You ran through the halls with the transmission in your hands. "Leia," you gasped. "Vader is here. These are the plans for the Empire's new weapon. We need to leave, now!" Leia nodded.

"Alright, (Y/N)." Leia took the transmission and hurried to the escape pods. But the Imperial officers were approaching quickly. You had no time. You watched the door, blaster ready, as Leia gave the transmission to the blue and white droid at her feet. Then the stormtroopers burst into the room. You shot two of them, killing the stormtroopers, then you felt yourself get hit, and you fell to the floor.

You woke up in a holding cell a few hours later. Leia was beside you. She looked tired. Still, she smiled at you when she noticed that you were awake. "Hey," she whispered. "This really sucks."

"Yeah," you agreed. "Vader took my lightsaber." Leia winced.

"Sorry about that. I tried to stop him, I swear."

"It's fine." You pulled yourself to your feet. You could hear blasters firing, and people shouting. Three men rounded the corner, and you began to grin like a maniac. Two, a scruffy looking brunette and a blond, blue-eyed, innocent looking boy, were wearing stormtrooper uniforms. The other, tan, dark-haired, with a short beard, was wearing a thick coat, trousers, and shiny black boots.

"Cassian," you shrieked, pounding on the window of your cell. He grinned when he saw you. He gestured to the other two and ran over to your cell. As soon as he opened the door, you flew into his arms, hugging him tightly. Cassian hugged you back, lifting you an inch or two off the floor. "I missed you," he whispered into your hair. You smiled into his chest.

"I missed you, too."

*Time Skip*

Yes! You smirked as you shot down another TIE Fighter. You were flying with the Pheonix Squadron, since your team, Rouge One, was resting after helping Han, the scruffy brunette, and Luke, the blond, blue-eyed, innocent looking one, rescue you.

Blast! Another one down. You continued to fire on the TIE Fighters, keeping them off Luke's back so that he could destroy the Death Star. The downside was you had to watch as your friends were blasted, and their ships fell into the inky blackness. It only made you fight harder. You were close to unstoppable.

Until you got shot. You panicked as you fought for control of your X-wing. You could feel the small ship falling through space. You managed to direct it towards Yavin 4, but you crashed when you landed. All you felt was your arm going numb, and then you blacked out.

When you came to, you saw Cassian sitting beside you. You saw relief flood his face as he watched you wake up. You smiled up at him. He grinned back at you. "Come on," he said, extending his hand. "We have a celebration to go to." You took Cassian's hand, confused.

"A celebration?" Cassian nodded emphatically.

"Yup. Luke destroyed the Death Star!" You grinned as Cassian pulled you to your feet and took your free hand. The other was wrapped in a cast.

*Time Skip*

It was almost midnight. You were drunk, as were most people at the party, and dancing with Cassian. Neither of you could stop giggling. "Cassian," you laughed, "Have I ever lold you I tove you?" You laughed even harder. "I'm sorry. Have I ever told you I love you?"

"No," Cassian said.

"Well, I love you very, very, very much. I've loved you since the day I met you." Wait. What did you just say? Suddenly, you were sober. Cassian was, too.

"Really," he asked. "You're not joking?"

"No," you said softly. Cassian smiled a little bit. "But, there's something I need to tell you." You took a deep breath. "I'm training to be a Jedi. My parents are Kanan and Hera Syndulla." Cassian was quiet. "I'm sorry if this changes anything, Cassian. I'm really, really sorry." Cassian stopped moving and took your hands.

"Don't be," he said. "I don't care if you're a Jedi, Stardust. I love you." Happy tears welled up in your eyes.

"You called me Stardust." Cassian blushed and kissed you. You grinned and kissed him back. At that moment, the past and future didn't matter. All there was was the present.
