Them finding out

Rex hands Tech an algorithm.

"You're looking for a programme using this sequence." Rex frowns.

Tech searches through the database for a while, then nods, "Found it. This is strange... It's not a programme, it's a live signal, from... another planet. Skako Minor."

Rex asks, "A live signal?"

Tech frowns, "This is audible."

Rex orders, "Patch me in. I wanna hear it."

A strange noise sounds, confusing the two clones. Rex frowns, worried.

"It sounds almost... Almost human." Tech frowns.

Rex whispers, "It can't be..." He then orders, "Tech, find out who's sending that signal. Ask who that is."

The computer responds, "CT-1409. Y/N. CT-1409. Y/N."

Rex stares in shock at the first name, "I don't believe it."

"Let's go." Hunter orders.

Rex continues to stare as the computer continues repeating the information.

"Rex, now!" Hunter orders.

Rex runs out of the room, firing at the droids.

***

As the group escapes, Tech turns to Rex, confused.

"That number, Captain. What did it mean?" Tech asks.

Rex answers, "CT-1409 was Echo's number. He's alive."

"But what was that other name, Captain? Y/N?" Tech asks.

Rex shrugs, "I don't know about that one."

*Giant time skip*

"You clones are so predictable!" Wat Tambor smirks.

Rex growls, "Wat Tambor."

Wat Tambor smirks through the technology, "Your algorithm predicted nearly every move you made to infiltrate Purkoll."

"There is no algorithm! We know you're holding a prisoner of war here!" Rex yells.

"Prisoner? I have no idea what you mean, Captain!" Wat Tambor scoffs.

Rex glares, "I am leaving here with my friend!"

Wat Tambor smirks, "Your friends are dead! Their minds are ours!"

Rex glares, "Liar!" ignoring the fact Tambor said "Their" instead of "His".

Droids surround the clones.

"Execute them!" Wat orders.

The transmission cuts out as the droids attack the clones, the clones fighting back quite easily. Anakin destroys a dozen droids, helping the clones.

*Time skip again*

Rex and Tech walk into the room Echo should be in to see two strange pods.

Rex frowns, "I don't like the look of this."

Tech starts to hack into the console, air escaping the pods.

"I'm definitely picking up two life forms in those. They seem to be stasis chambers. I think I can get them open." Tech frowns.

The pods open up, two bodies almost falling out if it weren't for the tubes attached to their bodies. One Rex recognises as Echo, only with machinery attached to him, missing both legs and an arm, replaced with robotic limbs. The other a female human, pale skin and patches of H/C hair, her eyes glazed over like Echo's. Her right arm replaced with a robotic one, her left leg in the same predicament.

"Tech, we gotta get them out of there! Figure out how to unplug them from... from this mess." Rex orders, pulling down Echo first, then helping down the girl.

Rex pulls off his helmet, looking at Echo and the girl.

"What have they done to you?" He asks.

Echo sits up, whispering, "We... We have to get to the shuttle... to escape the Citadel. No! I'll go first."

Rex holds Echo, frowning, "Echo. Echo, it's Rex, I'm here."

Echo finally comes to his senses, looking at Rex.

"Rex? You... You came back for me." Echo whispers.

Rex nods, "Yes, Yes I did."

Echo asks, "What happened? Where am I?"

"It's okay, Echo. You're safe now. Just sit tight, Trooper. We're going home."

The girl starts singing softly, "When everything's lost, they pick up their hearts
And avenge defeat
Before it all starts, they suffer through harm
Just to touch a dream..."

"Check on the girl." Tech orders, checking on Echo.

Rex nods, touching the girl's arm, only for her to snap to him, throwing her arm towards his neck, barely missing as she slurs her words tiredly, "I'mmmmm not your pet, Tampon. I'll riiiiip you open lllllike a lobsterrrr and mmmmake you eat yerrrr own stomach, Tambor."(No, it's not a spelling mistake, it's either her making fun of him or she just mispronounced his name. Take your pick.)

***

Y/N feels air hitting her skin as the pod is opened. Her eyes are open like they always are, but she can't see anything. She feels herself falling forwards, but the information being forced into her brain for processing numbs any feeling. She barely registers she's on the floor. It must be Wat Tambor back, "fixing" his stupid "algorithm". She knew the human brain was the most powerful computer, but this is ridiculous. All she's been feeding the algorithm is music and curses because she refuses to let them get past her mind's walls. She doesn't even register herself singing, barely hearing anything over the computer's orders through her brain. Something touches her arm, making her reach out to where she's hoping the possible attackers neck is, feeling she's missed him.

"I'mmmmm not your pet, Tampon. I'll riiiip you open lllike a lobsterrrr and mmmake you eat er own stomach, Tambor." Y/N tries to threaten her attacker she's sure is Tambor.

A comforting voice asks, "Kid, can you hear me?"

Y/N shakes her head, trying to clear the haze in her mind. As her vision comes back partially, her eyes land on some familiar white and blue armour. She trails up to his face, her pale E/C eyes glistening in hope as she recognises the blond male in front of her as the computer continues to screech at her orders in her mind.

"I knew you'd come for him, Captain. You had to save him. I'm just an extra target." She smiles weakly.

Rex asks, "You know me?"

She chuckles, "Not personally, sir. You're here, that means..."

"We're getting you out of here. You must be Y/N." Rex smiles.

Y/N nods weakly, muttering about pulling out Tambor's organs as Anakin walks in, putting his lightsabre away. Y/N lands her eyes on his brown hair, glad she can recognise him.

"Situation's almost under control out there. How's it going in here?" He asks.

"Hey, look at those locks. So dark, so wavy." Y/N smiles tiredly, as if she's drunk, pointing to Anakin's hair.

Tech answers Anakin, "I'm still trying to decrypt Echo's and Y/N's cerebral interface. Until I do, we cannot disconnect them from this computer system."

Y/N groans, "Do it faster. I don't like being a kriffing puppet, hooked up to a string. Can't think straight."

Anakin asks, "How are they, Rex?"

Rex responds about Echo, "They're too weak to walk. Very disoriented. Echo doesn't even remember how he got here. He remembers being at the Citadel, but that's about it."

"What about her?" Anakin asks, gesturing to Y/N with his artificial hand.

Rex replies, "I'm not entirely sure. She keeps threatening Wat Tambor's organs."

"Yes, I do! Like a boss!" Y/N yells, making almost everyone jump in surprise. "He's gonna eat his own stomach when I'm through with him. I'll hang the crik from a noose made of his own intestines! Flay his skin to use it to make me a jacket, or at best, a clutch-sized purse!"

Tech mutters, "What did they do to her?" horror plastered on his face as he works.

Anakin hesitates, then asks, "Any word on the extraction squad?"

"We called it in, but no word back." Rex answers.

There's a crashing outside as a droid is thrown into the room, Y/N barely registering anything as the computer continues to talk to her, but she's seen this episode enough to know the script.

Anakin shrugs, "Well, that's no surprise. We knew when we got into this we'd be on our own."

The other clones walk into the room, closing the door. Y/N looks up to see the red and black armour of the Bad Batch.

"It's gonna get more difficult to get out of here. There are several squads of droids closing in." Hunter warns as they try to keep the door closed.

Crosshair frowns, "Enemy approaching. Droids... lots of 'em."

Anakin asks, "How long do you think you can hold them off?"

Crosshair asks, "How long do you need?" sealing the door closed.

"Tech, how much longer?" Anakin asks.

"Not yet. I need a little more time." Tech answers.

Y/N groans, grabbing her head with her left hand as the computer continues spewing orders at her, her spewing insults back at it inside her own mind, telling it to rack off with song lyrics.

"I've got it, we can unplug them now." Tech frowns.

Rex starts pulling out the plugs attached to Echo, then quickly turns to Y/N, pulling out the plugs attached to her. She holds in a scream as the plugs are pulled out, painfully.

Y/N groans, "That hurt like hell. But I can hear my own thoughts again, thank goodness. No more computers screaming into my head."

"Rex?" Echo asks.

Rex asks, "What is it?"

Echo coughs for a moment before chuckling, "I got a big headache."

"Join the club. I've just realised I'm *cough* missing an arm and a *cough* a leg, I'm malnourished, and I'm pretty damn sure they pulled out my eyes and put them back in for fun. Good thing they had *cough* they had the decency to leave me with a bra and pants." Y/N retorts, pushing herself up off the floor, Tech grabbing her to help her up.

Rex smirks, "Better to feel something than nothing, old buddy."

"It's a touching reunion, guys, but we need to get out of here now." Anakin frowns.

"Maybe for you, I'm just a teen that got dangled up into this mess by accident. I'm so getting the Techno Union buttheads back for this." Y/N groans.

"There's an exhaust vent that leads to the cooling systems right there." Echo groans, pointing above them.

"It's true. It goes through this entire place." Y/N nods, still grabbing her head.

"They've breached the front door! It won't be long before they breach the second." Hunter announces.

Y/N yells, "Then get over here and help us escape, soldiers!"

Echo puts his metal arm into a socket and twists it around while Y/N finally looks at everyone, seeing them with her own eyes. Tech, Rex, and Echo all have similar faces, which is to be expected, but they are different. Different hair, but the same eyes. She notices her yoyo just hiding in the corner. She picks it up, shoving it in her pocket.

"That should get it open." Echo announces, opening the exhaust vent.

"Great! Now how do we get up there?" Crosshair asks.

Wrecker smirks, "I can help with that."

He then picks Hunter up with a few exclamations of surprise and protesting and throws him into the vent.

"A heads up would've been nice!" Hunter exclaims.

Y/N hobbles over to Rex, who helps her onto his back just before getting thrown up. Echo hangs onto Tech as he's thrown up. Almost everyone's thrown up, except Anakin, who jumps by himself.

"Why do the Force users get the coolest jumps?" Y/N mutters as she climbs up with the others, wincing at every bit of pressure used.

Anakin asks Wrecker, "What are you doing?"

Wrecker answers, "I'm putting an end to Tambor's little science experiment."

"DESTROY IT ALL! Burn it to the ground for what they did to us!" Y/N screams, making a few faces stare at her. "What? I'm from a family of Pyromaniacs and these fools have completely ruined my life by making me a cyborg. Can you really blame me?"

Anakin asks Wrecker, "Are you done? Time's up."

Suddenly, a robotic ball floats into the room below them and Wrecker's yells are heard. Anakin grabs him with the Force, pulling him up, which Y/N watches with fascination. Watching the Force being used on a screen is one thing, but seeing it in person? So unreal. She gets up, being helped by Wrecker as the group plods along, Rex helping Echo.

"Huh. This ventilation corridor acts as a cooling system for all the computers in the facility." Tech frowns.

Anakin asks, "How did you know it was up here, Echo?"

"And Y/N!" Y/N exclaims, trying to make sure they knew her name.

Echo replies, "Well, they got access to my memory, and I got access to the Techno Union database. All their plans, inventory, building schematics... everything."

Y/N nods, "Mostly same story here... I think. Still a bit fuzzy. How hard was it to get into here anyway? It must've been almost impossible."

Wrecker laughs, "Nah, it was pretty easy."

Y/N thinks, "But that doesn't make sense, unless... they didn't get into my mind..."

Everyone turns to Echo, Hunter asking, "You mean you can find us a safe way out of here?"

"It's a way out, but you guys ain't gonna like it at all." Y/N chuckles. "But first, I need my stuff."

She pushes herself away from Wrecker, remembering where she left her stuff. She continues limping, the group following her intrigued as she finds an old box.

"Ah, here it is."

She pulls out her guitar and Bat'leth, strapping them both to her back.

"We can go now. Hope you brought parachutes."

***

The group opens a door to reveal a pipe leading to another building, millions of miles above the ground.

"I don't know about this!" Rex exclaims.

Y/N frowns, "Look, Echo will agree, there's a landing pad on the other building!"

Hunter asks, "So, you think there's a ship there we can steal?"

"Well, I hope there's a ship there we can steal." Echo corrects.

Y/N jokes, "It's not stealing, it's surprise borrowing, but we never give it back."

"Let's hope this trip isn't for nothing." Hunter frowns.

The group walks along a beam towards the other building, Y/N walking behind Wrecker.

"Oh, boy. I can't even look. Just keep walking, Tech." Wrecker panics.

Tech deadpans, "That's fine, but if you fall, don't take me with you."

Wrecker continues to complain, "Uh-oh. I looked. Ahh! I think I'm gonna be sick. Not gonna panic."

Y/N grabs Wreckers hand, making him turn to her.

"It's alright, Wrecker. We're almost there. Just take it one step at a time. Right foot, left foot, right foot, left foot." She smiles.

"Turn around! Go back!" Anakin yells.

Y/N turns around quickly to see droids behind them. She looks to Anakin's side to see droids there as well.

"Impossible! We're surrounded. I only see two ways out of this, and they both could end in certain death!" Y/N yells out.

Crosshair suddenly falls, Wrecker diving for him, catching him.

"Anyone got a brilliant idea?" Anakin asks.

Tech smiles, "I do have a brilliant idea."

Y/N yells, "It's a brilliant plan! Do it!"

"You haven't even-"

"I'm trying to save time here! We all know how this goes! You say some technobabble few of us understand, do something that we might disagree to but do anyway because there's no other choice, we almost die, then we survive and we all become best buddies! Can we please move this along, Tech? That's how it goes!" Y/N screams in anger, before facepalming. "I sound like Della."

Tech explains, "When the locals attacked us, I recorded the creatures' distress call."

Hunter frowns, "He records everything. It's a hobby."

Tech continues, "Which allows us to call those flying creatures to us."

He plays a high pitched screeching sound, making almost everyone cover their ears. Y/N ignores the noise, already used to it with heavy metal music blasting in her ears many hours of the day before coming to this universe. The clones shoot more droids.

"There is our ride out of here!" Tech announces, pointing to flying creatures.

"Yay! I get to ride a dragon!" Y/N squeals like a kid, before pouting, "Too bad it's not a Whispering Death or a Flightmare."

Anakin asks, "Now, how do we get on them?"

"How else? We jump!" Tech announces.

Y/N yells as she jumps onto the creature, "Hiiiiyuuuuuu-oooohhhhhhhhh!"(The Mighty Eagle Battle Cry.)

The rest of the group jumps onto the creatures.

"This is more fun than I've had since I stole all the sweets without getting caught!" Y/N laughs as the creatures now fly through the sky away from the hellhole they've been in.

"Uh, that wasn't part of the plan. Those things can fly!" Tech frowns.

Y/N turns behind her to look at the droids.

"Damn it. I forgot about them." Y/N growls, steering the creature towards the others. "Toss me a gun!" She orders as they dodge the droids laser fire.

"We have to shake those droids!" Anakin yells.

Y/N yells, "No, you have to destroy them!" grabbing a gun from Crosshair.

She aims the gun with her left hand, a difficult task to do, shooting the droids, hitting one in the wing, one in the head, and another in the chest. She laughs before almost falling off the creature. She steers back towards Crosshair.

"I'm finished. You can have it back!" Y/N smiles, tossing the gun back towards him.

"Are you insane?!" Anakin yells towards the girl.

Y/N exclaims, "I thought we already established this!"

***

They fly into a nearby camp, landing the creatures. An alien starts speaking to Anakin and the Bad Batch.

"Their leader is impressed we tamed the Keeradaks, but he wants to know why we returned here." Tech tells Anakin.

Anakin answers, "Tell him we had no choice. Tell him... that we wore out our welcome in Purkoll."

"You got that right." Y/N mutters, adjusting her robotic arm, glaring at the piece of metal that used to be where her hand was.

Just as Tech finishes translating, blaster fire is shot into the camps, the aliens running for cover as Y/N grabs another gun, shooting at the droids.

"Not good. If I know Tambor, he'll come after us, us and the Poletecs, with everything he's got." Anakin frowns.

The alien makes more noises in his language, clearly upset at the Separatists attack.

"What's he saying, Tech?" Anakin asks.

Tech answers, "He says that we have broken our word. We have brought the war to his village."

Rex frowns, "You're right. Tell him he's right, Tech. Tell him we didn't plan to drag his people into war. But look what the Separatists did to one of our people and an adolescent civilian!" Y/N and Echo walk up, revealing their pale skin and metal protruding out of their body. "They took away their freedom, their humanity. They tried to turn them into machines." Tech translates his words. "The Techno Union claims it's neutral, but they have chosen sides. Now your people have to choose."

"Couldn't have said it better, Rex." Anakin smiles.

"Ugh! Let's hope it works, because I see forces coming... More than we can handle alone." Crosshair frowns.

Y/N nods, "It'll work. They don't have their algorithm anymore to determine how to win the battle."

While waiting in ambush, Y/N sharpens her bat'leth with a rock she found. Might as well make her weapon sharp and useful, even if it is just metal. Hunter walks over, his helmet off, and Y/N finds herself realising he looks even cooler in person. That tattoo on his face is much more intimidating in person, and his face looks like the actor that played Jango, Temuera Morrison, only longer, and with shaggy hair. He's probably attractive, but to be fair, Y/N honestly thinks that a PS4 is attractive.

"I've been meaning to ask you, kid. What kind of weapon is that?" Hunter asks.

Y/N smirks, "It's a bat'leth. Dangerous to your enemies if you know how to use it. Dangerous to both of you if you don't. Mainly for close combat. It's not always practical, carrying around a weapon as big as a person but it gets the job done when close. Mainly for people with two hands, which I had, but Techno Buttsnacks got rid of it. But I'm good with a gun too. My siblings and I used to play with toy guns with each other, and I always hit them. Then there's my yoyo, which, in all fairness, was made as a toy for doing tricks with, but it is by far my most dangerous weapon. Mainly when it's got wire as a string instead of actual string."

The Separatist droids land, searching the camp. Y/N ties her yoyo around her right prosthetic, looping it around a little notch in it.

"Oops. Been talking too long. Time to get to work, Tracker!" Y/N smirks.

"It's Hunter, actually." He smiles, putting his helmet on.

"I know. Just get ready for that landslide plan." Y/N smirks and slides down, hiding behind a stone.

A giant round rock starts rolling, crushing many droids. The alien species charges at the droids, Y/N following suit, swinging the yoyo around at any droid that comes within a metre of her. One jumps right in front of her, and she hits him in the face, then swings around and swings it into its chest, making it malfunction.

"Huh. What do you know? It really is my most dangerous weapon. Dora was right. Might have to add some blades to it." Y/N shrugs.

She sees an alien about to be attacked by a droid and she jumps onto the droid, pulling its arm off and choking it with the yoyo string. The creature makes a noise that she's sure is a thank you.

"De Nada." She smiles, swinging the yoyo again with her left hand while dodging.

She attacks more, running towards Echo, slicing through any droid that attacks. It's safer for her to be with Echo right now, considering he's just doing long-range.

"You tore me apart, used my mind for your twisted games, now it's my turn to utterly destroy you!" Y/N screams, punching her right arm through one droid, killing it as she slices through another with her yoyo.

Suddenly, another robot comes down, looking like a three-legged spider, which shoots down a few of the Keeradaks and kills a few aliens.

"Give me a big, fat, break!" Y/N grumbles.

She falls over just as the spiderbot walker shoots another blast. Her eyes widen in fear, rolling out of the way as it shoots again. Suddenly, she feels herself being picked up by some buff hands and being thrown over a shoulder.

"Gotcha, kid!" Wrecker's voice shouts.

Y/N sighs, "There's more coming."

Wrecker takes her off his shoulder, Rex turning her to him.

"Get to Echo and the General, kid. We'll handle this." Rex orders.

Y/N shrugs, "Sure. I'm utterly useless here anyway."

Rex goes to protest, but Y/N's already gone, using the yoyo like a grapple, climbing up to Echo and Anakin. She grabs a gun from off the ground and shoots with her left hand, hitting half her targets. She gasps as a droid appears behind Echo.

"Behind you, Echo!" Y/N calls out, throwing her yoyo behind his back, knocking away the droid.

Echo smiles, "Thanks."

"Don't thank me yet!" Y/N glares, trying to shoot with her left hand.

Anakin picks up his communicator and activates it.

"Rex, we've gotta take out these walkers. I'll take one, you take the other." He orders.

Y/N rolls her eyes, sitting down, blasting any other droids that show up.

"Don't worry, General. The boys and I can handle it." Rex replies.

Y/N yells, "Wrecker's gonna throw you, Rex!"

Echo chuckles as Anakin prepares to jump.

"Still showing off, huh, General?" Echo asks.

Anakin smirks, "You know me, Echo."

He jumps off, slicing part of the robot's many antennae off.

"So, um, Echo... before I became part of that algorithm... did you... Did you see how I got into the building?" Y/N asks.

Echo turns, "I'm not entirely sure what I saw. The security cameras glitched out and suddenly you were there. And you did give quite a show."

Y/N chuckles, "Well, at least they didn't figure out how I got into the building."

Echo asks, "Weren't you connected to the-"

"Yes, however, I have a strong mind and a thick skull. Big mental walls. Just fed them useless crap. Drove those freaks insane." Y/N chuckles.

She then shoots behind Echo, knocking a droid out of the sky.

"Good shot." Echo smiles.

"I'd've been better if they got rid of my left arm." Y/N growls.

"If you're quite done chatting, I need to concentrate." Crosshair frowns.

Y/N covers her mouth as he shoots the machine, blowing it to bits.

***

"Thank you for helping us in our fight." Anakin smiles to the alien.

Tech translates back to the alien. The alien replies, seemingly kindly.

Tech translates, "He said the Jedi will always have an ally here on Skako Minor."

Y/N smiles and waves to the aliens as they walk off.

"Rex," Echo hesitates, making Rex turn to him, "Thanks for coming after me."

Rex replies, "That's what brothers do. I'm just sorry it took so long."

"He thought you were dead." Y/N deadpans.

The two clones stare at the human, upset she ruined their moment.

"Oh, sorry, did I ruin a heartfelt moment?" Y/N chuckles nervously, rubbing the back of her neck with her prosthetic.

Rex turns back to Echo, "Hopefully, it's gonna be just like old times."

Rex walks into the ship, Y/N putting her hand on Echo's shoulder.

"We both know it's not. I saw what happened to you. You've all changed." Y/N whispers, pulling him onto the ship.
