Ezra was sitting far away from the Ghost from Kanan. Ezra just couldn't bring himself to talk to Kanan ever since he was blind. He just felt too much guilt and pain. Ezra played with the dirt and hugged his knees to his chest.

Ezra rested his cheek against his knee and felt the warm sun against him and while he felt relaxed, he couldn't shake the guilt away.

Kanan was walking into the common room trying to find Ezra. Ezra was hiding his force signature so it was hard. Sabine and everyone were sitting in the common room talking about something but when they saw Kanan, everything got quiet.

Hera sighed and spoke. "You should get some rest." Kanan groaned and felt anger. "Stop telling me I need rest. I may not have my vision, but I have the force. But what I need is my son." He said and everyone shared a look.

Sabine started speaking now. "He told me he wanted to be alone. Won't say." She said uncertain if she just exposed where he was.

Kanan sighed and said, "Tell now, its important." Sabine felt everyones stare and looked at the table. "He's outside," She said smally and he quickly marched out.

Kanan walked around and crouched down to the earth. He spread his palm against the ground and focused. He sensed footprints the size of Ezra's feet and grinned.

Kanan got up and started walking quietly to Ezra.

Ezra felt sleepy but stayed up in case Hera needed him. Ezra didn't sense Kanan right behind him. "Hey son." Ezra jumped and made a squeak. Kanan stood there and Ezra felt awkward. "May I join you?" Kanan asked and Ezra wasn't sure.

"I guess." Ezra said and Kanan sat down next to him. Ezra felt guilt seeing the bandages around his eyes and looked away. Kanan felt his emotions and turned to Ezra.

"Ezra, don't blame yourself." Kanan said and Ezra faced him. Ezra sniffed and felt tears. Kanan reached out and touched his shoulder. Ezra stiffened and Kanan smiled. "Don't cry. I'm not mad and it wasn't your fault." Kanan said gently and Ezra threw himself at Kanan.

Ezra wrapped his arms around amd Kanan smiled. He wrapped his arms around his son. "I love you Dad." Ezra said into his shoulder. "I love you, son." Kanan said and Ezra burrowed deep into the hug.

Ezra was falling asleep and Kanan smiled. Kanan lifted Ezra and carried him back to the ship. Kanan sighed and almost tripped. Kanan finally got in and Zeb and Sabine saw him.

No one asked and Kanan walked to his room. He heard the door open and laid Ezra on the bed. Kanan laid down also and Ezra snuggled into him. Kanan wrapped his arms around him and fell asleep.
