There is hope
Russan. Now known as Ma'vas sat outside in the icy wind. Her hair was now chalk-white and her eyes were blood red. The person who and promised to make the pain go away, they did. However, it was replaced by something else. She had gotten power like her mother's. The power of ice the same as her mothers.
She now just wondered around. She left the person who had given her this new life, but she had a home there if she ever needed. However, she didn't travel alone. She traveled with a guy by the name of Ka'tar. He was also a son of a clone, he never told her who, though. She never asked and he never asked about her past. It was just the way things were and they like it that way.
"Still awake?" asks Ka'tar coming to sit next to her. "I am," she says looking at her. They then sat in silence. Just sitting in the cold wind and watched the snow slowly fall from a dark gray sky. Ma'vas never minded the cold and Ka'tar seemed to be able to live in any weather with just his black pants and black t-shirt and dark gray hoodie.
"Do you ever wear anything else?" Ma'vas asks him looking at him. "Why? This works and it's comfortable." He replied. She just nods and shrugs a bit. It's been over ten years, Ma'vas was in her early 20's and she wasn't sure how old Ka'tar was. He was around Ma'vas's age. Maybe older.
"Ka'tar?" She suddenly asks.
"Yeah?" He replies.
"Do you believe that the people who have died can watch over us and protect us?" She asks not sure what came over to ask this. Ka'tar was silent and then asks, "Why do you want to know?"
"Just cuz," she said her voice icy cold as normal. Ka'tar takes some time to think then says, "Well considering the fact that I had to deal with five force ghosts. I don't see why not." He then looks at her and asks, "You want to know if you parents are watching you?"
Her gaze turns dark, "They better not be..." she says spitting on the ground.
"You hate them," He says. She turns to him her eyes burned. "Don't you dear do that to me." she hisses. Ka'tar could read people like a book and know what they were thinking just by their facial expressions.
He just nods and she turns and looks up at the sky where snow fell on her face. A memory of when she was four came to her and it was off when she and her parents took her to ice skate and just play in the snow. She shut her eyes and pushes the memory away. "You can look at it this way. No matter what they would have died, we all die at some point. Who would want to live forever and just watch everyone you care for die." He suddenly says.
She looks at him and a small smirk comes to her lips. "You're so weird." She says. He just gives her a grin and says, "Show me someone who isn't and some food that's going to take over the world."
She gives a rear laugh and she looks at him and shakes her head. "So weird." She mutters.
"Alright. I'm heading to bed. Goodnight, Mav." He says and goes to his into his tent. She now sits alone again outside. She looks at the sky, she had such hatred to her parents and all her family. Her dad died and she wasn't told. Her mom killed herself and her brother went missing. Her uncles didn't bother to look for her when she was gone.
She shut her eyes and let out a breath seeing it painted against the cold air before vanishing into the darkness. She stands up and shakes her head and goes into her tent and lays down. She let's her eyes close and she dirfted off to sleep.
