"Me and Ezra grew stronger than ever and I always thought of Ezra like a son. He said I was like a father to him amd we became father and son. I wanted to protect my child and I acted on anger. Hera you were right and I'm sorry for snapping at you amd everyone." Kanan said and they joined a group hug.

Kanan pulled back and said, "Well now I must be with my son." He walked away and Sabine looked at Hera. "He and Ezra grew closer than any of us. Dang." She said stunned.

When Kanan walked back to Ezra in the med-bay, he saw him sitting up. "Ezra!" Kanan shouted and hugged him. Ezra hugged him back and asked, "How long was I out?" Kanan let go and said, "Five days. You have a cracked and a broken rib with a scrapped knee."

Ezra laid against Kanan and Kanan wrapped an arm around him. "There's something you should know and I acted on anger." Kanan said and Ezra looked up at him.

"Tell me." Ezra said and Kanan did. Ezra just held Kanan's hamd and said, "You wanted to find me. Just don't listen to the bad guys and use your head." Kanan chuckled amd later that day, everyone celebrated Ezra was alive and ate pie.

And Kanan held his child while Ezra dreamed of peace that night.
