Meanwhile in the First Order, Hux went to report Kylo Ren's betrayal to Snoke.
"So it appears that the Confederacy of Independent Systems has returned, General Hux."
"Yes Master, and Kylo Ren has betrayed us. He has sided with them," Hux replied.
"You will take his place, General," Snoke answered.
Hux tried to contain his excitement. "Yes Master," he replied calmly.
"Do not fail me."
"I won't Master," he promised. "You won't regret this decision."
The hologram of Snoke disappeared.

The next day in the new CIS...
Poe smiled as he looked over Chloe who lay next to him. She snuggled closer to him as she saw that he was awake.
Chloe nuzzled him then kissed his lips.
Poe smiled before returning the kiss.
"I suppose we should go see what everyone else is doing," he said ruefully as they pulled apart.
Chloe nodded then they both got dressed and went to find their friends.
They found Ben, Rey and Finn sitting together, looking out a window at the stars.
Ben was trying to make friends with Finn and the other Resistance members, but making friends wasn't exactly his strong suit.
Rey knew that it would take time for Ben and Finn to get along, and she decided to sit between them to keep the peace. But they just sat there in awkward silence and Rey wasn't sure how to break it. If it was just her and Finn she could have talked about their first adventure together, but that would lead to Han and she knew that would be a very touchy subject for Ben. And if it was just Ben she could have asked him the questions that she needed answered, but he would barely answer when they were alone let alone around others.
As Poe and Chloe came up they all heaved a sigh of relief that something had broken the silence.
"Poe, it's good to see you," Finn said happily.
"Yeah, we've just been sitting here in awkward silence," Ben mumbled.
"Assessment: it's dinner time, Masters," a strange droid said.
"That's HK-47, he's a hunter killer series assassin droid that belonged to Darth Revan," Chloe explained, straightening her fur.
"Darth Revan?" Ben asked. "It's amazing that it's survived this long, but as my mother says never underestimate a droid."
Poe nodded with a smile, BB8 had taught him that lesson.
"Let's eat, I'm starving," Finn said.
Rey smiled at him.
